The passage you put here supports the claims that speaking in tongue is useless when no one understands or no one can interpret. Don't stop at verse 2, read the remaining. Pay attention to verse 9 to 28.....especially verse 28. How can people say amen to what they don't understand? If you have to speak your gibberish, speak it when you are alone. Personally I walk out on any pastor or anyone when they start speaking their gibberish, for all I know it might be an incantation.
