Latest developments at the Golf course layout. ........ this place is turning out to be a good habitat for the young and upwardly mobile.
^^^I know i'm expecting too much, but i wish.....hope the internal roads of all these newly opened-up areas are done to exacting international standards: underground drainage; underground cabling for electricity and communications; sidewalks; street lights; trees; and open green spaces or parks!

This is the difference between most of our new estates in the East and those ones you see in Abuja!

You're really funny. How can Ugwuanyi be up to 80 years? Seems like you've been in too much contact with old peeps that you now find it hard to differentiate.

Happy Sunday. cool
^^^Don't mind them!

The guy should be in his mid to late forties......a relative spring-chicken as far as politics in Nigeria is concerned!
PoliticsRe: Why Is It That Biafra Discussion Too Much These Days? by IGBOSON2: 1:27pm On Jun 07, 2015
radgenez:
we all wnt biafra but dont really know how to go abt it..we might be marginalised in nigeria but will we fare better in our own country..politically yes but that is not a good reason to throw ur childrens future into uncertainty all this biafra talk does nothing but absolve our governors of their responsibilities...we will still have ta orji ohakim and all our useless ex governors as leaders in any country we decide to establish we should sort ourselves in nigeria first.
^^^On the contrary, what's shielding those thieving visionless fuc/kers like Orji and Ohakim is 'Abuja'! If not for Abuja (PDP and GEJ) Abia state wouldn't have been saddled with Orjis' stooge today, and he certainly wouldn't have been able to rig his way into the Senate after 8 wasteful years as Governor of one of the easiest states to govern in Nigeria! They all would be answerable to Enugu or wherever else our capital would be!

Nigeria.....a country that allows coup plotters, murderers and thieves to be in power or in the corridors of power; a country where all component parts are not treated equally or fairly: is this the country you're holding up as a better alternative to self-governance?
PoliticsRe: To Get Biafra, Forget About Biafra by IGBOSON2: 12:46pm On Jun 07, 2015

I served in cross river, that was the first time i came across people with a deep seated animosities against the igbos, they told so many stories ( apparently most of these stories are lies) about how the igbos tried to change the names of their towns to igbo names during the civil war and they boasted about how they allowed the Nigerian troops into their lands to sabotage the igbos....trust them at your peril.
^^^Just out of curiousity, what precipitated all these discussions between a Yoruba youth corper and all these many Cross Riverians on just how 'evil' the Biafran soldiers were to them during the war! Presumably you didn't just waltz up to gathered groups of locals and declare 'don't you guys agree the yeebos are a nasty lot'!? Did you also discuss other ethnicities with them?
PoliticsRe: Buhari Leaves For G7 Summit In Germany by IGBOSON2: 10:45pm On Jun 06, 2015
Looks like dude loves the perks of the job more than anything else!

I'd gladly give him and his thuggish APC party apparatchiks a one-way ticket to boiling Mars if given half a chance! That'll be the mother of all trips: trip of a lifetime......literally! lipsrsealed

how much commercial oil does this area you listed have? There is oil almost everywhere in the world. The issue is dat not all are commercial. And even among those that are commercial, some are also so small to make any impact. Compare to d main Niger delta region, d oil in those place you listed is negligible.
^^^If as you say, the oil and gas in Imo and Abia is insignificant, why then doesn't Nigeria hands off it?

Also, do you realise that both Imo and Abia states would have been self-sufficient if they kept all the proceeds from oil and gas exploitation to themselves without having to share it with ungrateful knobheads like you!?

Do you also realise that oil and gas found in commercial quantity in Alaigbo isn't limited only to Imo and Abia states?

^^^The peeps who hitherto proved to be stumbling blocks to the passing of the bill now feel sweet that GEJ and Diezani are no more on seat; and i bet that contentious part that makes the entire country host communities was left as it is!

It's not them i blame....i blame our useless and impotent southern political elite who can't seem to be able to stand like a man and fight their corner like the core northern Muslims do!

PoliticsRe: The Hypocrisy Of The North And Boko Haram by IGBOSON2: 3:34pm On Jun 01, 2015
chigo93:
Terrorism is nt a conventional war it's a kind of modern sophisticated war. Ask the Americans why they pulled out of somalia, iraq, now Afghanistan. I don't know if you want to be objective or not, but, the truth is terrorism cannot be defeated totally,we need a smart way of countering the insurgents before they carry out their acts, this means looking for efficient ways to gather intelligence. The job of intelligence gathering is a very secretive and tactful one. What buhari just did is to inform shekau and his gang that the Army is on a high gear, this translates to boko haram taking preventive measures and shifting it's assets to other locations other than maiduguri. The truth is that, insurgency can never end, and if I'm right it means through out buhari's tenure the command centre will be in maiduguri these doesn't really stop boko haram from killing innocent kids even in maiduguri and other locations. Ihejirika was doing a very good job, but this same buhari cried out that the Army was killing muslims. Smh
^^^@Bolded: Not necessarily!

Wherever and whenever the bokos move their epicentre of attacks, the entire Nigerian military high-command will pick their bag and baggages and -like we see in Scobby Doo cartoons- chase after them with legs moving so fast all you see is a circular blur! wink

See how you are exposing yourself. Yoruba and Hausa were tribalists but your ibo brother was a nationalist
^^^Yes, they were! It's on record they both never truly believed in a TRUE Nigerian nation....and they both put their regions/peoples first before Nigeria! But i don't hold no grudge against them as Nigeria is a jungle, and one has to first protect his own! Maybe Ndigbo wouldn't be in the position we presently find ourselves if Azikiwe and Ironsi were a little more tribalistic and a little less gullible, naive and nationalistic!

I'd like to know why they felt it was necessary to move the thread from the politics section....even after this issue had been settled last year by the site owner!

Thanks!

If the SE didn't get the SGF position (which the Arewa group have perfected plans to make a lame duck position going by Commasies statement on the issue), what position were you expecting them to get?

We will see Okorochas and Ngiges' influence -or lack thereof- when it comes to the time to appoint the service chiefs and top ministerial positions like Aviation, FCT, Finance or Petroleum ministers!

I read the ugwuanyi speech...where he would get money to do all that is a concern as Enugu is not yet commercial or industrial state...which industrial park around Enugu outskirts is he talking about?anyone knows?
^^^There was talk last year or year before of the Chinese investing in an industrial/technology layout! Maybe this is what he's referring to, and would likely tie in with the newly approved Free-Trade-Zone (FTZ) status GEJ granted Enugu just before he left office!

Interesting speech. Working on Nsuka and ninth mile corner is a much welcome developement

This smacks of all kinds of nonsense. I bet TA Orji couldn't fold his arms while other out going governors were commissioning projects.
^^^Hehehehehe grin grin grin

Who no like praise!? Only difference is that other Governors are commissioning completed projects unlike Ochendo-global!

I saw the beautiful edifice (state secretariat) Chime commissioned last week and was impressed! And the completed Lion building was just as impressive as well!
