sammiewrite: Bro stop engaging them. Everything you're trying to enlighten them about they know, only pretending. They planned and INEC planned also. They're only angry that INEC beat them to their game. For instance, up until when INEC announced a winner their server was still being attacked. They envisaged a scenario where results will be uploaded and then they try to manipulate it to create a discrepancy with the ones they were announced at the polling units, all to create confusion and a legitimate ground to stop the announcement. Also, the part where their candidate won Abuja was no coincidence either. That's a lot of wisdom here. Thanks brother. |

IfnobeGod20: Pls have you gone through the 2022 electoral Act? If you've gone through it, you won't be saying what you're saying. The law gave room for electronic transmission from polling units, which would be provided for by the INEC. Which INEC had umpteenth times said, the transmission would be done using BVAS. It results are not transmitted at the polling units using BVAS. INEC have breached the law. Section 64 of the electoral Act is very explicit: 64(4) A collation officer or returning officerat an election shall collate and announce the result of an election, subject to his or her verification and confirmation that the— (a) number of accredited voters stated on the collated result are correct and consistent with the number of accredited voters recorded and transmitted directly from polling units under section 47 (2) of this Act ; and (b) the votes stated on the collated result are correct and consistent with the votes or results recorded and transmitted directly from polling units under section 60 (4) of this Act. (5) Subject to subsection (1), a collation officer or returning officer shall use the number of accredited voters recorded and transmitted directly from polling units under section 47 (2) of this Act and the votes or results recorded and transmitted directly from polling units under section 60 (4) of this Act to collate and announce the result of an election if a collated result at his or a lower level of collation is not correct. (6) Where during collation of results, there is a dispute regarding a collated result or the result of an election from any polling unit, the collation officer or returning officer shall use the following to determine the correctness (a) the original of the disputed collated result for each polling unit where the election is disputed ; (b) the smart card reader or other technology device used for accreditation of voters in each polling unit where the election is disputed for the purpose of obtaining accreditation data directly from the smart card reader or technology device ; (c) data of accreditation recorded and transmitted directly from each polling unit where the election is disputed as prescribed under section 47 (2) of this Act.
Anything done out the electoral Act and the constitution is null and void. No law was breached, it simply gives them power/legality to transmit using IREV. IREV is not the only means of transmission. Asides transmission is collation and announcements. You don't need IREV or BVAs for these. They are just to help the process, not compulsory for you to collate or announce. |

If Inec can't keep to their promises, then our democracy is in danger Saying the election was rigged many times doesn't make it rigged, you need to do better by proving it. i have not seen any Nigerian body, especially government keep strictly to its promise so i really can't see the miracle you are looking for here. Government gave deadline for NIN, for BVN, for cash swap. It didn't happen, exactly as we all know. They've declared emergency on power sector, security, education sector, health sector, corruption, all to no avail. No show. But you suddenly think IREV will be uploaded 100% on election day. On what basis do you believe this, who gave you such faith and trust in the Nigerian system? That being said, IREV will be uploaded 100% one day but it doesn't change anything. Like i said already, it is like uploading a scanned copy of your documents online. It is not greater or more powerful than your original documents. The original documents were brought to collation center LIVE. Certificate of return has been issued. What you have to prove is to tell if there are discrepancies between the original and the uploaded. Otherwise, court and tribunal cases will be thrown out. There's an ongoing court case in Osun state. Many APC sitting governors and stalwarts lost election and their states, so i don't get what you mean by back fire. |

IfnobeGod20: Every sane persons know that Ibos doesn't vote massively before because they have no interest in the electoral system but record has it that as soon as Obi won the LP presidential primary, many of them went to register. Inec specifically said north east and south east have the highest new registrants out of all the regions. That was what informed the turn out of the votes. Till date no political party has argue the votes there. They only argue of voters' intimidation by the locals. Great, voters intimidation you said? And you qualify voter intimidation as ONLY. Is voter intimidation not the greatest rigging? In a whole state having Nigerians from all walks of life, the two main stream parties cannot record up to 10,000 votes. Why? They all love Obi. They refused to turn out in their millions in other states because it is only South East that have interest in the elections. Nobody will likely argue about total number of votes, that is BVAS accreditation job. The argument is about what happens to the accredited. Were they allowed to vote freely? Were their ballot papers used to determine results? Those will be very good questions. |

Politics › Re: 83% Of Presidential And NASS Results Has Be Uploaded On INEC's Portal by Image123(m): 11:04am On Mar 02, 2023 |
IfnobeGod20: You're just trying to play smart to justify your comment because how would you say making available IREVs still carries little weight. If INEC had uploaded the results earlier, it would have helped all parties and even citizens to be able to compare results they have at hand, one uploaded and the results announced at the national collation centre. That your statement befit any argument. You also lied, they complained of some results from some states that were altered. They complained that of Plateau, Ekiti, Lagos, Rivers, Imo, Delta but there was nothing done about them but what you hear is go to court. The question is, should issue of election is end in court, if it was done according to the rule? Even the the blind knows that this year election was far from being called fair, free and credible. Taking for example, the Rivers state election results. Thankfully, I have seen many APC supporters that have owed up to that, that it was unnecessary for Wike to have rigged the Rivers election to favour APC. All parties have and had the results before it got to collation center, they counted and signed it together. They can't claim ignorance of it except play to the gallery. Votes are not counted on Twitter and WhatsApp status, the party agents at the wards know the truth. So coming to make unfounded, unproven, inciting statements on national Television can't be argued unnecessarily. You simply go to court or Tribunal if you are not satisfied with the report and results you get from your agent/representative. All the main parties had situation rooms and headquarters where they added the results before INEC openly declared it. They knew that they lost, but they cried wolf to cause problems. If they have otherwise proof, it's simple. Go and prove it before a competent court, not on Facebook or AIT. Complain with proof, not complain just to disrupt and discredit because you don't like the results. |

IfnobeGod20: This is more of after thought or just your own thought. You forgot that billions were appropriated for this purpose to develop an acceptable site to accommodate records of the election. If INEC could not do that, then, there is sabotage within the system to keep to the old rule and subvert the will of the people. Today, people are uploading different kinds of things into Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and other social platforms. Please what stops INEC from hiring experts to develop site that can accommodate what they were expecting from just 774 wards and 176, 846 polling units and even expand it to accommodate two to three of its size. Please what is so difficult in that? We just to stop justifying failure. Nigeria is too big for us to be experiencing such abnormality with the brains of tech experts in Nigeria and even out the shore. That's a query for INEC, they are the ones responsible for that. It doesn't have much to do with our electoral laws and processes. It's a good thing poorly implemented. But in no way, the crux of the matter. Elections are held all over the world and physically collated. Internet upload is not greater or more valid than hard copy in any system. |

IfnobeGod20: My brother both the BVAS and IREVs was to help in the election transparency. Nobody is complaining that the final election collation is done manually but before it is done manually, INEC should have made available the IREVs as promised for proper tracking of results so submitted by each state returning officer. Asking parties to take their grievances to court, which can easily be done during collation and even safe the integrity of the commission that truly its conducted free and fair election. We cannot continue to doing the wrong thing and asking people to go to court. It's not done anywhere in the world. The system will first ensure they did the best to ensure all parties are satisfied by the law they operate on. That language of saying go to court is annoying and sinister. There is no sin in doing the right thing but there is a sin doing the wrong thing and expect peace. IREV should be made available by INEC but it still carries little weight. It's simple technology supposed to make things faster. It's just like scanning a certificate and uploading online. The original certificate/results have been received during collation. All party representatives like Dino Melaye and co were there at the collation center. They ALL know the truth and the results. If you watched, the INEC chairman asks them every single time if there was any comment, objections or problems. Nobody had a problem with the numbers or results, they know it is correct and signed by their agents. They only played sore losers by attempting to cancel the collation. It's a case of I didn't win, so let's make nobody winner for them. If they had any grievances with the results, they would have stated it with facts right there. But they decided to stage a walk out and make conference statements. The logical path that is next is the judiciary or tribunals, not their threat to burn down the country or incite violence. |

Besides not all states results would be ready at same time.
There should be no excuse here, as more than enough money were allocated for the job.
Moreover it is done once in four years. That's pointless and meaningless. nnamdi640: Nobody is being fooled, as long as the result was not uploading immediately, manipulation has set in. Only an 8 year old should expect results to be uploaded immediately 100% in Nigeria. What new thing or plan works 100% at first try in Nigeria? What initial deadline is ever met successfully in Nigeria? Like i said earlier, all party agents have the results. If it doesn't tally with what they have and signed, they are very free to go to the tribunals. IREV is not yet uploaded 100%, are you reasonably saying there should have been no physical collation till now? Maybe next week, they should start and announce winner? All these results are announced publicly at ward level and state level before it was taken to national level. It's unfortunate most of the folks on social media are first timers and don't know the process. That's why politicians find it easy to play on your intelligence. |

BVAS is for accreditation of the voters. iREV is just uploading something online. It is not superior to the physical collation of results. All 36 states RECs and the FCT REC must physically present results for a decision to be made. This has been done and it is that simple. IREV is like telling a company or school your qualifications online. The collation is physical presentation and verification of what you say that you have. Collation is superior all over the world, and reasonably so. Anyone can be anything online. |
