Most men "outgrow" their women as they are fending for the family, and "working hard". The woman too works but in a different way. If a couple look after themselves physically, emotionally, healthwise, etc they will grow old together and beautifully. The reverse is also the case. If paying rent and other bills, is a struggle, no chop money and other basic amenities, no amount to age difference will stop either party from looking older than they are due to the stresses of life.

I had my real picture all night and just took it down this morning. My current profile picture is a wonderful work of art, , Black art. It is not to be viewed in the context wth which you have viewed it. It says a lot. But it is a shame that all you see are the naked bodies.

I have to admit that in the UK, we have only 5 terrestial channels and those that care and can afford get Sky satelite but you hardly see such cases of watching too much TV. Well, we have to pay TV licence so we actually have to get off our butts and work.

I met quite a few americans who had never gone OUT OF STATE for any reason. They live, marry, populate and die in the town of their birth, never mind having a passport.

The average UKer is more likely to move around due to work commitments, moving to less expensive counties etc, therefore, travel both IN and OUT of the country. I am sure there has been lot of media coverage, although of unfortunate nature, about brits getting into trouble while on holiday.

It depends on what type of technology you are talking about. How can a country that co-developed the Concorde, not have the necessary technological prowess. What is working in favour of the US is the large population. Like you mentioned, the UK is an Island, a small one at that. I doubt Bill Gates would have been as successful if he was based in the UK, same as the reason a lot of artists want to crack the US, that is where the population is.

By the way, when next are the US going to be asking for more troops for the "coalition led war" . I thought you guys were capable by yourselves.

Let me start. The UK actually "knows" a lot of the outside world since they travel a lot too. We know and interact with our "neighbours" both friendly and otherwise. Dont forget we are part of the EU, Commonwealth and other world bodies.

I have been to the US several times, and while the places i visited where all right, i always longed to come back to the UK.

Yes the houses are much larger, probably as Americans are fatter more flashy and like more space.

In terms of style, London is much on the scene as much some parts of the US. A relative of mine keeps saying to bring him "proper" shirts. We are not talking 5 for $10 like you guys have over there.

Someone mentioned it is difficult to get jobs. Maybe if you don't have your papers. Changing jobs is not difficult, it depends on what you want and how ambitious you are.

I also prefer the transportation system here. I have been lazy with driving here, which is not that easy, but at least i still get to move around. In the US, without a car, is without a Life.

People say health insurance is "free" in the UK, they forget it comes out of the 22% taxes they pay or will pay in the future.

Entertainment is a bore here and most people don't have a life as they are working morning, afternoon, night and if possible to have more than 7 days a week, some people work till they drop because of the almighty pounds. I don't think there is much point working soo hard to take of the royal family, prisoners, and those people on benefits because they refuse to work.

Safety in the UK is almost now a thing of the past. You could walk around anytime of the day and night and feel safe, but now, even during the day, the so called "youths" are more feared than the police, since they can't be touched if they are below 16, except the commit violent crimes. In that regard, the american hardline on crime is better. At least criminals, if caught, will know they will spend a considerable amount of time behind bars.

I could go on and on. But i guess we all have our preferences. The UK is a small island, but almost busting from recent immigration from all and sundry.
