PoliticsNigerian Government Adopts Measures To Reduce Food Prices by ijebuloaded(op): 4:11pm On Feb 08, 2017
The Federal Government of Nigeria says it has adopted some measures to reduce the price of food items.

This was revealed by the Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, on Wednesday while addressing State House correspondents at the end of the meeting of the Federal Executive Council, FEC.

The Council had last week set up a task force to advise the government on how best to address the rising cost of food items across the country.

Mr. Ogbeh said the task force submitted an interim report to the council on Wednesday. He said the committee had identified that the hike in cost is “not due to shortage but high cost of transportation”.

He said food items are generally moved across Nigeria with heavy trucks and the price of diesel which has gone up has therefore, led to increase in prices.

He said the government had therefore, decided to “start using railway wagons to transport food items.”

The minister said the use of wagons to transport cattle from the north to Lagos has already greatly helped in reducing cost and will be replicated in food distribution.

“We will also work with state governments to reduce delays experienced by trucks along the roads through all sort of taxes by local governments,” he said.

Mr. Ogbeh also said the government has decided to adopt the “Ivory Coast model” in which trucks distributing food items are given special labels.

InvestmentTen Lies MMM Subscribers Told Themselves by ijebuloaded(op): 2:24pm On Feb 05, 2017
1. There is No Central Account So Your Money Cannot Be Taken By Anyone

The truth is that MMM is setup in such a way that the guys at the top can channel and transfer huge funds probably going into hundreds of millions of naira out of the system and leave the low-level members to pay for it. This is primarily what has happened; you don’t see top Guiders complaining? Why? They have made their huge profits from gaming gullible people at the bottom of the pyramid.

2. It is a Mutual Help Community

If this is so, I am sure Nigerians are very kind people, the fact that millions cannot ‘Get Help’ tells you, you entered a Ponzi scheme not a mutual help community.

3. Authorities in Different Countries are Against MMM Because it Threatens Commercial Banks

This is practically not true in Nigeria because you Mavrodians were paying money into each other’s’ bank accounts; the more transactions you do, the more money banks make. Nigerian regulators like the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) warned people against MMM and similar schemes because it is their duty to do so. As you probably realize now, they cannot help you if you lose money from the scheme, what they should have done, they did.

4. MMM is Not an Investment, It is Charity

Then why are you worried and your blood pressure rising? I do not lose sleep over charity I give, if you are losing sleep over money you put in MMM that is not coming back to you, then you were investing in the hopes of a huge return, not giving charity.

5. Mavrodi Cares So Much About the World and Created MMM to Help the Poor

Really? An ex-convict from Russia where you can get away with a lot of things that will land you in jail in other countries cares about you? Sorry, Sergei Mavrodi is just a convict that has not changed his ways.

6. You are Helping to Positively Change the World by Joining and Promoting MMM

You mean you are helping Mavrodi scam more people. The world definitely needs positive change. However, it is not going to come from Ponzi schemes like MMM.

7. Those that are Asking You Not to Join MMM are Jealous of Mavrodians

‘A fool and his money are easily parted’, nothing to be jealous about in this.

8. Mavros keep Growing and are Actually Worth Much

At least now you know that you can have 1 trillion Mavros but it will not buy you anything at the market, maybe a dirty slap though.

9. Nobody is Controlling the System, It is self-sustaining

Now, you know better of course. From freezing accounts to changing the rules in the middle of the game, you definitely have someone bossing you around in this Ponzi scheme.

10. Those that Warn You Against MMM Do Not Want to Be Rich

You really need to be part of our organization’s meetings to see that there are probably very few Mavrodians that have more drive to make money than me. The only difference is some of us seek legitimate money and are not looking for get-rich-quick schemes.

Romance6 Interesting Facts About Dating Yoruba Boys by ijebuloaded(op): 4:16pm On Feb 04, 2017
By now I am sure you must have seen different posts and screenshots with Yoruba boys being labelled as demons that would jump into your life with their flowing ‘agbadas’. Oblivious to this, Yoruba boys are not as evil as most people have painted them to be. They are just good looking guys from a well cultured part of Nigeria.

We understand you may have personal beef for them as they are most ladies’ favorites with their unending uniqueness and ‘swags’. But the populace as a whole does not give Yoruba boys much choice when it comes to their heart-breaking moves. Ladies seem to be all over them and do not give them the chance to miss other ladies who sashayed out of their lives.

Lol, do not shoot me. That was on a lighter note. But as a matter of fact, these guys are irresistible. Ask any lady around you about her love history and there is bound to be some ‘Femi’, ‘Kunle’, or ‘Wale’ in her life. Let us move on from here and see the interesting part of dating Yoruba boys:

1. They could be loyal

Now what makes Yoruba boys different from every other guy out there? Men cheat, lie and play girls. The fact that a cheating guy is from that tribe in Nigeria does not mean every other Yoruba boy would be just the same.

Hausa boys also act smart on some unsuspecting Aisha and Halima. And an Igbo boy may be sleeping with Nnenna and Nkechi at the same time. Duhhhhhhh!

2. They are interesting

things you should know about dating Yoruba boys
Do you know the amount of fun you could have dating a Yoruba boy? Damn! Yoruba boys are so interesting they turn up at almost every event. Ever seen them showing up at an engagement ceremony? You would love to follow one home immediately. And when you finally have a son, you would love to dress him up the Yoruba way.

3. They are passionate Okay, I know many ladies hate Yoruba boys right now; however, have you thought of the reason why ladies want to kill themselves over them? They are passionate and they know how to do ‘IT’ well. Yes, I know you know what I am talking about. Even Yoruba men in their sixties no dey carry last.

4. They are everywhere Yoruba boys are well-informed; being on Twitter and other social platforms do not make them jobless. They are just guys that are ‘in town’. They know what is happening around them and love to stay informed.

Dear Ladies, do not be angry when a Yoruba boy turns out to be the first person to retweet your post. They know you love attention and want to give it to you. Stop forming hard to please when you secretly enjoy it. Tongue out!

5. They appreciate good friendship

Yoruba boys in group; why you should stop hating Yoruba boys
So what is wrong in finding a group of Yoruba boys at a time? If farmers have association and hair dressers can do meetings from time to time, why can’t Yoruba boys hang out and have fun together? Go and sit down my friend. Find another reason to hate them.

6. They are ‘repping in-laws’

Your brother turns up in the city where you live and he is stuck staying at home watching football alone? This would NEVER happen when you are married to a Yoruba boy. You know how they say ‘Gbogbo aiye foreign’, they are going to give him a swell time you would be so proud of being married to them. If you behave well you are going to be a partaker of that fun. My sister, ‘make head stand still’ and enjoy being with a Yoruba boy. Winks.

CrimeNigerian Soldier Jailed For Killing Civilian by ijebuloaded(op): 10:11am On Feb 02, 2017
A Nigerian soldier has been jailed for seven years for killing a man at a market in the country’s northeast, the army announced, in a rare sanction of military excesses against civilians.

The soldier, whose name was not disclosed, was found guilty of manslaughter for shooting dead Umar Alkali at the Monday Market in the key city of Maiduguri on December 23, 2015.

A court martial rejected the soldier’s not guilty plea and claim that he shot Alkali in self-defence and to protect his colleagues because he had tried to seize his rifle.

The panel ruled he had used “disproportionate force”, Nigerian Army spokesman Colonel Sani Usman said in a statement on Wednesday evening.

Human rights groups have repeatedly accused Nigeria’s military of abuses against civilians during the Boko Haram conflict, including arbitrary arrest, torture and extrajudicial killing.

Thousands of people have been rounded up and held for long periods without charge on suspicion of links to the radical Islamist group, which has killed at least 20,000 since 2009.

The crowded Monday Market in central Maiduguri has been repeatedly targeted during the conflict, particularly by suicide bombers.

PoliticsVP Osinbajo Blasts Nigerian Police, Judges For Unlawful Detention Of Suspects by ijebuloaded(op): 1:48pm On Jan 31, 2017
Nigeria's Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday, accused the Nigerian Police Force and judges for keeping suspects in prison custody longer than is legally permissible without trial. The Vice President made the accusation during the opening ceremony of the two-day Stakeholders’ Summit organized by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, where he was represented by Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

At the summit, holding at Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels in Lagos, the Vice President said suspects are kept in prison custody for as long as three years without being charged to court. The situation, he explained, has left over 47,000 suspects still awaiting trial in prisons across the country.

“As at 2017, we have 47,229 "unsentenced" detainees awaiting trial out of a total prison population of 67,586. It may interest you to know that Lagos State has the highest number of unsentenced detainees in Nigeria, according to a recent statistic released by the National Bureau of Statistics and Nigerian Prison Service released in 2015,” said the Vice President.

He noted that 85.9 percent of the Lagos State prison population is made up of yet-to-be-charged detainees, adding that the time spent in detention is dependent on the length of proceedings, which are usually extended because of incessant adjournment or lack of diligence by investigators.

As solutions to lengthy prison custody periods, the Vice President called on the judiciary to embrace a daily trial system and sanction lawyers, who deliberately delay proceedings with the intention of stalling trial. He urged the judges and other relevant stakeholders in justice administration to diligently discharge their duties.

“If we can agree that these problems are against our collective interests as practitioners and stakeholders, then we must make a firm commitment to tackle the problems by changing our attitude and standing up for what is right,” he said.

The Vice President, who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, also accused some judges of sitting for less than three and half hours.

“They will not sit on time and before 3:30pm; they would rise. Such behavior from judges must stop” he said.

Mr. Osinbajo commended Lagos State for the progress made by its judicial system, saying the summit represents an indication of commitment towards building a world class judiciary.

Another speaker at the summit, Mr. Olawale Fapohunda, Managing Partner, Legal Resources Consortium, noted that Lagos State prisons are overcrowded. According to Fapohunda, Ikoyi Prison has a capacity of 800 but holds 2,299 inmates. Badagry Prison, he noted, has a capacity of 130, but holds 375 inmates, while Kirikiri Medium Prison, built to accommodate 1,700 inmates, now holds 2,735.

Celebrities“let Us Educate The Illiterate” Blackface Blasts Tuface For Protest Planning by ijebuloaded(op): 1:42pm On Jan 31, 2017
“Let us educate the illiterate” Blackface blasts Tuface for planning to stage protest against Pres Buhari

It is so glaring that the verbal war between the Plantashun Boiz members is not ending anytime soon. Blackface, who has been feuding with his former bandmate, Tuface, is apparently not in support of the February 5th protest Tuface is heavily involved in.

Blackface, a father of two shared a post written by one Dr Bunmi Awoyemi who lambasted 2face, on his Instagram page and indicated he stands with the doctor.

“#NATIONWIDE#PROTESTS LETS EDUCATE THE ILLITERATE AS HE LEADS THE PROTEST. I read Tuface Idibia’s verbal tirade in Vanguard in which he said he will be leading a protest against Buhari on the 5th of February for among other things not paying salaries of civil servants. I think he needs to be educated about the efforts of the Buhari administration: So far Buhari has released three bail out funds to the 36 states in Nigeria totalling over N1.5 trillion in the last 18 months. Apart from this another trillion was released as Paris Club refund money to the 36 states. Buhari emphasized the need for the states to prioritize the payment of salaries of workers and pensions of pensioners as these states receive the money.

Unfortunately, instead of some states to use the funds to pay off civil servants and pensioners salary and pension arrears they chose to loot the funds. A governor of one of the South South states siphoned N3b of the funds using his mistress as a front and now the mistress has run away with the funds.

Tuface Idibia you can now see why Nigerians are suspicious of the motive and source of the funds for the protest you want to embark on. Why didn’t you lead a protest against these governors who mismanaged the Buhari bail out funds and the Paris Club refund money? Why did you not protest against GEJ’s looting of N51 trillion naira and the Godswill Akpabio alleged looting of over N1 trillion naira from the Akwa Ibom state treasury for which he is being prosecuted by the EFCC?

Why didn’t you protest Akpabio’s alleged corrupting of a Supreme Court justice who is currently being tried for corrupt practices on the bench? Is it because you are a corruption apologist? Is it because you are the agent of corruption fighting back? Is it because you are part of desperate plot to poison the hearts and minds against a fantastically incorruptible President who fights the corrupt no matter whose ox is gored?

We your fans want to assure you that if you go ahead with this protest we will reevaluate our support for you and it may be downhill for you afterwards. Rethink your actions and reflect deeply. Dr. Bunmi Awoyemi Divinewealth #copied,” the post read.
