`am not here to
condemn any denomination but to reflect the mind of God as in the days of Paul the apostle.
Acidosis, if you have problems with any church, it'll be better if you write TO them. Seems that's what Paul did. I don't expect this from you, well. Do you see them urging you on? It's not what Paul did.

Someone's talking about knowing how many times Jesus mentioned tithe. Did He mention it. It's not a question, don't bother yourself. You're already overbothered already. Next we go hear how many times Jesus mention offering.

I look forward to that version of the Bible as it may enlighten us more on what scripture truly teaches.
A version that adds to or says what God didn't say? No. Here is the erroneous version again.
cor 7 makes it clear that if the unbelieving departs the christian is not bound he should remarry!

You see, here was Paul, face to face with natural disasterS, not a fault of his. He just survived a storm, and he was trying to make some comfort in the cold, and here comes this beast and fastened to his hand. But he shook it off. And you can shake it off.
The trial, the discouragement, the bad news, the evil report, the danger before you and yours. You can shake it off by faith. You know what, Paul could have just fallen dead suddenly and gone to heavenly glory, but he stood, and shook it off. You will shake it off. Don't give up, don't feel any harm. Help is coming your way. Protection from on high. God honours faith. He will deliver you. Only believe.

July 28 Acts 28v5

5. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

We live in an age of distress, violence and calamity. Actually, that's the bulk of news. Those are the headline catchers. Deaths and earthquakes and storms and plagues. Stealings and epidemics, insecurity and poverty, these are what surround us. They've become normal.
How many people are touched or shocked to hear about 20 people involved in a motor accident, or 300 victims of a fire incident. How many shed a tear over the thousands that die because of a natural disaster in far away Wxyz. Yet in all these, God's protection is still available for us.

what can you make of a book with missing 17 pages?
The author says the book is complete(Genesis to Revelation) and does not need an addition or subtraction. Do you read the Bible at all?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Missing Years Of Jesus by Image123(m): 9:41pm On Jul 27, 2010
You ought to understand that Jesus is the very Word. He needs not write no book for He is the book, the Word made flesh. And all that we need have been penned down for us. How well have you taken advantage of that which is written. Why do people search for what is not lost. Before God, some things are more needful than others. He has given us what is needful, make do with it.
David didn't have up to what we have. Barely can it be argued that he had up to 1Samuel, yet he used what he had. What would we say of Abraham and of Job and Isaac. These people would stand against many in the day of God, for they made good use and were content. You seek what you don't know. You have Moses and the prophets. Do make use of it.

so that information was inserted in the bible out of boredom, uh?
I don't think so.
Every Scripture passage is inspired by God. All of them are useful for teaching, pointing out errors, correcting people, and training them for a life that has God's approval. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work
Tell me something.
Alright, alright, alright. Don't do the stephen on me already. Let me quote the passage for you. duh

If i'm going to tell you about the difference between the soul and the spirit, i'll employ the help of the Bible(the human manual). Are you perfectly okay with that? And i believe you'll agree with me that the body is different and seperate/seperable from the spirit?
You don't want, need or have interest in an afterlife? Tell me, how much your wants, needs and interests effected your partaking in THIS life.
Don't fight facts, accept the GIFT of eternal life.

You may need to read or re-read 1Corinthians 7. It's addressing all believers not just leaders.

Do you realize that an hypnotist can make almost anybody experience these same emotions without any religious symbol, image or incantations.

Also pastors, priests, etc can duplicate these same emotions in his followers after prolonged periods of programmed suggestions.

So everybody can experience it, it depends on context.
My points exactly, except that i'm adding that the body, soul and spirit are three seperate and seperable entities. And that when the body dies/seperates, we've all got to deal with where our souls and spirits will be in the afterlife. That's why God really really becomes impurtant. How prepared are you for the afterlife?

God has no use for any man who is not hungering and thirsting for yet more of Himself and His righteousness. A preacher always loses out when he gets his mind on finances. I am never happier in the Lord than when I am in a bedroom with a sick person. God would move nothing in an atmosphere of mere natural sympathy and unbelief. It was a time when I would not have “No,” and God said “Yes.” The devil can stand all the comfort you like to give him. Cast him out! You can do nothing of yourself, but He that is in you will win the victory. When the devil is manifesting himself, then is the time to deal with him. Before God could bring me to this place He has broken me a thousand times. We must be covetous for God’s best gifts, and say Amen to any preparation the Lord takes us through, in order that we may be humble, usable vessels through whom He Himself can operate by means of the Spirit’s power

People seem to experience these emotions ONLY because  these beliefs and experiences are carried on because of the fear and guilt that has been instilled upon the believer. . . .Once you feed your mind with certain thoughts you get certain results, nothing new there. . .Its all about staring up and evoking specific kinds of emotions and letting  the emotions you have evoked to take control of you. . . .
I do not disagree with the above quote, except that you didn't answer my question in the post you quoted, and also that it isn't ONLY fear and guilt or beliefs that may make one to experience an emotion. Like i said, anyone can experience an emotion. It's part of our makeup as humans. We all possess souls. Anyone can laugh or cry, just than some are more naturally prone than others. But it can be enhanced, produced or developed in ALL. Again, where will you spend eternity, seeing that the body is just a house to your soul and spirit.

I don't have much knowledge about the man in question or his exact situation/circumstance, but i think you're discussing on christian divorce and remarriage. To start with no true christian will divorce, and no true christian will remarry while the spouse is alive. That's Bible. Thank God its in the NT. We'll have started hearing lecture about the Law. Now its grammar about legalism. A christian keeps God's commands or He is not a christian. It is that plain and plain.

Music to God involves instruction in the songs of the Lord, being specially trained. Listen again, we all need instruction, special training, transformation, not conformation to the world, in the songs we sing.
The songs of the Lord, they are not any and every song, the songs of the Lord. The songs of the Lord are spiritual, the songs of the Lord are with grace, the songs of the Lord promote/provoke righteousness, NOT licentiousness/lasciviousness.
You need to begin this training, this re-instruction, this transformation, this renewing. If you will sing forever in Heaven, you want to get used to it here on earth. They that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Have you?

July 25 1Chronicles 25v7

7. So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the Lord, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.

Music is the easiest and most common expression of worship. Music is what the angels do. In other words, music is angelic. For those who have truly given their lives to God, their music should also be given to God. A song writer puts it this way 'Take my lips and let me sing, always only for my King'. Now that is giving. That's real commitment.
When you say you've committed your life to Christ, it's more than a laissez-faire profession. It's a sacrificial confession. This is tantamount to reasonable service. Music sent to God is a determination. A choice to rejoice. It's more than feeling like, or being in the mood, it's more than when such instrument is available, or this style of music is filling the air. It is above talents, cunning or skill.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Everyone Born With Original Sin? by Image123(m): 1:18pm On Jul 24, 2010
You may likely ask why, what have i done, why's He coming to judge me? Good question, but regardless of the answer, it's more important to acknowledge the judgement AND look for a way of escape. That's wisdom. You know, you may be told why God wants to judge the world and still be judged/condemned. You may even produce a defence for why you shouldn't be judged and still be judged/condemned. You may even be ignorant of the coming judgement(but you're not) and still be judged. But you cannot ask for mercy and still be judged/condemned. Jesus promised saying whosoever believeth will not perish, and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out. All you need to do is come. Whosoever confesses and forsakes his sins will have mercy. God is a God of judgement. But He's also a merciful God. His mercies are tender, and they are for now. Judgement is for later. We can all escape God's judgement now.(Romans 8v1).

We're all on earth together, but there is hope. There's hope in this world and hope in the afterlife. This hope is Jesus. Ever heard that song, 'my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus'? He's the hope of the hopeless and the hope of the nations, the hope for our generation. Jesus is more than religion. Actually, pure religion before God involves keeping oneself unspotted from the world(James 1v27). The world is plagued by sin, sickness, judgement, sinners etc as i've mentioned before. Jesus can save us from ALL these. Like you asked, He can save us from the wrath of God coming on this world. That's why pure religion keeps itself unspotted from the world. The world is condemned and under impending judgement. Only Jesus can save from it. Take for example, someone wants to deal with you, and He's stronger than you. It's wise if you could connect to a relative of his who could pacify him on your behalf. That's what Jesus does.

As Paul reasoned of righteousness, self-control and God's coming judgement, Felix found himself wanting. His conscience pricked him, he weighed himself inadequate and unprepared. All good/okay so far. But his response let him down!
He postponed, he procrastinated. How true, procrastination is a thief of time. In this case, it not only stole time, it stole life, eternal life from Felix. Nothing will steal eternal life from you in Jesus' name. Lay hold on eternal life. Felix looked for a convenient season. I don't think a convenient season ever came. He was privileged to hear evangelist Paul, undiluted word of God exemplified. He did not take his chance. Please take your chance today.
Now. For now is the accepted time. Another season/time may be rejected. It may not come again. Only believe. All things are possible. You can be truly and fully saved now. It's in you.

July 24 Acts 24v24,25

24. And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. 25. And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.

Governor Felix seemed a good man. He was referred to as the most excellent governor Felix. Some of his men even considered him a just judge. He was even called most noble, and doing VERY WORTHY deeds. He was acceptable it seemed, He even had one wife. And she was a jew(Jewess). He seemed to have a relationship with the God of covenant, and good thing, he sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
Is this not a very good 'testimonial'? How many people are this impressive? But all our righteousness are as filthy rags before God. He did not have Jesus, the one thing that is needful . Fair enough, he called Paul, and heard about the faith in Christ. But he did not have Christ.

You see the advice above by a fellow believer? But lemme take a risk on you sha. I hope it'll be a 'good risk'.
Firstly you can't argue from the Bible just at your convenience. There's nothing i've said above that isn't rooted in the Bible. Your picking out parts that seem to favor your line of reasoning wouldn't aid you. Your opinion is irrelevant, you don't even believe the Bible. Acts 4v12(neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved). Ephesians 2v9(not of works, lest any man should boast). You need to check up on some of Jesus' titles/names in Isaiah 9v6 for instance.
Only Jesus the Messiah can save.
In what way, exactly?
John 14v6(Jesus saith unto him, I am THE way, the truth, and the life: NO MAN cometh unto God, but by me).
Rebirth goes way way way beyond just believing.
Acts 16v30,31(sirs, what MUST I do to be saved? And THEY said, Believe on the LORD Jesus Christ, and thou shalt BE SAVED, and thy house).
Being born again is not spiritual upgrading, it's a NEW birth, a conversion, the gif of eternal life.

Emotions are displayed even by olympic medalists when receiving their medals. Please read my post with the pix in mazaje's post in mind and save me the long preaching.I was reffering particularly to religious emotions.
The problem is that they find it difficult to think out of the box and understand that there is a general principle involved and that what they experience is not exclusive to them.
It's not exclusive to them, then it's particularly about them. What side of the fence are you on? Which one be religious emotions? Is it crying or laughing? How religious can emotions get?
