The Substance is a solid 8.5/10 for me.

This movie would have easily be a 10/10 for me but the ending ruined everything.
All the great work and storyline all ruined with that childish ending, looking like a low budget horror scene from the 80s.
Apart from the childish ending, the movie is a great movie, perhaps one of the best movies made in the last decade.

These people keep trying to tell the world something through their movies and only few people keep getting it.
This is more than a movie, this is a revelation and i hope few people get what they are trying to reveal to us.

The old version is a complete practical suit, no CGI.

The CGI on the new one looks rough and unfinished and his voice doesn't sound like it's coming out of his body.

Bro this is just the trailer - most CGI is ultimately finished just a month or less before the movie is out plus the new trailer is comic-accurate

Despite the franchise power I can assure you if you put a weaker actor in a well known IP it'll underperform.

And REBIRTH is the perfect movie to test this my theory. Since all movies in the last trilogy all grossed $1bn+.

I can tell you for free, BARBIE wouldn't have crossed a billion if it wasn't for Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig. And a good movie.
Put in an Anya Taylor-Joy & Chloe Zhao and the results will be different.

In fact, Chris Pratt is a meme for a studio's easy cash grab franchise movie.

I felt same way for WICKED and MUFASA despite all the online rave and shouts. And my guts didn't fail me.

Yeah, Superman and F4 both have similar vibes and that's why I don't like their proximity.

Either way, I feel Superman would pull huge crowds. It's between it and Jurassic World that would win July box office.
Rebirth looks like a $750-850mn+ movie to me....not a billion.

I don't get the hype around Fantastic Four.

My first introduction to this group was the 2005 movie and nothing about them felt remarkable to me. I can't remember anything from those movies, it was average and forgettable.

I watched Spiderman 1 and 2 for the first time around that same period and I instantly became a fan.

There was a 2015 movie that I have not seen to this day.

I think people find this one interesting because it's a new MCU team. Eternals got plenty of hype too when the trailer came out. I don't think anybody remembers the previous F4 movies.

That's because you're a marvel movie fan - every fantastic 4 movie has been shit mostly because of the direction and because the rights aren't owned by Disney but 20th century Fox.
But in the comics- they're one of or even the most significant team in Marvel studios - they're the first comics ever in superhero Comics history - first ever drawn up heroes by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. They're the ones who fight of the worst the greatest villains in Marvel - Doctor Doom and Galactus so they're pretty very significant - they were just in the wrong hands in terms of movies that's why

Ultimately, I think SUPERMAN would fare better.
Just that F4 gives Marvel lovers alternatives during that time.
And the fact that there's also Jurassic World in that timeframe is why I don't like their proximity.

steam - the best but no regional pricing. used to be able to buy from there until sometime last year

I later discovered that ACS restrictions were worse than the cracked version because of the many restrictions it came with, you had to keep signing up and using the internet to keep access to tools you'd never use - the same with the movie streaming services - I watch only like 5 movies in a month for each when I can just download clearer 1080p and even 4k versions of every movie and show that comes out of the streaming i.e. I'm paying for lesser quality 😭.

Also I play a lot of video games too and I can tell you- paying for a video game esp when it's on PC and not on PS5 or XBox is absolute burning of money 😩- you're not even buying the game but a licence to the game. If the game doesn't have enough players, they could end your pass 🤦🏾‍♂️.

And you're getting an even worse version of the game sometimes, for example Red Dead Redemption 2 I once bought after playing the pirated version because I loved the game and wanted to support the company. I realised the game was running on 40-53fps and laggy when cracked versions were giving 60-100fps reason because of the insane restrictions in the game code to stop piracy thereby slowing down the game 🤦🏾‍♂️. The Oscars should feel real stupid now, ignoring valid calls before those nominations came out, and going ahead to make this one of the highest nominated flick ever as per the Academy awards. I was literally the happiest person ever when the story unfolded on Twitter. Sincerely! He acted as a dude in the first quarter of the movie and acted better - I wish he was nominated for both actor and actress so he can win both honestly. So I decided to go back to[b] Emilia Perez[/b] after just getting infuriated with it in just the first 10 minutes on first watching 🤦🏽‍♂️. And I can totally get why it’s getting all the nominations👍🏾.

First of all, it’s one of the worst musicals ever and the fact no one is talking about that is just insane- I did not even know it was a musical until I watched it. The music is terrible and catchy-less and sometimes I found it difficult to know if they were just speaking or singing🤦🏽‍♂️.

Second - the story lacked direction and it was so distracting to even know who the main protagonist was 🤦🏽‍♂️ probably because the person who was ‘The hero’ left his wife, his children - is a drug dealer and the movie still wants us to feel sorry for him/her because he decided to leave his children and wife to become a woman😒.

The only reason the Voting bodies like BAFTA, Golden Globes and the Oscars has Emilia Perez probably winning Best Picture (and I’m 90% sure it will) is because they don’t see themselves as movie critics but political critics and trying to use their power to make a political statement about trans ideology and trans rights esp in a time a lot of people are totally against it affecting their own lives even the president.

It’ll also be a historic moment for the Oscars- it’ll be the first time a man wins best Actress😂 over women that have been female all their lives. It would also be the lead to win Best Picture - a woman director; woman leads; a trans lead too- great PR for the Oscars
