The foundation is very important! For long lasting and fulfilling relationships, I believe the God-kind of Love & the Wisdom of God(through the Holy Spirit) is what is required and ONLY those who Believe in God & His Son - Jesus, have the opportunity to utilise these. Believers who are struggling in their relationships are probably not utilising what they already possess. Ephesians1:3 |

@ Poster: Whats the purpose of this topic? To achieve what end, ?? |
Its because he did transactions in foreign countries(which don't tolerate such), that's why he was caught & his properties seized;another example is Ibori. If all the looting was Nigerian based, NOTHING would have happened; especially under this current toothless EFCC leadership & Government regime in power. EFCC's power in Nigeria is based on the Determination of the President to fight corruption. |
@ Poster: Let me define Marriage for you: Marriage is an Honoourable Covenant Union between a Man & a Woman, in which both become ONE in purpose, recognised by God & the Law of the land;which is consummated by sexual intercourse & Governed by Love. From the Definition Above note the features: Marriage is Honourable (Hebrews 13:4a); in other words, its precious to God. Marriage is a Covenant(Genesis 2:24); its therefore not to be taken lightly. Its between a Man & a Woman - Man & Woman here means, mature adults, who have also become spiritually mature, who have learnt about marriage thru' God's Word & who have by themselves consented to become ONE in purpose(Genesis 2:15 & 18). Even though maturity is mainly of the mind, I believe you are still too young for it. Your Focus now should be on adding to your education, acquiring more knowledge(in areas of interest & importantly - Marriage), discovering God's plan/vision for your life(by fellowshiping with the HolySpirit,if u r a christian) & also believing God concerning the Man with whom you are to Help fulfill purpose & destiny - Genesis 2:18 I can be reached @: oshoma1@gmail.com for more info |
@kennyisaac & hbabe: Don't mind those who are talking ignorantly, you guys are right on point!!! Don't forget the Bible says , "people perish for lack of knowledge"(Hosea 4:6) If these ignorant critics (no apologies) knew better, they would do better and talk better. "The just shall live by his OWN faith"; not according to how people think he should live. Enjoy God & His Blessings that make Rich & adds no sorrow with it! CHEERS, |
Pls how do I convert a Jpeg file to PDF?? |
@Dorox & Mummy3 Don't confuse praying in the name of Jesus & praying in tongues, they don't conflict. Praying in tongues takes us beyond our understanding to the realm of the spiritual - were there's no limit. Hence, when we pray in the spirit, we are praying the mind of God concerning any matter. All our prayers in our understanding are & shld be done in the Name of Jesus; it means we are going to God thru' Jesus, & we can expect a positive result because God sees us In Him (Jesus). |
@Poster: You dont have to be confused, if you are using your head(flesh) to understand spiritual things, you'd definitely not get answers. Let the HolySpirit guide you while you are studying the Bible, and revelation would definitely come from Him via your inner man(your renewed spirit). Medidate on 1 Corinthians 14:2 & 4 & 14a. When a believer prays/speaks in tongues, he's first of all communicating with God (the Father of Spirits) & also edifying himself. Were there's interpretation of the tongues, its for the benefit of the church; otherwise, its for the individual.Check out 1 Cor.14:5. Cheers @Mr Bible: Be careful how you talk and use words(especially if u r a born-again christian). @Joagbaje: My man, long time; haven't been seeing your comments till recently. Keep up the good work; we pray that soon confused minds would be made clear, to understand things spiritual truths. |
@ Justwise Whether you like it or not,its the Bible we Christians live by, so it needs to be quoted & most importantly ACTED UPON. No one is trying earn your respect, we strive for spiritual maturity & would never achieve it(but can make considerable progress) till we leave this earth(& flesh). I'm convinced that God is happy watching His son(Bishop Oyedepo) doing the works that Jesus did & manifesting God's Blessings on the earth same as Jesus did. @Chuckdee4: U complained about the emergency exit being blocked, they are usually up to four(4) exits in an aircraft; Blocking that one leaves three other exits in a "private jet", stop looking for what to criticize & thank God for his life. |
All those saying that he used the church offering to purchase the jet, where you there? Do you know what transpired before it was purchased? And if you are a born-again christian joining in what I'd call "meaningingless" & "ignorant" criticism, better ask God for forgiveness & desire the manifestations of "God's Blessings that make rich" (Prov.10:22). The Bible, which we christians live by, talks (Matthew 7:1-5 - Pls check Message's translation too) about judging others & its consequences; also in Romans 14:4, it says, "who are you to critize someone else's servant?" So christians, be very careful what you say in such matters as this. For unbelievers, its ok for them to talk the way they do because a carnal man cannot understand spiritual things, besides they don't have the ability to comprehend, since they walk only by sight! Its important to know that Bishop Oyedepo is operating the law of seedtime & harvest; persons that are criticizing, do you know the type of seeds he's been sowing previously?? Also, the fact that people are hungry around you shouldn't prevent you from eating & eating well. Before we were born, there were poor (& sick) people, after we are gone they will still be there, no matter our efforts. Most people who criticize ignorantly, do so out of the frustrations of their present circumstances(poverty, lack, etc). Believe God for more than enough & tap in to the law of seedtime & harvest (i.e. sowing & reaping) & watch the manifestations thereof. Also, whats wrong with people giving for the benefit of their pastors? Its stated in Galatians 6:6 & 1 Cor.9:11-14. See Genesis 8:22,Galatians 6:7-9, Luke 6:38, 2Cor.9:6-8. Lets meet @ the Summit - thats were God wants us to be!! |
@Poster, ogugua88 & Others: This Topic is quite unusual & funny, I can't believe some persons on this thread are talking about feeling bad killing a chicken, rat etc. But you guys eat chicken abi? Did you eat it while it was alive? Since you feel somehow killing chicken, you should feel somehow eating a chicken killed by someone else. Animals don't have any covenant with God, we do! And we haven't been given any restriction on what animal to eat or not, except for health reasons or personal conviction. While growing up, my mum usually bought day-old chicks(broilers), which we(the children) usually fed till they were mature. In a sense, you could say i had a relationship with different generations of chickens. Personally, I can't count how many chickens have been killed or murdered (lol) by me. And as others said, killing chicken or not doesn't make you a man! Being a man entails handling responsibility, etc. |
@ Doja @ Hamid: Nice One, i'm glad people here appreciate straight forward & sincere leaders. Ribadu is the MAN! |
I can't believe what some posters are saying that "he would be more useful in his country". Were u not all around when Ribadu had to go into self exile because of threats to his life during Yar'adua's (sorry Ibori's) tenure?? Why was he removed, initially demoted & embarrassed?? In case some of you haven't realized, ANYTHING u do on this earth, whether good or bad, is a SEED that would be harvested in your future. Ribadu is reaping from the SEEDs sowed while he was at the helm in EFCC. I'm not saying he (his Oga) was right in all his activities & decisions while he was EFCC chairman. No one (in the flesh) is perfect, but we can all remember that EFCC was highly effective(and greatly feared) under his leadership as against the present chairman's tenure who allows criminals (in d guise of politicians) to roam freely or escape to a foreign jail (Ibori)! Since, he wasn't appreciated in Nigeria, his services are now needed by others, e.g. the UN. Even though I wasn't in agreement with his presidential ambition (being too immature in politics), he's still my MAN. Congrats to Him and all the Best. I like people like him who aren't afraid to rock d "stagnant boat" because they are convinced and committed to doing the right thing. Mrs Okonjo-Iweala, Ngozi Ezekwesili, Mallam El-Rufai & Prof. Dora Akinyuli are other examples of people who like to rock the boat in the right direction. |
Dont be bothered by what all these thieves in agbada or suit, just read Psalm 37:1-25 & see what eventually happens to them. What u sow, u must reap, thats how this earth operates (Genesis 8:22 & 2 Cor.9:6). |
For me, had a full day. In the morning, was with a gathering my church members; we gathered to pray for Nigeria. In the afternoon, had a picnic with a group of other youths @ the millennium park, then in d evening, had a leaders' meeting with my Pastor to prepare for the last quarter of d year. Lovely, interesting & busy day. |
@ajoguegbe Please have u forgotten 2 Cor.4:4; its needless trading words with those who speak against the knowledge of your heavenly Father. Just sow the seed of God's Word & ignore their arguments. We only pray that they receive Jesus as their Lord & importantly, come to the knowledge of the truth!! |
The fact is even if he's been saved, if his mind is not constantly been renewed by God's Word(Romans 12:2) so as to allow the love of God(Rom.5:5 & I Cor.13:4- in his Heart(renewed spirit man) dominate him(his flesh), his actions would almost be similar to that of an unbeliever. |
For a believer, its not negotiable, As for sampling, is that what the bible says?? Why should someone be stealing from what is already yours?? If you are going to argue, then its either u need to be saved or u need to get your mind renewed with the Word of God!!! |
@ Flamz U r there, i've used Norton - (the worst), AVG Avast( the free one though), & now ESET NOD 32. It's really been gr8, & another good thing mine is a business edition that is licensed for many years!! |
There's no such thing as losing salvation. Simply put, the summary of what I said is: if by confessing with your mouth & believing in your heart that Jesus is Lord you r saved, you would have to denounce Jesus from your heart to be become an unbeliever - and hence have d Devil as a father. Doesn't mean you "lost salvation." Its all about believing. As someone wrote above, check out Hebrews 6:4-6. These things shouldn't bother you as a believer; just study the Word more and as you do, always ask for Wisdom & revelation in the Knowledge of God. If you happen to meet anyone who says he was once a christian, and claims to be no longer one, all he has to do is rededicate his life back to God as in Rom.10:9-10. The Word of God is Our Guide as believers!! Cheers, |
U guys are just meddling with semantics & grammar; don't complicate what you already know. Salvation is not a process of being saved - when you accept, acknowledge & confess Jesus as your Lord & personal Saviour & believe that God raised Him from the dead, you are saved, just like that. God then declares you righteous (Rom. 10:9-10; 3:24-25) & all the promises made to Abraham & his descendants become yours - divine health, prosperity, long life, constant victory, etc I don't understand what you mean by "losing salvation". If it was thru belief in the Lordship of Jesus u were saved, so also your denouncing of the Lordship of Jesus by either words or action will mean u've left God's protective cover & could be in danger of satan's weapons & ultimately hell if there's no repentance before Jesus comes/when your body perishes. That's what called backsliding Pray for wisdom & revelation in the knowledge of God - Eph1:17-23. |
If as you said, u already have a personal relationship with God, that means you believe that Jesus has already paid the sacrifice for our sins & you've been declared righteous. Now to live a victorious Christian life, you need God's Word daily(study, hearing & putting it to use - James 1:22-25); I want to assume you study your bible (1 Peter 2:1), if u don't, u need to. But to guide you studying God's Word & know many sides of Him, you need to attend & belong to a Bible Believing & Faith based Church, were God's Word is taught UNDILUTED by Seasoned Men of God who have trained themselves unto godliness (1 Timothy 4:8,15); men of God upon whom the anointing that makes the teaching, preaching & understanding of God's Word easy. Besides you need the assembly of the brethren (Hebrews 10:25) I would recommend one of the following, depending on were u reside: - Summit Bible Church - Garki, Abuja. thesummitbc.org - Dunamis - Area 1, Abuja - The Baptizing Church - Garki, Abuja & Lagos - House on the Rock, the Refuge - Lagos & Abuja - Covenant Word Christian Centre - Jos There are many others (outside the above) which u can attend, but make sure its Bible Believing & Faith Based Church. By the time u start, you would discover u had been missing alot. Cheers Brother, as I look forward to hearing good news from you & the new things you will get to know. |
Believing there's God is a small thing, but it can be taken further by asking: "Do believe that Jesus was sent to redeem mankind from eternal death"? or put another way: "Do you believe that God sent His Son Jesus to save humanity, & that to be set free all you have to do is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Jesus is the ONLY Way; no one can come to God except through Jesus(Jn.14:6), thats just it!!! Whether you believe it or not. I pray that Atheists come to know God through Jesus, as well as come to the knowledge of His Word. END of MATTER!! |
Its pretty obvious that the BBC & CNN and other foreign media derive satisfaction by showing the negative aspects of Nigeria and other African countries as if they too don't have such. We should ignore them & counter them by displaying regularly the positive sides of our people and nation, while correcting/improving the negative aspects. If we want to revenge (though the foreigners aren't worth it), we can decide to display their negative sides to the world; that is a Big "IF". |
For those who claim born-again spirit filled christians & are reacting to the post by bashing Pastor Chris, do you know what you are doing? First & foremost, I'm not a member of CEC, but I listen to Pastor Chris every now & then, he's what I'd call a good teacher of the Word. The fact that some members take things out of proportion doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the message he delivers & who he is. Its quite unfortunate & I make bold to say it: there's nothing new under the heavens - various vices occurred in the early churches (e.g.Corinthian church) & Apostle Paul scolded them for such (See 1 Cor.11:17-22, 1 Cor. 5 & 6, 2 Thess.3:10-15 etc) Those who have knowledge of God's Word shouldn't be surprised at these events, because they have been spoken of in the Word & d devil would use any means possible to try to discredit God, His Word & His Body (the Church). (2 Timothy 3). If those who participated in the fraud confess to God, He's faithful & just to forgive them & remembers their sins no more; they would then be restored to right standing with God (1Jn1:9, Isaiah 43:25). What they need to do is to look unto God as their SOURCE & put their flesh (& its desires) in subjection to their renewed spirits. |
Who said it was ever easier? Marrying a woman who is a virgin is a good thing, but that isn't d main thing; ur focus should also be on her right standing with God, her character, is she the helpmate comparable to u? (Genesis 2:18), etc, |
As said by some, not all cheat. Really, the ones who don't cheat are those who have decided to put their flesh under (in subjection to) their renewed or born-again spirit); that's why men that are born again children of God can't cheat on their wives, WHEN they truly put their flesh (human nature) under the control of their renewed spirit. But unfortunately, some give in to the desires of their flesh (human nature). It is Well |
This goes to show the need for a more greater focus on the Educational Sector, its very shameful!! |
He's simply overrated! its nigerian sycophants that overrate him & make him look very good. Can u compare Mikel now & Kanu in his younger days ![]() |
Yes, Lets know you, what you stand for, etc before we give such information |
in his Heart(renewed spirit man) dominate him(his flesh), his actions would almost be similar to that of an unbeliever.
