If hell was actually real, most christians, including the ones here would end up there with the same atheists they despise, because right now, none of them can actually tell me they're free from any sin. In verse 26 " it says let us make man in our image" . It didn't say create.

Then in verse 27 it says " So God created man in his own image".

I am quoting this verses to prove to you that the word made as used in the bible means to create or form.

It is very evident in verse 26.


Except there is another way to understand your own bible

Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Apparently you forgot this verse in less than 6 hours or you have selective amnesia. God created and made. These are not a play of words or joke, they are words with meaning and differences in the original.

I want you to look at verse 25 and 26 and tell me how the words "make" and "made" means assign or delegate?

Then proceed to verse 27 and compare to were the word " create" was used.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

i have clearly shown you that two different words are used in the account, and that with purpose. You should do well to ask nicely instead of shifting goalposts up and down. We are talking about the sun and the moon and how the Bible does not say they were created but MADE(appointed). Man was created and appointed. Everything basically was made, because they have purpose. God appointed them or made them for a specific purpose. So there is nothing strange about God making(appointing) beasts, plants, and whatever else. there is no error in translation. It is your questions that birth the explanations of the words(original).

Read the last sentence and understand it.

"HE made the stars also"

There is no twist here. The Word for create is "bara" while made is "asah" Asah means to appoint. Do a simple study.

Pls pay attention to verse 16.

Then explain to me the difference between "made" as used here and how it differs from "create"

You should rather pay attention to this verse.
Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

The word "created" is deliberately used in verse one and conspicuously missing from the passage you quoted. Also see the below.

Create is more of origin and first time. Made as used in the verse is to assign or delegate. This is kindergaten, i hope you guys don't disturb me further on this simple stuffs.

Sabbath simply means rest or day of rest. Sometimes in the Old Testament, they had week of rest or even year of rest. The day of rest was observed by the Jews on the seventh day. Christians observe their Day of worship on Sundays. Worship is technically every day though, but practically, churches meet to worship on the first day of the week. Every day is the day that the Lord has made. If you like, worship on Tuesday or rest on Thursday. What God wants from you is faith and holiness, not calendar debates.

There is no significant difference between what happened on the first day of creation and the fourth day .

Except God made a mistake on the first day, why repeating what he has already done?

On first day...he created light and separated it from darkness. Then called the light day and darkness night.


Then fourth day created another two lights which he also named day and night.

How does this add up?


For we know that majority of the light that reaches earth comes from the sun. And at night, the light from the moon is a reflection of the sun's light.
There is another type of light which is the light of stars which is insignificant to us.


Now my question to the original poster, where is the light God created on the first day if the sun (the light responsible for Day and night) was created on 4th day?

The Bible does not say that the sun or moon were created on those days. If i recollect, it says they were made. They were assigned or re-assigned as it were. Do the remainder math.
