Hez143: Short answer : Yes. Long answer : The idea is not really an original Nigerian one. It is copied from the sane climes. The difference is, in saner climes, there's more orderliness and accountability. |
ajepako:Àbúrò, jẹ́kí ng bá ẹ fi kun. ... Ọmọ ni yíò sin ọ́, bí o ti sin... Àwọn ọmọ gbẹ̀hìn bàbá. |
ruzell86:What concerns a politician with what you decide to do with your own life? Is their prerogative to face the consequences of their individual choices. Leave the politicians out of this. |
Truths9ja:Ọma Ìlàjẹ àtàtà. Ẹ̀ lẹ́. Máà dá ghan n'ohùn. Ṣé ara Nairaland.com yá báyìí? Kí kàn rẹ́ pẹ̀lú ọfọ̀ mii? |
ERockson: Oriyọmi an illiterate? What do you understand by the word illiterate? How do you arrive at the judgement that hundred of thousands of people that follow him are illiterate just like himself? |
DadojoReloaded: Can you give factual evidence of all you have ranted about? Have you tried to register a business in any EU country? What issue did you face and what country/countries was/were that? How can you claim you don't know the law of the place you are doing business? The EU is not Nigeria where someone wakes up and introduce a Bill and it is signed into law expressly. There is lengthy discussions and sensitisation. There's nothing like the chaotic executive orders a la USA in the EU. Do you know how many executive orders Trump has introduced in his 5 months administration? And you are claiming ignorance of well debated and articulated law that went through the proper legislative channel? By the way, why would you be negotiating with individual members when there's a responsible negotiation team of the umbrella organisation? |
Great100000:This news seems to have been plagiarised from an Indian news outlet. If not, why use Lakh without translating? |
Acekidc4:If gravity was not working, the plane would not have come down. Gravity is the force that pull objects to the earth. |

Eteka1:Like which EU countries and what do you understand by development? I want to know if you really know what you are talking about yourself. |
The fourth picture is showing two complete legs of a chicken. If they sold that to you as turkey, they have cheated you. Turkey is a bigger bird and the skin is rougher than chicken's. |
Not an American! This sounds more like Australian accent. officialwdhtv: |
Usefulsense:I usually read news and do no longer comment much on Nairaland topics. However, I felt the need to air my opinion on your topic. Firstly, let me tell you that life is very tough every where since Covid and even tougher with the ongoing Ukrainian crisis. Secondly, you being the "bread winner / boss" of the family and the idea of losing this honourable part of your life is very understandable. However, you should be able to adjust if you are able to reach a compromise. By the way, even in the abroad, you should be able to set up your own enterprise if you put your mind into it. Thirdly, I can assure you that 48 is still a young age to relocate. I have seen people older than you relocating and starting completely afresh. Some successful and some not so much. However, you should count yourself lucky that you're not starting from the beginning without some foundation since your madam is already gainfully employed. Nonetheless, I will not want to paint everything as rosy whereby in reality you will face some difficulties i.e. missing friends and family back home in Nigeria, not finding a befitting job, being home and doing nothing etc. This can be very depressing for a human. Now, the saving grace is that OZ is not as cold as up above in Europe here or in CANUSA. Fourthly, believe everything will be good and work towards same. Start working on your CeeVee. It is well with you my brother. Wish you all the best. NB: The journey to OZ is going to be long, take something to occupy the children and yourself with you like books etc. |
officialwdhtv:Edo aromisa lẹ̀gbẹlẹ̀gbẹ. Èkó no be Edo. |
ruggedtimi: Most of them rely on Jesus and Allah and even donate a part of their blood money to the church and the mosque. However, when their cup becomes full, neither Jesus nor Allah has been able to save them. Even very good people I knew, who relied so much on Jesus and Allah respectively, were killed by diseases. If your time is up, your time is up, whether you rely on Charms, Jesus or Allah. That's what life experience has thought me in my near 60 years on this earth. You do not need to mock those who believe in something different than you believe, because same can be said for your god too. |
Hurbashola:King Sunny Ade is not an Afrojuju legend. The one and only Afrojuju legend is Sir Shina Peters. The King is a Juju legend and a music maestro. Please kindly take note. |
Judybash93:I told you my experience when I was a young fisherman in Nigeria some 40 odd years ago when you were probably not yet conceived and you are asking for a picture? Have you set a trap in your life? Sure, a lot of animals and plants (for most part undocumented) that existed back then, have gone extinct. And no, it was not because of over hunting. A lot of them died out due to the loss of their natural habitat. Can you imagine that we caught the alligator, which by the way was not dwarf in any ramification, and the crocodiles in the Ogudu/Maryland axis of Lagos? Those were thick Forest back then and the "odò ìyá Aláró" Water system used to be a good fishing and hunting area. Now, that river was turned into a canal in 1995 and it is a stinky body of water today. If you take a walk from Maryland to Ọjọ́ta or Ogudu to Ifako/Oworonsoki, you cannot escape the malodour from that canal. So you see, even if I cannot provide a pictorial evidence, it is not enough for you to discard my experience and make ridiculous assumptions, because in my language, we definitely can tell apart "ẹlẹ́gungùn" from "ọ̀nẹ̀ / Ọ̀nì". |
Angelfrost:Don't you think you are contradicting yourself? In one breath you said Nigerian is not a Giant of any continent! In another you said The poverty and illiteracy Capital of the universe can't be a Giant! If it is the capital of illiteracy and poverty of the whole universe, surely it must be a Giant in poverty and illiteracy, because the universe is definitely infinitely gigantic you know. Perhaps you did not understand what you were talking about? |
Judybash93:Where did you get the information from that there are no alligators in Africa? The people that put that up probably have not been to the tropical rainforest region of Africa. As someone that have caught both alligator and crocodile (even though it is a while back in the 1980ies) , I can tell you that your source is very wrong. Alligator have short snout and yellow underbelly. Crocodile on the other hand have a longer snout and a white underbelly. They are also differentiable by the noises they make. |
Biodun556:Bàbá onídamaski, k'Oluwa kò f'ọ̀run kẹ... Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey. |
adenigga:Ohanaeze are a bunch what? Why reply the numbskull? And if you have to reply, why not do it tit for tat? There is a prestigious university in the “north” they can as well suggest. It would be a great honour if Nigeria renames Ahmadu Bello University after Queen Elizabeth II. It would make the institution even more prestigious and an envy of all Nigerian universities. AASU or àsun will dare not go on strike in awe of that name. Awon oniranu dede. Omiye ragharagha. |
post=116015118:Hard to believe it is suicide! However, if it indeed turns out to be suicide, she just made the decision by the husband to take another wife VERRRRRY easy. She has also put her young child into misery. |
wwwihy:NDLEA are mad. Just as wasteful as any other Nigerian government agencies. Making a story out of nothing. Imagine, because of 40 gram Igbo they are making such a loud noise. What about their chairman, the Jagabandit of dealership who is pushing Kilogramm of cocaine and heroine? When will they arrest the vagabonds who are the professional dealers and covering up with politics? |
It's been a while since I last logged on to Nairaland. However, this topic really prompted me to say a word or two. My feeling is that this girl may have a hand in the crash of the marriage and she is not telling the whole truth. If you want to break your family bond, you can proceed and marry the husband of your sister. |
I believe you're the one that need to educate yourself. If you read and understood the information you provided, you wouldn't have opened your mouth to embarrass yourself. It's clearly explained what basic food items is and what's not exempted. If you learn to argue level headedly instead of hastily trying to score a cheap point, you wouldn't be embarrassing yourself. blamingthedevil: |
Your rewards are not in this world, but in heaven. Continue to persevere for the groom is coming soon. |
If the incidence had happened in one useless giant country like that, the young man would have been confirmed dead by now. I am very sure the hospitals in that country would have been passing him around and asking for "FIFA report" before they can treat him. Ilu iranu. Continue to rest in peace Sam Okparaji. |
Vicotex:You accused everyone of being hypocritical and not being able to handle power "intelligently". And at the end you concluded with Break the country jor. Why should the country be broken if everyone is incapable? Wouldn't you be creating more useless countries run by power drunk good for nothing leaders like you currently have? Why break Nigeria if you would be creating more Nigeria? |

MansoryMX:There is no point in using unknown number when they would recognize your voice. If you are going tell the parents via unknown number, make sure the person making the call is someone whose voice they will not recognize for your own safety please my daughter. The chance that they would tell the boy where they got the info is very high even where you tell them not to mention they heard from you. |
