SportsRe: Amodu Sacked, Foreign Technical Adviser To Be Appointed by Ikhilor(m): 9:49am On Feb 08, 2010
Back to discussing soccer.
To those of you who think that we are expecting a white wizard to come and do magic, I will say that you are wrong. All we want is good football
that translate to victories and a descent outing at the world cup and subsequently have him build the Super Eagles to an enviable status like 1994. Surely that will require time to do, but that is also where we hoped that NFF's Sanni Lulu should have sunk with Amodu

Oh you are ready to give a white wizard all the time in the world but not ready to give a fellow Nigerian the same treatment, hmm.
This can be classified as unbelievable attitude from some black people, why should you not stand for any white witch doctor(mercenary) winning us the wc but you and your likes refuse to give Amodu same treatment, even if he deserves it,acting like chameleons won,t take us anywhere. We await that mercenary who,s coming to win the wc because apparently, that,s the reason they sacked Amodu, they want someone who,ll at least get to the semi finals of the wc,we are waiting. The amount of tribalism and injustices committed  will one day finally put the nails in the coffin called Nigeria.

SportsRe: Amodu Blasts His Critics by Ikhilor(m): 10:51am On Feb 07, 2010
This scenario is regrettable, how will any serious person take Nigeria(NFF) for their word when they,ve gone against their pledge on numerous occasions? Shuaibu Amodu has done his best in the circumstances he found himself,if other public officers do as much as he(Amodu) has done ,the entire country will look different from what we see today.
This is an ungrateful, highly tribalistic, inferiority complex laden people running our football, we must put the African attitude of never say die back into all we do as Black people hence, we,ll be worse off than we are today in the not too distant future. What sensible minds do is give Amodu the chance to learn on his trade with an opportunity at the WC, that,s what most other peoples do, why are we different? We want already made even if we did little or nothing to attain it,we should be wary of fire brigade approach to life and endeavour to be patient some times. Now that one of us that whose right it is to be at the WC has been robbed in broad daylight(for the second time),let,s see who they,re bringing in to help us win the WC. BLACK PEOPLE MUST BELIEVE IN THEIR ABILITIES because no one else will when we don,t have faith in our own abilities.

Tunku, you,re right. These self hating myopic ,inferiority laden Black people will continue to act and think low.
SportsRe: .:. Louis Van Gaal Is New Super Eagles Coach .:. by Ikhilor(m): 12:13pm On Feb 06, 2010
These are nothing but the symptoms of confused, self hating, wayward, inferior thinking bunch of administrators.Let the so- called world class coach come and perform miracles in 4 months. This is going to end up as will always be expected of self hating, myopic thinking humans.Nigerians, if you expect miracles from now on,you,.re on your own.We are going to the W.C to make up numbers
SportsRe: Amodu Sacked, Foreign Technical Adviser To Be Appointed by Ikhilor(m): 11:41am On Feb 06, 2010
CALM DOWN! Amodu was paid for his services. Can you remember how many coaches Brazil had before 2002 WC they won. We should be comparing ourselves with Brazil not some country with the population of Lagos. We need to harness the abundant talents in the country and we need to perform in this WC. The problem is the time waisting. The Tech Committee has till the end of this month.
I,m  not happy with this development for different reasons, first being that, it only confirmed the black man as having no belief in his capabilities,a great injustice has occurred under our noses again, the need for gradual development of local coaches has been once more thrown into the dust bin.If we refuse to learn from our mistakes, how on earth are we going to learn and improve with time?
I disagree that we should be comparing ourselves with Brazil, because in Brazil, the football federation is not run like this, they,ve not to my knowledge sacked a coach 4 months to the WC before, maybe  I,m mistaken though.I agree we have to harness the abundant talents that abound in our country but we should forget about performing any miracle in the WC."The tech committee has till the end of the month" what a travesty, that means by then it,ll be a mere 3 months to the WC and you still expect a "white mercenary" coach to perform miracles?
SportsRe: Amodu Sacked, Foreign Technical Adviser To Be Appointed by Ikhilor(m): 10:49am On Feb 06, 2010
This is the height of madness, this is surely going to backfire, three months to the WC! Now all those never do well,s that have conspired to make life unbearable for Amodu can now go give thanksgiving in their various churches and mosques, their negative dreams have been answered,we,ll see what happen,s from here.Sad day for Africa and her people, sad that an African is once again robbed in broad daylight and someone else that had nothing to do with the cooked food given the whole food to eat. This is only confirming that a lot of Africans will never grow out of their self hate, inferiority complex and blatant injustice, the stage is now set for failure because you don,t need be a rocket scientist to know that no magician can help a team four months to the WC.
What an ungrateful nation, with this, a lot of people will rather sit by the side and watch this wicked contraption called Nigeria die than stick out their neck for her to live. The Gods are angry and hopefully we,ll survive their fury. This is the second time, even if they said thunder does,nt strike in the same place twice, in Nigeria that has been made possible, unbelievable but true.
Amodu has to go home knowing that he has an army of supporters, those that saw in him a coach that  had his  limitations (which could have been worked on) but was good enough to qualify an ungrateful nation twice and that for the same number of times has been robbed, cheated, insulted, raped, disillusioned.  This is not dying down any time soon,Nigeria is going to the WC as seriously troubled, no amount of miracles will help them this time, because those that are behind this will not let there be peace in the team. angry angry angry angry angry angry
CultureRe: Edo Colonized Yorubaland Not Vice Versa. by Ikhilor(m): 10:09am On Feb 05, 2010
Benin "oral" traditions are astonishing in their level of detail and accuracy. They can provide exact dates for events that occur two thousand years ago; as far as I know, only the Ijaw can beat that and their version of history is the same as the Benin one (Ijaws gave birth to the bulk of practically all Southern Nigerian populations).

Both the bight of Benin and Benin republic were named after Benin kingdom (which extended as far as Ghana and Togo (the Eyadema's are Edo) to the West and Gabon to the East). Even the name, Dahomey is derived from the name of the Edo general that conquered the place; his name was Isidahomen and you can still find his offspring, bearing the same name among the Esans today.

Yes, the Edo ruled over huge swathes of Yoruba land and founded Lagos as a military outpost to guard the Western seas up to Ghana.
When the British came, the only kingdom in the South that they considered threathening was the Benin Kingdom. So while they were diplomatic to others, they set about military treaties first and then military campaigns against the Edo; these included Lagos wars concerning madam Tinubu etc and culminated in the punitive expedition (after a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Edo). The punitive expedtion saw Benin razed to the ground and all valuables taken away to Europe, the oba (Overhamwen) was exiled and Benins power was totally decimated, allowing the British to complete the conquest of Southern Nigeria.

If you are a Southern Nigerian that wants an education in history, go the the Edo's and Ijaw's first, then go to your own custodians. You will be enriched.
There are a lot of us who are totally lost and blind to the history of our people. There,s no need for name calling and all that, we should be calm and go seek infos on our ancient history, thanks for pouring more light on the topic.

CultureRe: Edo Colonized Yorubaland Not Vice Versa. by Ikhilor(m): 8:21pm On Feb 04, 2010
Dahomey is an abbreviation of Isidahomey from the Esan speaking tribe of Benin empire. He was actually a war general who was sent by the Oba of the day to conquer new territories and was the founder of both today,s Benin republic and Togo. This same general Isidahomey even went as far as some parts of today,s Ghana. As already attested to here, the Benin Empire also founded a camp(Eko) (till date, it,s called so in Benin) on the way for rest, that later grew to be known as Lagos. There are infos on the origins of Lagos, Togo, Benin (Dahomey. Sources had it that the late president Eyadema even came to pay homage to the Oba of Benin and was subsequently taken to Esan land to the compound of general Isidahomey the original founder of both today,s Benin and Togo. The Benin Empire spanned the river Niger through Ondo state and a large part of western Nigeria all the way to Togo and some parts of Ghana. This empire did a lot in it,s heyday, even if she,s lying idle today because of an African supported conquest by the criminal British, cry cryindeed it,s the heartbeat of the nation.

Yes go on and play to the gallery, a lot of people still have faith in Amodu.See the energy and passion some exercise here in condemning Amodu whereas they can,t say a thing about the politicians turning the country upside down, what stop,s us from using this same amount of energy to fight for our rights in this country? Amodu has served this country better than these set,s of politicians. Amodu should take the team to the world cup, No coach can perform wonders in four months, try sacking if you have a contrary view.It happened before and something tell,s me it,ll happen again, ungrateful country, and highly tribalistic too. angry angry angry

All of you ranting here should go get a life.In as much as I admire Osaze as a player, his actions of late call,s for worry.Does he want Amodu to come help him score goals? He was selfish in the game against Ghana and could be pencilled as one of those that cost us the game, because he was shooting aimlessly, it,s better he keep,s quite because we are not stupid. Amodu even made him captain in that game and, he was subsequently removed because it was apparent he was not in the game and was wasting balls. In fact, he has to apologise to Amodu and his team mates for this behaviour, it,s totally uncalled for. embarassed

The results obtained in the past two years put us there. Those who still think FIFA is wrong should go do something else,we are talking football here.Shuaibu Amodu may not be the most charismatic of coaches, he sure know,s what he,s doing. He beat France in at home with a team of mostly young players, that,s what we should advice him to do now, not throwing the baby with the bathwater.Nigerians, appreciate what you have and if need be, upgrade it/him. Amodu has already stated he,s open to working with other Nigerians to build a solid team,we already have local coaches with enough experience to add to that of Amodu, and the sky will be the limit.NO to FOREIGN MERCENARIES ON OUR SHORES

SportsRe: I Support Amodu For South Africa: No To Any Foreign Dummy by Ikhilor(m): 4:37pm On Feb 03, 2010
Some are quick to diss Amodu but FIFA has their current list out and Nigeria is the 15th best in the world, second best in Africa, according to accumulated results.Maybe FIFA see what we,re not. All Amodu need,s right now is support from everyone and some young players to complement the fit experienced ones.Throwing the baby away with the bath water is not the solution. H e already called for local technical support, what else do Nigerians want from this patriot? Let him be.

I hope some will not start to insinuate we gave FIFA bribe? This is the accumulation of results and that means Amodu is not as bad as some hypocrites will want us believe, let that man be,else, karma will fall again and before we know it we,ll be back to square one.

SportsRe: Nations Cup Final: Ghana Vs. Egypt [0 - 1] by Ikhilor(m): 10:10am On Feb 01, 2010
This topic brings me back to an experience similar to the view that Ghanians love to see Nigeria loose in football and bad mouth Nigerians whenever they have the slightest of opportunity. When the final of the under 20;s was being played last year, a lot of Nigerians viewing in a Nigerian bar we,re praying that Ghana win,s against Brazil and were overjoyed when they eventually won.Fast track to the under 17 competition and I witnessed Ghanaians jumping for joy when Nigeria was loosing a particular match against a European opposition, and, other viewers present (Europeans) were indeed shocked to see Africans(Ghanians) happy another European team was winning against an African team.Since then I,ve come to take Ghanaians for what they portray themselves to be i.e hypocrites, jealous, inferiority complex clad, back stabbers. They also are very ready and willing to bad mouth us (wherever and whenever the chance arises) to Europeans and every other person that cares to listen. I still supported Ghana against Egypt though, because I wanted the Egyptian  momentum broken, even though they were equally  joyful when Egypt won the first game against us. With what I now know of these Ghanians, I take them very serious. They can never be trusted to watch your back. sad sad sad

PoliticsRe: London Court Freezes Akingbola‘s £83m Properties by Ikhilor(m): 9:13am On Jan 29, 2010
The federal Govt should seek ways to sell those properties and the proceeds repatriated to  help pay back the depositors of the banks who,ve lost a lot of money. The Nigerian Govt must do this, as, not acting  will open the way for the criminal British establishment to sit on these funds "as has always been the case"  and confiscate it.This money can be repatriated and put to good use here in Nigeria and should not be left to the supporters of looting, stealing, thievery on the African continent. This is indeed sick. At a time when other people are seeking ways to raise their countries and people, some in Nigeria are busy digging deep into thievery and madness all with the support of the established supporters of crime and thievery in Africa (UK,EUROPE,USA).
They already knew these monies we,re stolen , but still went ahead and let it into their country, this tell,s us how hypo critic and wicked these Europeans can be.The money should be repatriated with immediate effect. angry
HealthRe: Evil Nurses & Doctors In Nigerian Public Hospitals by Ikhilor(m): 2:10pm On Jan 28, 2010
This topic resonates personally with me.Once I took my father "of blessed memory" to the hospital "A federal  university teaching hospital at that"  to check on his aching tooth.I dropped him off to go buy something in town.On coming back there were tales of some uncouth graduating medics pinning him down and forcing the tooth out, even when he was shouting.I was so furious, but even then, all of them have dispersed.I felt guilty for leaving him alone, but I never expected such a situation whereby a patient is forced and manhandled just because of treatment. I think Nigerians must start to take some of these irresponsible medical  practitioners to court to serve as deterrent angry
