Watched the Part One on cable yesterday. Even tho j wasn't feeling the TV speaker so much, there were some scenes that reminded me why this movie was a masterpiece and a visual feast that year. That's why it's the most anticipated movie of the year and it's box office ain't smiling. 😉

Recovering its filming budget already. I also downloaded the IMAX version of Dune 1 on tfpdl. Where can I get IMAX version of movies?

Dune Part Two - Best Cinematic Experience I've ever had
Maybe the reason it's is because this was my first time watching a movie in IMAX since there were never any real IMAX movies in Nigeria.
Dune is crazy from beginning to end with great suspense unlike the first.
Big-screen enterprises, particularly those adapted from books with a huge, fiercely loyal readership, often have a ponderousness built in to every image. In some, you can feel the enormous effort it takes as filmmakers try to turn reams of pages into moving images that have commensurate life, artistry and pop on the screen. Adaptations can be especially deadly when moviemakers are too precious with the source material; they’re torpedoed by fealty but Dune 2 does all this with great care and ease. I'ld have to rewatch it to even do unpack everything I saw because there's a lot to cover

Biggest problem was naming Aang Ong😂 with the most hilarious reason. Can't believe Shyamalan is still giving money to make movies after the dog fart of a movie. I recently rewatched it thinking maybe there's a slight payoff- biggest mistake of the year

So many lose ends were tied and to crown it, The Night King riding a "blue eyed, Zombified" Viserion, and using it to break than "The Wall", and the season immediately ending, might the greatest cliff hanger ever.

The least rated episode of the season was 8.5/10 on IMDB. S7 was anything but trash!.

Also, if you want to convince someone to watch Game of Thrones, just show them that S7 ambush scene, it has worked for me every single time!

S7 was goated in my opinion, it had the best fight sequence of the entire show that I still go back to watch every year - the one where Daenerys ambushes the Lannister army with her dragons with the famous line "We can hold them off" muahh!! Chef's kiss!!
People forget it's the season where we get to see Arya killing all the Freys, little finger dying, Jon Snow and his people at the middle of a legion of dead people and still surviving. The reason most people don't just like it's Ed Sheeran cameo and the plot holes at the end

So if a new say Star wars movie is made by different people and I compare its CGI with the old ones I am somehow wrong to do so because the same people didn't make them .

Lol you just made my point going into it with too much expectations after seeing what the movie was is just setting yourself up for disappointment. It's just the truth! There were already so many things going against it and budget isn't always a solid yardstick we all saw the rings of power with all their massive budget. We all heard the stories of the original showrunners leaving, the changes they made to the characters, given the fact its a live action adaptation which have been shit for years only recently are we getting good ones and all that. These should give you pause to be like ok this might not be that great. But no you ran enter looking for the next GOT .

Yes I will compare it with the other live action adaptation because guess what they are the only live adaptations made so far. Yes, they set the bar so low and these guys did very well in terms of CGI and I acknowledge it. If pikin do well it's good to say ha you did well but you can do better which was the whole point of what I said. if you feel otherwise that's fine for me the CGI was a massive improvement!

While I've seen some complaints of the amount of dialogue in the show... I don't see people complain of it being boring outside this thread.

AOT has served as a gateway into anime for millions around the world.
Many people who don't even watch anime and people who hate anime watch Attack on Titan.

So I don't understand why you guys claim it's boring just because there isn't a fight scene every episode

Nah, AOT is my best anime of all time; I was just talking of the Season 1 - boring in the sense that it's a slow burn just like Season 1 of Succession

Season 2-
Naruto Training with Jiraiya + Akatsuki attack = 2 episodes

3 legendary Sannin arc = 2 episodes

Buildup to Sasuke leaving = 1 episode

Sasuke Retrieval arc = 3 episodes

You are right! I only gave it that rating because live actions are meant to elevate the original source material. One Piece became the most watched anime a week after the live action - people started watching anime because of it. I don't think this will do the same but instead reduce the quality

The fact you don't even know who Toph is tells me you are watching the animation on Indian Youtube. It's not about being bored, It's about the quality of the characters, dialogue, and writing. AOT was boring- acknowledged, but you know there was a sense of quality in the writing and direction

Bro, why wont there be so much expectations They had the biggest budget after One Piece, a bigger budget than Game of Thrones, The Last of Us (which is also a live action adaptation winning awards already), One Piece (another live action that hasn't even finished their animation). They had the best vfx team in the world but they decided to use writers who are not even part of the fandom. It is wack as a standalone series, I never compared it with the animation, I compared it with One Piece and The Last of Us! Can you just admit it's not with those series in any way shape or form.

The visuals were a massive improvement from the movie. I thought it would be impossible to ever portray bending in live action but they did it well. There's alot of room for improvements that's for sure but I am looking forward to where they take it in season 2.

the problem with you guy is comparing this mess to the bigger mess called the movie that must not be named. Shymalan has set the bar so low that you guys will acknowledge mediocrity. Wow

Maybe you've not been watching a lot of good series or movies lately. I'm a hardcore fan of ATLA and I can't even finish an episode without dosing off. I downloading the whole One Piece series and watched everything in one sitting without feeling bored a bit.
Aang's storyline was just so flat- Aang is 12 years old bro 12 years!! and he doesn't even have fun throughout the show wtf!! He doesn't even have the space to make bad decisions.
Maybe the reason I hate it is because I'm not a regular movie viewer, but When watching movies or shows, I tend to watch their eyes and facial expressions, you can always tell when one is trying to remember a script and when they're not. Look at the acting of Meryl Streep or even the young actors of Stranger Things, you can definitely tell those actors can truly act and treat the Source material with respect. I think the Casting Director thought more about the appearance than the actual talent for this show tbh.
A -3/10 for me. Can't wait for the Animation show - the true representation of ATLA

To compare ATLA animation with this is not worth it because at this point no one can do what the animation did. If they tried to replicate the humor, it'll be worse than it is now.
