This cannot be the UK or the story is just cut and paste. There is no police anywhere in the UK called Garda. |
OmoOgunOriginal:If Abiodun indeed said such, then shame unto him. Is the predecessor he is talking about from another party or from Mars? If the houses' prices are too exorbitant, why don't you continue the project and offer a better price, and "OWN" the project? Why allow it to continue to be a den of miscreants? Mr. Governor, it does not show that you have sense at all to come out proudly and make such claims. Very stupid and senseless human beings. All they know is to waste and steal the little resources of the country. Awon alainirori dede! |
Vlyrics:So in your mind, if a business is making losses, you should not question their strategy and past decisions, but just continue to pump more money into it right? Have you asked yourself why Leicester is more successful than Arsenal in the league? Have you thought maybe this so called non elite clubs might have a better work ethics and financial control than the wasteful elites? Simply because the so called elite clubs are spending huge amount of money on players sometimes undeservedly too does not mean they should get more from the cake. The amount spent on players should never be a determinant of what they get, but the success they get from their investments. In football, success is about winning, and if they are not winning, the loosing teams don't deserve more money than the winning teams. If they are not OK with UEFA they can still go ahead and create their own association and leave FIFA affiliated FAs. |
tribalmall:There's no much wrong with his assertion, except Ìjẹ̀bú is classed among central Yoruba dialects along with Ifẹ̀. Ilajẹ, Ìkálẹ̀, Ondo, Ọ̀ghọ̀, Àkúrẹ́ etc. are indeed eastern Yoruba dialects, because they are spoken in the "Eastern part of Yoruba land". Ṣe ó yé ọ nísinsìnyí àbúrò? |
OBALOLA55: These religious people are very funny and halfwitted. If you are asking the clerics not to join the government, because Democracy is founded by "Christians and Jews"; I wonder why he using the media created by the same people likewise. I wonder why he is not fighting his holy fight with the sword, bow and arrows, chariots only. He shouldn't be using a car, a phone, electricity, refined petroleum products, guns, rocket launcher etc. Àwọn to ti madden internationally. |
Light78: Ẹja òkódó ó mí jẹ́ rìn ní èdè Ìlàjẹ́. The fish is called ÒKÓDÓ in Ìlàjẹ́ dialect. |
Ace16:Can you kindly explain how Ibori got the land if you know? |
icon02:Akurakuda is the corruption of the English crocodile. The word for crocodile in Yorùbá is Ọ̀nì. |
enshi: You let her catch you! Just say it wasn't you!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s3vHFyybxk |
jahsharon:Are you for real? What treasonable felony has Yẹlé committed? When was the trial? I wish you could be charged and same injustice meted to you for these insane utterances. |
DexterousOne:You said I have no idea, but failed to provide the facts on how Franceafrique is enriching France tremendously that it would lead to France becoming a poor country if the African countries should withdraw their Reserves. Also, you can as well provide snippets of the contracts France signed with Mali and Niger which can buttress your claim that France is cheating those countries. Do come forward with your facts please. I am waiting. No sentiments. Thank you. |
BabaRamota1980: That's a big fat lie a lot Africans like to peddle around to console themselves. If the CFA countries would withdraw all their reserves from France, of course it would have an economic impact, but don't believe this would make France suddenly become a poor country. France is still a manufacturing hub of world repute. Even in the article, it is written that the combined GDP of the 14 countries is merely $300 billion (150 million people). Compare it to France's (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_France). Sentiment apart, if you ask me who would be poorer, I would like to suggest to you to look closer to home. French leaders aren't definitely going to deplenish their country's Reserve and spend on frivolities or stealing and locking it away in one foreign account. |
seguno2:But he said the truth. One of the many rampant forms of corruption in Nigeria is contract inflation. Please do check and compare the cost of projects in Nigeria with similar ones in other economies, adding and subtracting uniquely peculiar conditions and you will see the wastefulness and lack of financial discipline going on in Nigeria. It's a big disease of the country. Even the saintly government of Buhari is plagued with it. |
soberdrunk:Like the consequences their football team faced during the world cup in Russia in the "FEET" of the super "FAILURE" eagles of Nigeria? Maybe you should check out the social and economical statistical data before issuing out threats. Don't be fooled by their meagre population of about 5 millions. Their brain is working and they are using it to develop their country. |
@tianshie Does your friend has older siblings from same father and mother? I would expect so since your friend was born 11 years after the Civil War. Can you kindly confirm? |
tomiwa344:No, that's not a real Governor. A real Governor would not have to wait to be FORCED to do it's obligation irrespective of who owed the arrears. Terrible and irresponsible people. |
PassingShot:10k fun old man. Yippeee. |
Buffalowings3: That's a very dumb statement. If you want to be a slave, just say YOU BUFFALOWINGS3 should be enslaved. Slavery was never a good thing. As a black man, you are still suffering from the psychological repercussion of being the only race to have been sold - by it's own people - to another race on a massive proportion. If you have your senses right, this story of Amazon's success shouldn't have triggered you wishing to be enslaved, but rather it should pushes you to strive to enlighten our people about the importance of acquiring the REAL knowledge (Technology). Being a slave would not make you technically savvy, but would kill every innovative spirit in you to come up with ideas to build a company like Amazon. |
obaataaokpaewu:Radio Biafra was a rogue radio station. It had no license to broadcast in Nigeria. That can’t be said of the Fresh FM. |
ozo13: How many times have you heard that children coming back from Sunday School in the South East/ South South go by the houses inhabited by Moslems, and start to throw stones at the house/window? And don’t come with the argument that Moslems don’t live in these two regions. If you go to Shoprite Enugu you find a lot of Hausa children, well dressed and having fun without molestation. |
Fearlez: You are very sensible. And you have pointed out the laziness or rather the lack of intelligence of the Nigerian police. The Nigerian security outfits don’t really have much intelligence, and they seems to also lack the will and Know-how to carry out intelligence investigations, and that’s the reason they always result to the very easy and cheap way out. Arrest the journalist and torture him. |
Tessyama1:Nigerians and football age are like ants and sugar. How can you be 7 in 1951, and be celebrating 67th birthday in 2018 Flo? If your age in 1951 was 7, then you should be 74 in 2018. Flo, please stop your ridiculous lies (aka Lai Mohammeds). Taink you |
ADESOLA96:Aiye ma fuge Ilaje. Ugba yi mo mi j'uya me ma n'ebi 'ba o Ugba yi mo d'ologho, ji mo d'oloro J'ebi bami sesen wa ma mi origho. Oniba we ma ayo wa yo aburo ke Eee o oniba we ma ayo wa yo o. |
Bhol28:Well, Nigeria does charge a lot. And also if you are honest with yourself, it is not farfetched for these countries to require you to conduct the test at their certified medical centre. It's a common knowledge that in Nigeria, anything goes. Why would anyone require you to learn their language to visit as a tourist or a business man? All the complaints you have made are about Student Visa, and not general Visas. Besides, you are made aware of the requirements and attendant costs. No hidden information, hence not comparable situations. |
Bhol28:And you think the Nigerian Visa fees for these countries are cheap right? Just take a look at the fees charged by Nigerian Immigration on their website before you talk please. And besides, it seems people that have never applied for a Visa are the ones supporting this daylight robbery otherwise known as policy of doing business with ease in Nigeria. Where is the ease of doing business here, when you charge people fees you have not made known to them in any form? And you charge everyone including those who do not have interest in doing any business in Nigeria, but are just visiting families. Nigeria is a very fraudulent country. |
Ogbeche77:I read, but hardly comment here. The place is full of senseless idiots. I don't have issue mingling with young people, but I like to avoid rude individuals with poor home upbringing. I hope you're doing great. Have a pleasant summer . |
LadyMarionette:Firstly I thought you are a sensible person, but reading your reply gives you completely away as an ignorant nonentity. If it was such a nice hymn, I would dare you to go to Germany and sing it loud in the square. I would be keen not only to know what the law says about your behaviour, but also what the proud "German nationalists" think about how an "Untermensch" like you are dirtying their oh so lovely national anthem. |
LadyMarionette:I sincerely hope you're not a black person or someone with African root, and I hope you know the meaning of the short sentence you scribbled up there. I hope you equally know that that part of the German national hymn is forbidden and for good reasons too. I hope when the NAZIS are "über dich" you will be very happy to sing that song in an "Arbeitslager" all alone. |
Berliner1:Good to hear that they have abandoned the tuition fees as Bavaria was at the forefront of introducing tuition fees. I see it also on DAAD page as well: https://www.daad.de/deutschland/nach-deutschland/voraussetzungen/en/9198-financing/. East Germany has been a hotbed of intolerance against foreign looking people. Maybe I am listening to the wrong news about Germany, but NTV is actually a mainstream TV network and they report about foreigners especially asylum seekers being attacked in some states in the East. A question for you, where is the large communities of Yorubas in Brandenburg? I knew you were going to mention Berlin, but is a very different case if you know the history of modern Germany. Potsdam's closeness to Berlin is an advantage, but Brandenburg has seen a number of people killed because they are African. Do you remember the case of the Ethiopian guy? That was not too long ago. I know there are many Yoruba people in Berlin, but Brandenburg, not so. I was actively involved with Egbe Omo Yoruba Germany / Egbe Isokan Omo Yoruba Germany e.V. Leipzig I have to say is a cosmopolitan city in Saxony. The state of Saxony is however a hotbed of anti foreigner demonstration if ARD, ZDF, NTV etc. are not lying in their reports. And German media seem to be more reliable sources than American or Russia Today. Regarding Amazon jobs, isn't only available during the Xmas season? Anyway, to answer your question, and not to argue blindly, I am not saying Germany is terrible, but that you should make people aware of the issues so as to be able to cope well. And besides, I think I made it clear in my post that there is a dichotomy between the policy of the state, and that what the people want. Else AfD would not be getting so much votes. Indeed the Government of Merkel has helped the Syrian refugees, but that has given made the Nazi parties to swell in their numbers. Germany is a beautiful and lovely country, and we have some of the most kindhearted people in the world. Nonetheless, there are many, too many terrible people that just don't like someone, because of their skin color. Even though it is not widespread across the country, but still there are some no go areas. Enjoy. |
AJOBI77:Shile kan is not one Naira. One Naira was equivalent to "Shile mewa" while "Shile kan" was just "ten kobo". |
Berliner1:If you pay for something even if it's one Euro, you cannot qualify it as free, because you are paying for it. There are perks you get from different states, but you have to differentiate from state to state. When I replied you, I don't think I spoke about private Universities. I said Education is state affair, and you should be specific and not generalize. BTW, how many private universities do you have in Germany? There are not many, so please learn to keep arguments in the proper perspective. Again, saying it's only B-W that collects fees shows you are not conversant with the situation. Bavaria does collect fees too, even if the fees you pay are not as expensive as what you pay in the UK. You still have to calculate it as part of your cost to arrive at the proper cost of living. I do not know how you young people argue. First and foremost, tribalism and racism are two different things. Secondly, online rants, and physical attacks are not the same either. How many of those ipod people or Yoruba e-warriors have you heard are going after each other on the streets of Nigerian towns? And if you had understood my post very well, you wouldn't come with such ridiculous counter argument. I remember to clearly have said Eastern Germany is particularly worse. And the most states in the East are poorer than the west, and they have a lot of these Nazis all around towns, and it is much dangerous to go out alone again. This was something that happened 20+ years ago, and the government did a lot to suppress it, and in the wake of the plenty asylum seekers have resurfaced again. I lived 19 years there, and it was the most enjoyable time. But I was aware of the dangers. I was aware of where to go, where not to go, and I avoided going to some areas in the dark alone at night. Still, you cannot totally avoid these people. And comparing Nairaland ipod and e-warrior rants to racism, and saying there's racism everywhere tells me you are not conversant with the danger of Nazism. Anti foreigners sentiment is very high in today's Germany, and people need to know it. If you want to go to school in Germany, avoid states in the East (Saxony, Mecklenburg-Pomerania, Brandenburg, Saxony- Anhalt and to some extent Thuringia) even though it is cheaper there, because the chance that some lunatics can physically attack and kill you, because of your skin colour IS REAL. Besides, you may not find a semester job if you stay in the east. |
Berliner1:Please stop misleading people about Semesterticket being free. You get to pay for it, but it is subsidized. And besides, tuition is not free in all Universities. You have to be specific in which State you live, because you cannot generalize the conditions in your state to other states. Education is state and not federal government affair in Germany. The UK is at least ca 500 kilometres away from Germany at their closest point, and you have to cross either France, Belgium or the Netherlands, and of course the sea to get to the UK from the Germany. If you are not an EU/EEA citizen, you need a visa to enter the UK even though you have a Schengen visa. Public transport Infrastructures are generally better in Germany than the UK. Germany is richer than the UK, and so Life tends to be better on average in Germany. However, you must not forget that in Germany, the chance to be exposed to racial hate is much higher than in the UK. East Germany is particularly worse. Even though the government of Angela Merkel is friendly to immigrants', this doesn't mean German people like the foreigners much. I lived in Germany for more than 19 years. By the way, it's "Willkommen in Deutschland". I know that Deutsche Grammatik can cause a lot of "headaches;-). |
