Abagworo: We had this discussion in old Nairaland when I was younger and our conclusion was that it is impossible without a war. Most communities that separate Igbos from sea had always used it to their advantage from pre-colonial times and would not want to lose it now. ^^^Just shut up! What makes you think all our neighbours are as bigoted and anti-Igbo like you!? If or when the funds become available to construct Obuaku Seaport, why don't you go and suggest to whoever to start trouble! When i tell my people that Ndigbo just need to free themselves from this shithole of a country, some will think i'm just crying wolf! NDPVF: [s][/s]You are better than this. It will be "easier" for you people to have your 'Biafra' from LNR(if at the end of the day,you ain't comfortable with LNR),than it would be,from Nigeria. Same applicable to my people. But i doubt it that any component part of LNR,would want out, because,a thorough look, was taken on the problems of Nigeria, and a fortifide constitutional template was drafted,to kill any form of "Nigerian Disease" in her, hence,we are 99.999...% sure of peace, unity, progress, patriotism, love, etc. But i know your anger/fear i.e the previous mentality of some of our people, towards you igbos as was ably engineered by Yoruba media propaganda/war.I can boldly tell you now that, those ill perceptions, are gone and gone for good, and that, their is common saying among our people now, which is,"We knows better now". You might also not be comfortable with the name,if truth, what makes you think that after we might achieved our goal, that we cant subject the change of name,to referrendum, and do justice to it.WE ARE MOSTLY DEMOCRATS REMEMBER?. ^^^Sensible post! |

May God fu.....ck up any Igbo leader who refuses to look inward on how to move his part of Alaigbo forward, but is shamelessly and ''un-igbotically'' depending on clueless Buhari for political appointment in a stillborn national government. Kudos to Obiano. ^^^The APC crew from the South East readily comes to mind! Also, i'm fast losing faith in Rochas style of governance! It's beginning to be more of talk and little of substance! Upon all the trips he's made abroad since becoming Governor, what evidence is there on ground to prove his trips have been yielding results!? Sweetguy25: Crap. Its a shame that Nowhere in the south south is as developed and organized like Abuja, even port harcourt and calabar which by virtue of their historic antecedents are meant to be some of the developed areas in Africa are nothing but glorified rural areas. Abuja that was developed with oil money looks better than areas where the oil is sourced from. Nigeria is big joke. ^^^This is the long and short of it all! Any South South or South Easterner that can't see the glaring injustice, inequity and daylight robbery some are perpetuating in the name of 'one Nigeria'....such a person has eyes but refuses to see! Just why the fuc/k shouldn't cities like Uyo, Calabar and Port Harcourt be up to the standard of Abuja.....if not better!? |

Why does Igbos wanting to excercise their right to self determination rile you up so? In an independent Alaigbo or Lower Niger Republic, all would be welcome....including you! In any case, ECOWAS, AU and the UN would take a dim view on anyone harassing anyone else based on gender, race or creed! Just my thoughts. ^^^Precisely! All our cousins and neighbours should be welcome.....they should give it another name though! What the older Igbo association should do is help the Ijaw/Kalabari set up their own union so eventually they can become an independent/heterogenous union of their own! |

You talk as if you don't know how the Nigerian political-economy has been configured since from late 60s to the coming of GEJ! GEJ levelled the playing field a bit! This is one of the reasons they (you know who) hate him and wanted him out.....so they could return things back to what they conspired it to be! It was in GEJs presidency that you saw the emergence, raise, or solidifying of the investment/business interests of wealthy Igbo entrepreneurs; people like INNOSON, A B C Orjiakor, Elumelu, NESTOIL, IBETO, etc!
