It's just testament to how mediocre we've been over the years, we never had Viking in the club when we were the best in d world by far, Xavi and Iniesta ran, created chances and dominated any midfield in the world, the run you bastards phrase started with Pep and it transcends through the whole team. Puig and Dejong can give exactly that if given the chance, coaching deficiencies and tactics ineptitude is what makes a player like Vidal indispensable.
He's a good player no doubt and offers something different but he shouldn't be starting big games for Barça

Guardiola had midfield enforcers sha. That's why Keita played so many matches under Guardiola. That's why Vidal was a constant starter for Guardiola at Bayern and why Fernandinho has been crucial in all city title winning sides

personally, I would prefer Lacazette, I think that guy is underated. His hold up play is superb, he can strike the ball, both outside and inside the box, he makes run, he can drift wide to accommodate a teammate run, he links up too well. I don't know about his pressing game, but from all the arsenal games have watched so far, he has surprised me. He would be cheaper of course but he is 29.
I haven't watched Leipzig, full match, even in the champions
league, but I do watch bundesliga highlights, he scores cool goals but I think he needs lots of space to thrive and he isn't the most fluent dribbler to break down spaces and come out of tight situation, if I'm wrong, correct me. Lacazette is good too, and for me the best young striker we could sign is Gabriel Jesus. Gabriel can dribble, can pass, is good in the air, has excellent positioning and is YOUNG. Werner needs space to work and you are right on that. Laca can thrive in this team with high efficiency. But if we brought out 100m to sign Martinez, why don't we go for Gabriel Jesus and hear what Man city will say? Our board is just daft abeg. Even this Martial that Man utd are enjoying, we can go for him, primarily because he is good in tight spaces and has done well for himself in EPL when it comes to converting chances. Not Richalison

Werner plays upfront with another striker or alone. Leipzig plays with formations 3-4-1-2, 4-4-2, 4-2-2-2, 3-4-2-1

3 4 2 1, he has two attacking midfielders supporting him. Who also push high and getting into attacking positions. Though they are not wingers. Sometimes Barca play that way. For Germany too, he plays with support from both flanks.

A players confidence usually would be if a club chases me seriously and pays expensively in hundreds of millions for me, it means I would be of value but the way players who have forced their moves to barca have ended, I doubt any player(attacker) would take such risk of joining (especially Martinez of inter)

We signed Frenkie De Jong and have been playing out of his best position for more than 85% of matches this season. Chelsea signed Werner who KNOWS how to play in a 3 man attack for less than 65m. We are breaking our heads to sign Lautaro that has played best in a 2 man attack. Signed Malcolm for no reason except to spite Roma, signed Coutinho without signing the players to help him play best since he offers nothing defensively, signed Dembele for 120m but man has been more injured than fit. Neymar's participation is team's play is alot more than Greizemann. I do not blame Greizemann at all. He is not a winger, unlike Neymar. My only problem with this 4 3 1 2 is that since it's a very narrow formation, width has to be provided by the wing backs and for all of Semedo and Alba's pace they are leaving almost 30 to 40 metres of open space behind them. Meaning any counter na express road. Technical fouls will have to be necessary and Lenglet, Pique and Busquets aren't pacy enough to cover those spaces. Hopefully, Setien finds a way to handle such space in the event of a counter
