Good day Mentors and fellow Data Science/Analytics Enthusiasts I humbly need your advice and guide on forging this new path. Let me just table my matter here for you. I have a B.Sc and M.Sc in Geoscience but been working as a project coordinator in telecoms service industry especially in the areas of equipment installations and site maintenance. Recently I moved to the UK but seeing the way way I.T is making waves here, I have decided to reignite my passion for data science so I need your advice and answers to some of my questions 1. Like how many months would it take a newcomer like me to learn to the stage of being employable as a data scientist/analyst role 2. I have intermediate knowledge on excel, just need to brush up to advanced levels with some online tutorials 3. I started the datascience journey late last year with Coursera and IBM and even had some projects submitted on github, done 5 out of 9 stages on IBM_coursera Data Science Specialization using Pythons(Jupyter, Pandas, etc) but I still feel there are lots missing as I dont feel I am doing the right things. I am good with theory and self-learning and I smash all the exams accross these 5 stages I have done so far and issued the certificates but deep within me, I am not confident I have the practical knowledge, although I dont practice quite often, I crash-read alot, a course that would take some folks 3weeks with enough time to practice, I might just rush it within few hours an pass the exams and certificates thus making me feel not confident to defend it. I feel maybe this is a flaw. 4. Now I want to learn properly and dedicate more time. So I need guidance on how to make the journey and the tools/materials/resources I need to learn one after the other in a sequential manner to really aid my understanding and also boost my confidence after learning and if there are sites or online schools I need to register 5. Most importantly, is this doable for a novice that is just coming into I.T and again, like how many months for me to be able to thrashing job interviews if I learned what is required Thanks in anticipation for your responses |
Yes I did. Activated it using the barcode given and submitted successfully opomulero: |
Good evening my loving Nairalanders. Please I have come again for your advice . Today is my day 9 of self isolation in the UK after my arrival. My test kit for Day 2 was delivered on day 6, the second test kit delivered today and I am yet to receive results for my day 2 test. Please my question is, can I go out of isolation on the 11th day or is it until I must have received my 2 test results which obviously might not come tomorrow. The reason British Airways is marketing this dysfunctional company(Qured) is beyond me |

Good morning to everyone on here. Trust we are doing good. Please I would appreciate if anyone can help me clarify some things here 1. Does British airline accept naira debit Mastercard to book flights if one is going to the UK 2. I heard car insurance is quite expensive in the UK. Please Which of the following licence will give a lower insurance cost? The Nigeria driver's licence? International driver's licence or UK Provisional licence? And also can i have an idea of the costs as well? Can license have some kind of little impact on insurance especially for new entrants, someone mentioned it does but I am not sure. Thanks as you take your time to enlightene me |

Thanks for the swift response. Her CoS is still valid and dependent maintenance was ticked. Thanks about the clarification on the documents submission, so I do not need to show original copy of marriage cert when I go for Biometrics Thanks giselle237: |
Has her COS expired? Was dependent maintenance ticked yes also? If the cos is still valid and dependent’s maintenance was ticked then u can use same cos to apply without providing POF. However if the COS has expired, u need to show POF. Either u provide ur funds tht have stayed 90days or her employer writes a letter to cover u... ive forgotten what it’s called. Ur documents including marriage certificate will only be submitted via embassy for ur visa. And they dnt ask for physical copy. What is submitted is scanned copy[/quote]Thanks for the swift response. Good day all and happy new year. Please I need some clarification. My wife, a nurse relocated to UK following the route of Tier2 Skilled worker and her employer paid for all the traveling processes with a 3months accommodation. In her CoS, it was ticked by employer to certify Maintenance Now I am applying as a defendant, would I need proof of funds and also am I required to physically present the original copy of our marriage certificate? I am with the scanned copy and photocopy as she took the original along with her. Thanks |
