Hello Tracy, I don't have answers to your questions on the top of my head. But you can find answers to all those questions in the IRCC official website. As a novice, it would be wise if you get your answers directly from there. That way, you will hear from the horse's mouth. Moreover, in doing so, you'll come across more information that may be useful to your application. IRCC website has most of the information you will need in your application. tracy0803409: Good morning Family, please i need your responses please--

Please how do I go about that? My native language is Yoruba
My names are Christian names, I’m confused as to how I’ll write it in Yoruba |

A simple Google of WES would have given you the official website. Well, its wes .org. In your case, I advise that you request that your transcript should be sent to a company (maybe yours or anyone you can agree with). That way, you can pick it up from the company and use it for your applications. Cannymission: Good day guys,
Pls how do I request for my course by course academic transcript from WES? I did my WES ECA evaluation in 2019. And Yabatech wants me to be paying 28k for each transcript I send to all the schools I am applying to. NB - Yabatech doesn't give out student copies (as I was told). |

Congratulations! Carebeyondcure: Long Post Alert First Time Applicant in fact I have never entered a plane before. God is faithful and is always on time God stood by me and didn’t put me to shame when I started this Canada journey I didn’t even know I could do it because somebody told me Canada is a no go area so channeled my energy towards the U.K immediately I got admission there I was ready to apply for a visa but my dad insisted that Canada is the goal, not the U.K. I reluctantly applied to just one university (University of Windsor) Master of Management(HRM) I applied in February and in between I got a job offer that was very suitable for my career but they decided to bond me for 2 years I was willing to let go of traveling out to take the job offer and my father insisted that Canada is the goal I was hurt because I have gone through all the processes for the job but I had to leave it because of that I found nairaland but I have already applied to the university then I saw something like career progression then I was scared because I have B.Sc. in Insurance and I applied for HRM all in all I was granted admission on May 30. I also learned about the NSE route and that I have to take IELTS that’s when wahala started oo because right from day one my uncles have always told me that the exam is very hard so I have made up my mind to avoid it but at this point, there’s no going back I practiced by myself and wrote it. Through this platform, I met Spectro baba (lol) the first time I messaged him I was able to pay my tuition fee through his guidance something I’ve been trying to do for a month. I applied on August 31st I went for upfront medical since July I was intentional about it. The wait after getting my correspondence letter was very tiring I sent a lot of emails, ordered my GCMS notes yet to receive it though, and raised webforms but I calm down a bit after the MP I contacted told me congratulations I still waited for a week before I got my approval. The wait humbled me because I don’t even know who to beg I remembered sending mail and I used their creator to beg them. All in all, God did it NLP also helped me to pray and I attended reboot camp. The way I will dance in church tomorrow ehn in fact they will need to hold me. GLORY!!!!!

MEDICAL UPDATE
To those that may need the information, this is how I was able to do my medicals.
I got an update to do my medicals last week, so I travelled to Abuja from Port Harcourt to do at IOM. I was able to do the same day, in fact, I am in the process now. If you have an update to do your medical, this is the steps to follow for IOM Abuja.
1. Book any available appointment (available appointments are from January). 2. Print your medical request document, admission letter and any other documents needed to prove your point (beg) 3. Come early to IOM Abuja and pick a number for enquiry. 4. Once in, you'll have to prove to the person that you have 30 days. Personally, I showed them my scholarship letter and told them that if I deferred, I would lose everything. I also told them that I came all the way from Port Harcourt. By God's grace, they accepted to do immediately for me. *I noticed that those who came from far were given the opportunity to do immediately. 5. They may give you an appointment date or tell you to do immediately. Then you can proceed to pay. 6. Once you pay, there are hustlers outside that print the receipt for you at N500. Print and proceed with your exam.
Wish you all good luck. |

It is a part of your funds and you should include it in your POF. So in your POF, merge the scholarship letter and your bank statement. VonVictor: Please gurus in the house, I need help!!!!
I have been able to secure a supervisor at a university who has told me that my salary for a year would be 20k cad. When showing POF, should I mention this or should I apply like it's not a part of my funds?
Also can a sponsor like my uncle transfer the whole money and declare it with a gift deed? |

Since you say that you have reached the maximum number of deferral, then you have a few options: 1. Ask if you can start your program online whilst waiting for the outcome. 2. Keep emailing IRCC, informing them of the situation. 3. Just wait! Hello Tinakem, as at when I transited in Ethiopia, it was very active and safe. I don't think there's nothing to be worried about as you will not even leave the airport. Besides, the war is mainly in the Tigray region and not Addis Ababa. So you should be safe. Please don't. Think about the long term consequences. 1. Usually after admission (I can say with certainty for McGill University), your school must directly send a copy of your transcript and certificate to the University. How do you plan to forge that? 2. I know that in the future, he may think of applying for PR, please don't spoil your record. An agent that suggests so is not even to be trusted. It is obvious that his only concern is his money and not your brother's future. If I were you, I'd be afraid if such person is handling my application sef. Aissy: Good evening everyone So while me I am patiently waiting for my approval, my aunt wants to sponsor my brother to study in Canada too. But the agent she gave us said my brothers CGP of 3.09 is too low to get a master which I agree then I suggested he gets a PGD from all the information I have gathered on this page instead the agent said he should forge a certificate with a higher grade then use that apply which I strongly oppose to ooh. He said he has done it for plenty people that if my brother wants to go ahead with getting a PGD then he won’t do the visa application for him. Isn’t all this funny my people? |

Your best bet will be contacting professors that you wish to work with. If they like you, they'll schedule an interview with you. And if you do well, they'd tell you to apply to their school. @Benquip, the crisis is not false. There's a full blown war in Ethiopia. However, Addis Abbaba and the airport is safe, well, as at the last time I went. I transited at the Addis Ababa airport in July and it was safe and normal. I agree with @Jay316. You shouldn't have any issues transiting in Addis Ababa. Jay316: Aside that,Airports are always kept safe.Even in Afghanistan. Kabul airport is very safe till date. There is peace in Adis Ababa and its safer than Imo state as I speak |

Dear DrAFOguns, I have read your story and I am in the same situation with you. I also have a fully funded PhD offer in Canada. In fact, the funding is more than enough. I also had an additional 15k personal bank statement. But my visa was rejected. I applied while I was in the UK for my master's degree, but due to the typical IRCC delay, they reviewed my application 3 months later when I had left the UK (so my residency status in UK had expired). Your issue, like mine, is majorly due to you residency. If you will reapply in China, make sure that you renew your Chinese residency first! If your time left in a country is limited, they usually see it as a red flag. My re-application process led me here and I have heard from people that had a similar situation and got their visa upon reapplying. So I believe that if you tackle the concerns raised, you would most likely be given. Just make sure you leave no stone unturned this time around. Finance is one of the major reasons for rejection, and with your full scholarship, what you have left to prove is your motivation, home ties and the fact that you will leave Canada after your program. I wish you the best in your application. DrAFOguns: Thank you, Akannitommy. I have sent you an email. |

In my own opinion, it is always satisfying to be truthful. You actually don't have any gap as you said that you were doing your make-up business. That in itself is enough. Besides, I don't think you owe anyone an explanation on the choice you make in your life especially when it does not concern your official visa requirements. So your employment status should not be a problem as it is your choice to be self-employed. I have seen the testimony of many self-employed and even unemployed people here, so I don't think it is an issue. Don't just do anything that will make your application look suspicious. Stellagabu: Good afternoon everyone ,
Please I resigned last year December basically because the company had so many issues, however I have been doing my makeup business (registered) and enrolled for my Sphri classes in March (meaning I haven’t been idol )
now here is the question,I am trying to apply for a study visa (Post graduate certificate HR Management 2 years ) and I am worried my employment status might be a problem .
My boss is willing to give me payslip if I choose to say I am still employed but of cos the salary payment won’t reflect in my account . So I am guessing this might be a problem
Please I want to know how to close up this gap in my SOP.
Should I simply state I am still working with my offer letter and all and not provide payslip ?
Or
Should I state I am on study leave for 2 years which started January 2021 in other to conclude my masters in Nigeria and Then decided to go to the uk initial by September but changed my mind to go for PGC course in Canada since my leave period isn’t over .
(Truly I just concluded my masters in Nigeria and my certificate is stating February 2021 . Also ,I got 3 admissions for uk for Sept 2021 and just decided to try Canada )
Please I don’t want to complicate my application Someone please help me . |

2. My sponsor is having an account balance which could not cover my tuition, accommodation and travel but he said by tomorrow, the money would be available. Hope there won't be any issue of lump fund?

Thank you so much for your advice. I have taken note of them DestinationCann: In whatever you do, don't convert your foreign currency to naira please..
Proof of asset? Did you mention in your SOP that you have landed properties? If you did, you'll need to show documents.
You can do a deed of gift to yourself on the jointly owned property (taking into consideration how your siblings will react).
If your siblings are in Nigeria, use them as home ties. Also, find a way to mention that the course will let you return to Nigeria to improve the economy. |

Hello everyone, please I need your advice. My study permit app was rejected last month and I just received my GCMS note today and I need advice. 1. They need me to provide proof of assets. I don't have any personal land but I have one that is co-owned with my sibling which was inherited. The docs are not in my name but my dad's. The land doesn't have C of O but it has a deed of conveyance. Will the deed be sufficient proof in place of the CofO?
2. Home ties: All my funds are in a foreign account because I had been living overseas for the past 2 years. My naira account is almost empty and I don't want to convert my foreign currency to naira because of devaluation. I used the foreign account as proof of funds in my previous application and there was no complaint about it on my GCMS note. However, someone advised that since I am reapplying in 9ja, the overseas proof of funds may not go well. What can you advise?
3. Travel history: I have travelled to 2 countries, still they complained about travel history. I don't know why. Could it be because I did not initially submit a police certificate for them? Will submitting now suffice?
I look forward to your ideas.
Regards, |

Thanks @Coleadeyemi. Truly there is a lot of loop holes. I was naive in my application.. I will contact them. Thanks Coleadeyemi: author=Ikechi12 post=104973217]Hello, I need advice, please. I am going for a PhD and did my MSc in the UK. While in the UK, I applied for my study permit before returning to Nigeria. However, when my eligibility started, my resident permit in the UK had already expired. They then requested for a whole lot of documents - proof of funds, reference letter from school, etc. Today, I received a rejection and I am confused as to the reason. However, I want to reapply and so I need advice. Here are a couple of things to note. 1. I have a scholarship of 25kCAD per year (My school fee is about 19k/year) and a one-time scholarship of 10KCAD for the first year. I also have the opportunity to apply for a teaching assistantship in the remaining years. 2. I have a personal bank statement of 10k euros (about 15k CAD) in my Italian bank account. 3. I left the UK after my resident permit had expired. This was because I was granted an exceptional assurance (EA) to stay for an extra month due to covid and was given the opportunity to reapply. I reapplied but their reply came only when the previous exceptional assurance had expired. According to UK rules, you are not deemed illegal when you have a pending EA application. So when the rejection came I was given 14 days to leave the UK and so I left in 10 days. So legally, I was never an overstayer in the UK. 4. I didn't sit for IELTS because my school didn't need it for my application. I sat for it in 2019 but it has expired. In fact, I am only hearing it on this forum as it is not a thing when applying from the UK.
I will need advise from experts on how to proceed. How can I prove that I will return?
Thanks
Judging from your profile there are so many loop holes, I'm not a guru o, but the vo isn't just convinced because nothing ties you to UK or Nigeria. I will advise you contact the gurus personally I will suggest Frankrobn1 or bollybeejay bollybeejay worked on my application and he's very good. You can await the response of other gurus. You need to work with your gcms notes too so that's the first step |
