PoliticsRe: Reps Threaten To Arrest Okonjo-Iweala Over N4.5trn Contract by ikoha: 8:36am On Sep 14, 2011
maybe i missed something but this contract was awarded before Mrs Okonjo resumed work. and according to the report, she was still carrying out investigation into the award of the contract being that she was not the one that awarded the contract. is she not supposed to gather her facts together so that when she comes to the  panel she will be able to present fact and figures? i dont understand the speed at which the panel wants her to appear before them. is she not supposed to be given adequate time or an ultimatum after which the panel can start talking tough and finally heaping legal brimstones on her. this is just a case of someone in your family commits a crime and you get quizzed about it and finally gets arrested. just my opinion.

RomanceRe: Diet Or I Leave ! by ikoha: 5:33pm On Sep 02, 2011
i cant stand a fat woman because of all the health complications associated with being fat at later stage in life. there is a thin line between obesity and ''orobosity''. arthritis, diabetes, cardio-vascular issues and other echetaram echetaram are some of the complications that can arise from being fat at old age.

sexually, they are always an uphill task to conquer with all the foldings and ''tyres'' here and there.
a fat lady puts me off big time.

naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! used to listen to wazobia and inspiration fm. but got tired of hearing the same voices everyday. and there are way too many radio stations in lagos that you dont even kno which one to tune into. the beat fm sucks with those three people that present morning program in from morning till noon, they talk about just rubbish.
PoliticsRe: Why I Visited UN House The Day After The Bombing - GEJ by ikoha: 2:02pm On Aug 30, 2011
Well, I have found out that some people on NL are nothing but chronic critics and ardent GEJ haters, therefore, no matter what the man does they will perpetually criticize him. And funny enough, they criticize in an incomprehensible ''motor park'' English that renders their criticism null and void. sometimes i wonder if some of you even saw the four walls of a kindergarten let alone a higher education. nevertheless, GEJ is still my president and your president, therefore, pray for him.

CareerRe: Why Are Professionals So Underpaid In Nigeria? by ikoha: 5:50pm On Aug 05, 2011
it is very pathetic, i was working with a pharmaceutical company sometime ago, imagine, they were paying my area manager, who was a pharmacist 65k while they were paying other biological scientists including me a biochemist, 55k. though they gave us kia rio as official cars but the salary was nothing to write home about despite the monthly 5k allowance for fuel. then considering the distance (V.I, Yaba, Shomolu, Bariga, Akoka, Ikoyi, Idumota, Gbagada, Obalende, V.G.C, Lekki, Aja, Ibeju-Lekki, Epe, e.t.c) i had to cover as a medical representative, using the word slavery is an understatement.
i have since jettisoned the pharmaceutical profession to something more lucrative.
abeg, stay put where you are unless you are ready to start something of your own, and have enough courage and the financial muscle to wrestle with the hydra-headed monsters of insecurity, infrastructural decadence, and corruption.
ComputersRe: Why Are Nigerians So Crazy About 2go by ikoha: 9:13am On Aug 04, 2011
2go is meant for students. i was a huge fan of it till i found out that most othe people there are fakers and takers. they claimed who they were not. they asked you for money to come visit you, they asked for recharge cards to continue chatting with you, and generally nothing meaningful came out of it. i had over 400 on my friends list but virtually all of them were students and it was at that point i concluded that it was meant for students basically. some real things came out of it though, but like someone said ''what happens in Vegas remains in Vegas''.

RomanceRe: Can You Marry Someone You Met Online? by ikoha(op): 4:40pm On Jul 28, 2011
livedit:
Livedit met her (now) husband online and very happily married. We've known it each now going on 2 years. We married a little over a year later after courtship/meeting. He is the same today as he was when I met him. Sure, my family AND his family was against us. Even laughed and made jokes saying it wasn't going to work out and the normail stereotyping and closemindness I'm hearing today. Now my honey and I have the last laughed. Both sides adore us.

I also have friends who met online. Now happily married with families going strong.

It just amazes me how many people are so closed minded. Still living in this box of the way they think things should be. Not all online relationships work just like not all "real life" relationships work out. People can be a fraud on and offline. The point is, regardless of the original meet rather on or offline, you DO need to meet again and again etc. to get to know each other.

I met my ex-boyfriend in person. And Lord forgive me, I swear he was the bottom of the barrow. He was a fraud, liar, cheater, deceiver, user, loser and a scammer.

Regardless on how a couple meet, rather online or offline, you need to take the time to get to know each other. Sure, online you can meet alot of criminals/scammers, but is it just limited there? Just like in "real life" you have to be careful whom you hook up with. You can STILL pretend to be someone you're not.

So according to some people, all failed relationships failed because they must've ALL met online. Wow!!
thank you aunty livedit. with that your comment and as a living witness to the matter at hand, which is what am looking for, i am now 101% behind my very good friend.

how did u get in involved in the first place?
how do u mean you find it hard to quit?
are there some unseen spiritual police standing behind you with ak-47 24/7?

this is really laughable because if you could post this, you can as well quit.
but remember there is a way that seemeth right to a man but the end thereof is death.
CelebritiesRe: 2face Idibia On Drugs: ‘i Have Stopped Smoking Marijuana’ by ikoha: 3:59pm On Jul 28, 2011
Legendary singer Tuface confesses to trying out marijuana and insists that he is off it now. The singer who jointly won the BET plaque with D’banj in a recent interview was quoted as saying he has smoked marijuana to get ‘ire’ [high]. His response to the question about drugs was:

“When it comes to drugs, I can say I drink Panadol sometimes when I have headache. Or I can take Vitamin C. Marijuana? Yes, I have tried it before. I tried it and I felt ire (high).

I don’t want to even start encouraging anybody or talking about that. But I am just being truthful. I have done it before. Cocaine, heroin? I have never taken tried those ones.Never, ever, ever.

I have never taken marijuana to go onstage. It was just for relaxation purpose. But like I said, I don’t even want to go there.

So, let’s leave that. I just knew marijuana wasn’t for me. So I stopped. Because it makes me feel I am in another world.

I stopped using it a couple of years ago. I wouldn’t say it was difficult stopping it. It wasn’t too difficult.

It was just craziness that introduced me to marijuana. You know how youthful energy used to push one into things like that. In those days; I listened to songs like Rolling down the Street Smoking.

All those songs can influence, if you want to be influenced. It is not for me to advise musicians not to write or sing about drugs. Then he added:

The thing is just to bring up your kids the right way. Not letting them fear, but let them see the truth, the reality and make their choices by themselves.

I don't see anything wrong with marrying someone you met online,
so far ypu have spent some quality time with them in reality and getting to know what they are like,
i think they are good to go.You can meet your life partner anywhere,on the internet, road side, train, plane, work place, it
doesn't really matter,so far there's a good chemistry and you both share a mutual understanding, that's part of all there is.
nice one.
RomanceCan You Marry Someone You Met Online? by ikoha(op): 11:21am On Jul 28, 2011
my friend met this chic on facebook, they became friends, and started talking like five times daily untill they finally met face-to-face.
the chemistry was right, she confessed that my friend scored way beyond what she had anticipated physically. she likes tall, dark and athletic physique, which she has found in him. my friend liked her alot because she was his kind of woman, intellectually, physically and, character-wise he could say she was okidoki having been with her for not too long as to ascertain that. both are working, she is 26 and he is 31.
right now, my friend is considering marriage and she happens to be top on his list.
my question is have you seen couples that met online and ended up in a family way? what are the consequences? how will people feel during the introduction that they met on facebook, a social network?

serious answers only!!!!

well guyz to say my mind, if virgin mary could get pregnant by the power of the holy spirit, i believe, this guy could as well get a humanly impossible 7.99 grin grin grin grin. CU is located in a church environment where the power of the holy spirit is uncontrollably available 24/7 via sunday services, midweek services, night vigils, prayer meetings, shiloh, youth conferences and a litany of other church programs. holy spirit must have knocked his putty brain open in any of those instances. just another miracle. c'mon! praise the lord somebody!!!!!!

a good shower before going to bed can reduce your chances of being attacked by mosquitoes because mosquitoes are mainly attracted by body odor, body temperature, sweat and smelly feet
