Just like Middle belt is separate from the North, so is Niger Delta separate from Igboland.

You can not mischievously merge SS/SE together under spurious grounds while seeing the wisdom and objectivity of separating North and MiddleBelt.

Today I'll be trying my Best to save my Maternal Tribe's language called Epie-Attisa. spoken Predominantly in Yenagoa the Capital city of Bayelsa State. And the Fourth major language in Bayelsa After Izon ,Nembe and Ogbia. Epie is an Delta Edoid language normally spoken by The Natives of Yenagoa who have a myth of Migrating from Benin. But that is Changing as most young folks from 30 to 1 year olds can't speak the Language because of the Nativization and Creolization of English and Pidgin especially in the Niger delta. I stumbled upon this thread of yours and I had to comment on it because of some outrightly dangerous or at best potentially dangerous information being peddled here by a supposed native of Epie and Bayelsa state.

First, There is no language called Izon in bayelsa that is different from Nembe, Ogbia or your Epie. The word is Ijo and it describes the entire Ijo people and her dialects and divergent languages. Izon is only the pronunciation of the word Ijo by a group of Ijo dialects which compulsively interchange letters J and Z. they pronounce John as Zohn, and Zinc as Jink.

Secondly, the evolution of the Epie Ijaw clan and it's language is a historical testament of the aboriginal and ancient status of the Ijo people as the oldest ethnicity in the Niger delta. This is so because Epie was once a purely Ijaw ancient city state before it absorbed Efa migrants who escaped the tyranny of their ruler, the Ogiso. This is clearly before the foundation of Benin and it's monarchy in the 1100s so Epie could not possibly be of Benin origin but one of the many Ijaw clans that harboured Efa (pre-edoid) people.

It may interest you to know that more than 50 percent of what is known as Urhoboland are of Ijaw origin including the people of Ughelli whose origin is of Tarakiri Ijaw origin. Again, there is no indigenous urhobo people in bayelsa state. Ofoni people like Epie is a purely Ijaw territory whose language became altered due to their interactions with ancient Efa people.
