I have taken time to read some comments on this thread and cannot help but laugh at the ignorance of some people. Most of the people have not taken time to read the criminal code and terrorism prevention act of Nigeria and will rush to the comment section to expose their ignorance. By the time the judge will ask the prosecuting counsel to tender evidence of his broadcast from the range of years mentioned, the case will linger for 5years unless there's an expeditious hearing on this case.

This lawyer is happiest person to see that MNK was brought back to Nigeria. I am yet to see him handle any other case that is not IPOB. He will use this opportunity to collect his balance IPOB refused to pay since Nnamdi Kanu ran away. |
The Federal Government has filed an amended seven-count charge against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, before a Federal high court in Abuja.https://dailytrust.com/breaking-fg-files-fresh-charges-against-nnamdi-kanu

Ijele, you don't need to reply those idiots that question your source of information. IPOB doesn't have secret and they lack organization. That is why they are in disarray. Most of these videos are on Twitter, Facebook and whatapp group. They are not difficult to find if one has interest in them. Please continue to torment IPOB members and what they represent. You have been consistent in liberating the minds of igbos against hydra-headed cancer called IPOB and God almighty will guide and protect you. Keep it up. OyigboUpdate: |
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has ruled out the possibility of engaging the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the Eastern Security Network, ESN ahead of the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State.http://saharareporters.com/2021/10/14/anambra-poll-nigeria%E2%80%99s-electoral-body-inec-rules-out-dialogue-ipob-esn

ANALYSIS/OPINION: An African terrorist organization is suing U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in U.S. federal court. It beggars belief. So how did it happen? The answer is frustratingly simple. The violent secessionist group in question – the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) – is yet to be designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) by the US Department of State. This is despite repeated pleas to do so by longstanding U.S. ally Nigeria, where IPOB is based and carries out its murderous activities. It is difficult to explain how U.S. interests are served by inaction and complacency on IPOB. The listing costs nothing. But the designation would have significant implications for the group’s continuance. Let’s start with the obvious: Tagging the group with a terror label would hit IPOB’s wallet hard. As soon as the designation is applied, no organization that utilizes U.S. currency would be able to legally conduct transactions with the organization. By cutting off IPOB’s funding, the U.S. would weaken the 50,000 strong paramilitary outfit and provide Nigeria’s security forces room to train their sights squarely on ISIS-affiliated Boko Haram in the Northeast of the country. Counterterrorism operations against Boko Haram have long been assisted by U.S. agencies working in close coordination with the West African government. Though IPOB may appear to be Abuja’s problem alone, the militants have served as a distraction and bled precious resources. Over the past eighteen months, Boko Haram has regrettably been able to regroup and rejuvenate. The same is true of Al Qaeda-affiliated groups across the volatile Sahel region. That the African continent is rapidly becoming a staging ground for global terror operations should concern U.S. officials. But Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB’s leader, is clearly unconcerned. That he feels no need to even disguise his support of terrorism is worrisome. Though IPOB’s principal aim is to restore a breakaway state of Biafra in the Southeastern parts of Nigeria, Mr. Kanu’s rhetoric has become increasingly strident. “I don’t want peaceful actualization (of Biafra),” Mr. Kanu has said through his Radio Biafra channel, used to project threats, instructions, and propaganda into Nigeria from the safety of London. “If they don’t (give us Biafra), they will die.” Neither does Mr. Kanu make idle threats. The December revelation of IPOB’s 50,000 strong-armed paramilitary wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), complete with a Swastika-style flag, marked the end to all pretenses of being a peaceful movement. What had been largely unspoken was publicly declared. Since then, violent IPOB attacks on both security personnel and civilians have surged by a terrifying 59%; deaths by 344%. More than 20 attacks were carried out in the first three months of this year alone, including the retribution-style bombing of a local state governor’s home where four were killed, and an attack on a prison that freed some 2,000 dangerous criminals. Even neighboring states were forced to impose curfews to protect their citizens from marauders. There is also a nasty racial element to the IPOB attacks. In addition to attacks on the state, much of their violence is directed towards the Fulani people, a nomadic tribe of herders that roam across West Africa. Through Biafra Radio, IPOB regularly calls on its supporters to not only kill the Fulani, but to kill “any landlord that gives accommodation or rents his house or her house to a Fulani person.” In one recent attack on a Fulani community, six young children were butchered with machetes – one, a baby, was burned alive. Their bodies were discarded in mass graves. Whether with threats made on Biafra Radio or repeated acts of violence, IPOB coerces politicians and civilians to acquiesce to its radical political demands. One example saw all the governors of Southeast Nigeria bow to a 14-day ultimatum to ban open grazing in their districts – a move targeting the livelihoods of the Fulani – rather than face the wrath of the ESN. Similarly, it enforces a sit-at-home day every Monday, intended to economically cripple the region, through acts like the torching of passenger buses. The U.S. has correctly prescribed terror labels to other secessionist groups that employ these tactics – the ETA in Spain, the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, and the PKK in Turkey. Now the people IPOB claims to represent, the Igbo, are even seeking to distance themselves from the group. So why hasn’t the U.S.? One reason may be the group’s million-dollar contracts with prominent American lobbying firms paid to whitewash the group’s reputation and lobby on Capitol Hill. It is impossible to believe that IPOB and Kanu’s deep pockets are not being lined by external organizations. A terror designation would put a stop to this influence peddling. It would also mean the group could not use the US or its Western allies, like London-based Radio Biafra, to further their cause. The group’s outsized influence – a function of its radio station, paid hands, and US lawyers – would be severely curtailed. Law enforcement in the US, the U.K., and elsewhere would be obligated to act by shutting down these activities. That a small terrorist organization can bully senior U.S. officials in American courts and leverage the influence of foreign agents to challenge an ally’s security would be laughable were it not so alarming. Washington must not ignore Nigeria’s terrorists any longer. • Ivan Sascha Sheehan is the executive director of the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Baltimore. There hasn't been any summit where Ndigbo or Yoruba reeled out secession as their demand. Nobody has told me who made Nnamdi Kanu the spokesperson of igbos? |
When MNK was busy insulting everyone and burning bridges, he did not remember that he will need those people on the day of reckoning. Now the Reverend father wants igbo elders to speak on kanu's ordeal. I wish FG will forget this guy in detention till 2023. |
Secession call may not be a true reflection of what the totality of the people want. Secession call is best, the cry of the wounded and politically excluded in those regions. There hasn't been a summit where Ndigbo or Yoruba reeled out secession as their demands. Thus, such calls are products of groups devoid of political and traditional mandates. Let it be known today that people are free to stage protests in Europe or any other part of the world for as long as they can,but if it is done without the support of the stakeholders in their regione through democratic means, such external noise would be regarded as a mere fairytale. |
loveth360:People take advantage of the festive period to fix wedding ceremonies. He may have invited his fellow IPob members to celebrate with him, not knowing that he will partake in the evil he has nutured . Shameless people |
udele1:May be none of his members knew his birthday or they are ashamed to celebrate his birthday in detention. |
I wonder what an IPBO coordinator who fixed his wedding for 1st of October will be thinking now. May we not be part of what will cause us pains. |
I wonder what an IPOB coordinator who fixed his wedding for 1st of October will be thinking now. May we not be part of what will cause us pains. |
I am surprised that his members are not celebrating his birthday today. That is not a good way to celebrate a supreme leader whom they love and cherish. A sit at home declaration today would have made more sense. Ndiara!

Some thing tells me that he looking for how to be in the good books of Nigeria and IPOB at same time. He is One of the longest serving senators in Nigeria. One of those that became rich through politics. All thanks to Chimaroke Nnamani supported his political career. |
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has likened separatist groups in the southern part of the country to the insurgents in the northeast; Boko-Haram and ISWAP. Mr Gbajabiamila said miscreants disguising as separatist groups have a low tolerance for dissenting opinions or views, thereby, making them similar to the bloodthirsty groups in the northeast. He stated that government must add all separatists in the South to the list of concerns. According to the Speaker, “In the South of Nigeria, East and West, miscreants and criminals masquerading as separationist activists have emerged to wreak havoc, take lives and commit economic sabotage against fellow Nigerians and against the state.” Adding that, “their refusal to engage in debate, or to consider the possibility of dissenting opinions and alternative viewpoints, are no different from Boko Haram and ISWAP.” He noted that Nigeria will deploy all available resources to end the insecurity in the country. https://www.google.com/amp/s/dailypost.ng/2021/09/15/ipob-others-not-different-from-iswap-boko-haram-gbajabiamila-talks-tough/%3famp=1

The fact is that an average igbo man in the east is groaning in pains as a result of the economic loss and the sufferings associated with the self-inflicted bondage called sit at home. A story was told about how a man who is sympathetic to IPOB agitation lost his pregnant wife because of the sit-at-home. He managed to rush his wife to the hospital but the medical personnels around could not handle the complications. The doctor who could have helped her, could not drive down to the hospital. That is when the veil fell off his eyes, today he is regretting his support for sit at home order. |
I don't think ndigbo will obey it this time having realize that they are in bondage already. |
They should do quick and collect their 20million . |
The British High Commission and a law firm in London, Bindmans, have sought the consent of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, to take up his case. The PUNCH gathered on Thursday that Kanu’s Nigerian lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, delivered two forms to the IPOB leader on Wednesday during a visit to the office of the Department of State Services, where he is being detained. Ejimakor told our correspondent that the development would open up a new chapter in the trial of Kanu, adding that the Nigerian government would be served with summons to bring him to the United Kingdom, where another case would be heard over the manner of his rendition to Nigeria. He said, “I went to visit him on Wednesday and went with two forms. One was the consular consent form that the British High Commission required that he signs to consent to consular assistance. There was also a form from his counsel in the UK. The firm is known as Bindmans, one of the largest law firms in the UK. “The forms will open a whole new chapter of legality, including the filing of a Writ of Mandamus, against the Nigerian government in a UK court to compel it to produce Kanu, because his detention is illegal under the British law. It was an extraordinary rendition, which is an international crime by which a state kidnaps a suspect or a fugitive without the due process of law. “They will be filing all these processes in the UK and there is a prospect of a UK court assuming universal jurisdiction or extra-territorial jurisdiction and reaching into Kenya so that they can arrest every Kenyan official, either authorised or not, and every Nigerian official involved in this case.” The lawyer noted that the DSS collected the forms, saying they must first go through the vetting of its legal unit. He said despite being told that he would collect them on Thursday, he had yet to be contacted by the government agency. Ejimakor said during his three-hour meeting, the IPOB leader gave a vivid account of how the Nigerian government hired agents, who abducted and flew him into the country. While quoting Kanu, he said the IPOB leader was blindfolded and flown on a private jet without any extradition hearing or immigration process. He stated, “Kanu said he was flown to Abuja in a private jet on Sunday, June 27, 2021, from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, and that he was the lone passenger. “He was blindfolded and driven to the tarmac very close to the plane without passing through the airport immigration. “The plane departed Nairobi around 12pm and arrived in Abuja in the evening. “Kanu was tortured and subjected to untold cruel and inhuman treatment in Kenya. He said his abductors disclosed to him that they abducted him at the behest of the Nigerian government. “The people that abducted him said they were told by their sponsors that Kanu was a Nigerian terrorist linked to Islamic terrorists in Kenya, presumably Al-Shabab. But after several days when they discovered his true identity, they tended to treat him less badly. “Despite that, they told him they felt committed to hand him over to those that hired them. “According to Kanu, no warrant of arrest was shown to him or even mentioned to him. And for the eight days, he was held incommunicado, nothing of presenting him before a court or transferring him to an official detention facility was ever mentioned. He was held in a nondescript private facility and chained to a bare floor. “Kanu was interviewed for the first time in my presence by three DSS officers. The interview was revealing as it contained certain new allegations that were never heard of before. But all the questions relate directly or indirectly to his status as the leader of IPOB.” The counsel said despite his client’s ordeal, he was in high spirit. https://punchng.com/britain-firm-seek-kanus-consent-to-take-over-case/

I am impressed with your intelligent quotient. Many Nigerians do not know that this war is all about propaganda.I have analyzed that video and have seen alot of cut and join occurrences just to claim responsibility. I am not ruling out the possibility of being brought down by bokoharam but in this case, there's no concrete evidence and can't be used to butress any claim. babaolofin: |
A typical Nigerian Politician will not give direct answer to that question,he would rather want to be allowed to focus on delivering on his promises. His administration is just few months old and he is talking about his re-election bid. His answer to that question shows how unprepared he is to deliver on their promises. Sleeping Joe wake up! |
A High Court 1 sitting in Kogi State has sentenced one Ocholi Edicha to 12 years and 6 months in prison for the gruesome murder of Mrs Salome Abuh, during the 2019 governorship election. Recall that the state Police Command arrested six suspects in connection with the incident. The six suspects paraded were Ocholi Edicha, Adamu Haruna, Onu Egbunu, Musa Alidu, Attai Haruna and Attah Ejeh. The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Busari had said Edicha aged 30 confessed that he led the gang that burnt the house of Elder Simon Abuh which led to the death of his wife, Mrs Salome Abuh. Following the development, Edicha was on Tuesday arraigned before Justice Ajayi who sentenced him to 12 years in prison. The prosecuting counsel, Barr. Otigbe Joseph, however, moved against the ruling, adding that it wasn’t enough punishment for the offences committed which bothered on killing. Justice Ajayi while delivering Judgement, held that the oral testimony and eye witness account alongside statement made to the Nigeria Police was sufficient to secure the conviction of the defendant. He convicted the suspect for culpable homicide not punishable with death and sentenced him to 12 years and 6 months in prison for the offence. https://dailypost.ng/2021/03/24/court-sentences-killer-of-kogi-pdp-women-leader-salome-abuh-to-12-years-in-prison/

Most tenants renew their rents at the beginning of the year. Based on my tenancy agreement,I renewed my rent early than expected because I had a lot of activities lined up for the year that will require money. Besides, I don't want landlord to remind me that my rent has expired. In previous years, I renewed my rent on the second week of the beginning of the month so that I don't send a signal of abundance on my side. Sometimes, I pay in arrears even when the money is there. I was surprised that after making the payment, I got a notification of increment of rent effective from January, 2022. My family has been very peaceful tenant since we parked in. I have thought through the notice to find the best way to approach him to withdraw the increment without him giving me an option to park out if I am not comfortable. Please advise me on the best approach to use in this situation. |

In most organisations, when one gets to managerial position, you are no longer a union member.Staff welfare is no longer your priority but company profits. Gamesmart: |
I have good knowledge of the company more than you. No matter your position in the union, you can't challenge the management when decisions are taken or earn yourself a sack. The essence of belonging to a labour union or having one in a company is for protection against the harsh decisions of the management. If the management by error of ommision or commission decide to weaken the union, they have themselves to blame when the chips are down. It can go either side. Gamesmart: |
