Health / Re: Beautiful Kenyan Lady, Monny Muthoni Commits Suicide (photos) by IME1: 6:21pm On May 15, 2022 |
She died because she said she's bored and the world is a cesspool Sadly there are people with this view. If you know anyone like this please tell them, Life is not boring. Just wait till you know your purpose then you'll wish you have more time on earth. The world is not a cesspool. The world also contains beautiful babies, loving grannies, handsome dudes and beautiful ladies. Or have you not seen the sun set and flowers, beaches and mountains? What about technology? Oh so you don't know that flying cars are being developed and a hotel was built below the earth inside water? When people choose to only look at the rapes, wars, tribalism, poverty, strikes, accidents, rituals and heartbreaker they lead themselves to the highway of depression, indifference, cynicism and eventual hate (which can make one a mass shooter or suicidal. Do you know some people kill others thinking they are saving them from a broken world! and some commit suicide because they feel they are helping themselves numb pain or deal with a situation. Imagine if a pregnant woman decides to commit suicide because of labour pains? Wouldn't you say she's not wise or patient because such pains are temporary and when she behold her baby she will even forget the pain). I pray God grants fortitude to those e left to remeber this Kenyan woman. May God be merciful to her soul, amen 1 Like |

haslaw: Dear Haslaw, I commend your equitable approach and fairness. I condemn the killing of Deborah too like you. But, There are no Christian extremists. There are no bad Christians. We can have fake Christians and Church goers but by that word alone you can't be an extremists. The word Christian came from Antioch when the people in the society saw the believers of Jesus Christ and called them Christians because they behaved and acted like Jesus Christ. Since Jesus would not have killed or insulted, anyone who does that does not represent or exemplify Him. Do you know Haslaw that those who go about insulting Muslims and Islam also do same to Christians and Jesus Christ? They are not Christians I kid you not. They are fence seaters or church goers at best. They swing any way. They can be traditionalists tomorrow and attend Jumat today while they were in Church or a beer parlour yesterday! For example when you hear of reprisal attacks in communities in Taraba, Benue, Plateau or other places even in the East, it's not Christians versus Muslims. In Taraba for example it may be Fulanis versus Jukuns. But since Jukuns are mostly not Muslims and Fulanis are mostly not Christian, you conclude that it's religious. Do you know that they are Muslim Igbos and Christian Fulanis? It's very offensive and wrong for you to say Deborah and her murderers are alike. Please delete it. Why? When you see people complain about NEPA, GLO, NNPC, ASUU, Buhari and other things does it make them the same with these things and people they complain about? If you Haslaw have ever criticised Buhari or your own state government does that make you a killer, assassin or worthy of death? Buhari is someone's father. If you insult him does that give Yusuf justification to order a fatua or hit on you? Deborah criticised, complained but she shed no blood she didn't even incite. Haslaw you'd be surprised that they were other Christians in that WhatsApp group but did you hear that she incited them all to condemn? It was her personal opinion and she was wrong. But she did not deserve to die. She was wrong only for using the word nonsense. I schooled in the north for my PG and I was in a WhatsApp group. But the lecturer/admin/Muslim never allowed religious messages especially from the Muslims who were predominant. Do you know that it was the Christians that used to drop barka de sallah to greet fellow Muslim students? That's harmony not necessarily live and let live. Those Christian students didn't have to drop such felicitations, but did out of love. There's no doctrine of live and let live. The only doctrine is love. Would you live and let live if you knew Rev King or those religious people who killed, made human sacrifices and made their members eat grass and drink bleach? Would you? If you would then you have no love for you don't care that a religious sect in your neighbourhood is killing fellow humans who are their members or foes. Finally, Haslaw in all all all honesty, not even mentioning the ones in public like El Rufai and others, but who blasphemes more? Christians do not for these 3 major reasons - 1. Because they know Muslims can kill them for that, but the reverse is not so. Do you know any Muslim that has been killed for saying Jesus and Mary Magdalene had a sex.ual relationship? Did you see the crowd that endorsed Da Vinci code? Even among the fake Christians. Did you read what El Rufai also tweeted? 2. Because Christians know they serve a big God. We can't fight for our God, we can't feed Him, make Him great, shelter Him or describe Him completely! He's a might God, the I Am, the Omni, the Almighty Creator, God of powerful angels and Commander of fire, rain, hail, lions, locusts, armies of men, heat, flood, snow, moon and sun, and even time itself. The God Who can cause a standstill. How now? Any body claiming to fight or kill for this God is a fake Christian. 3. Because of our belief. We are told to love and do unto others what they should do to us. We are told to be seasoned in our speech. We are told not to curse but bless. We are told that even the great angel Michael in battle with Satan didn't curse but rebuked Satan. We are told that our tongue can set the world on fire so we should control our tongues. We are told that we should preach Christ Jesus not hate, not bigotry, not fear, not murder. If Christian clergy should teach your view on live and let live, HASLAW what should your Muslim clergy also teach? When you point, 3 fingers point back to you and one is covered! Salaam 3 Likes |

Gwan2: I kid you not Gwan I've always wondered what would happen or what the Holy Spirit would want me or you or others to do IF we ever face attack or threat. Jesus put back the ear of Marcus who Peter had removed with a sword. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. I believe our weapons are not canal but mighty through God. I've heard people fight evil with just speaking and declaring the Word of God and I long to be that kind of person. I believe we must exercise our faith in Jesus in all circumstances. This is a glimpse of how FIRM, UNBIASED, DETRIBALISED, HUMANE Atiku can be if He is president That's a father's daughter That could have been your daughter's teacher That could have been your mother's daughter in law That could have been your sister's bestie That could have been your son's employer But you see, there lies a charred corpse, what people call remains. But that's not from a gas explosion or plane crash or oil bunkering gone wrong, or a thief caught in Jankara market... That's a girl who wrongly used the word nonsense but was never given mercy to apologise. I apologise on her behalf. For if you use that word for my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ or our Father our Creator God, I shall not strike a match, but silently pray for your mercy. But alas God Himself shows mercy on whom He will, and what if He doesn't show you? God is the God of justice and vengeance, but what if He chooses to strike everyone of those who killed Deborah dead or He chooses to use them like He used Paul of Tarsus? What about those who have used worse words for Jesus, Mary, David, Moses, Abraham, angels, Elisha, Isaiah, Peter, the Holy Spirit and our Creator God? Those in politics, In movies In cartoons In series In songs In jokes In slants In exclamations In books In comics ... and here on nairaland? What do we Christians do? What would you non Christians expect us to do or fear we would or could do? What would our actions or inactions result in at the end? Would you want a reprisal in the south? Would you want sanctions from the Western world? Would you want mass exodus of Christians from the north and boycott of businesses and products from Muslims? If truly you think, do, and say what you would want another to do, say, and think about you, you would think before you think, say or do to others. It took a split second thinking for people to carry stones to want to stone the adulterous woman in the gospel according to John, cause they were 'righteous and kissed off by such immorality and shame and sin of the woman. She must die, the book said so, Moses himself wrote it, and they believe it's an instruction from God Himself. So we moveee! But Jesus bent down to write, to draw, to make patterns, to play with the sand. And it took a split second for them to truly think when they heard, 'those without sin cast the stone' and without their initial aggression and self righteous and lack of mercy and a forgiving spirit, they took a look at the older ones and they threw down their stones. The adulterous woman who truly had sinned, offended the law and could have been killed, WAS FORGIVEN AND GIVEN A SECOND CHANCE! But not Deborah who used the word nonsense! May she rest in peace and be buried with dignity. May there be justice for Deborah and may Muslims, Christians, Others like Hindus, Buddhist, Trail, Have Krishna, Eckists, Traditional Religious Worshippers, Atheists, Free Thinkers and Agnostics and others not INSULT, USE DEROGATORY INNUENDOS OR REMARKS on anything religious whether their own or others religious beliefs. 1 Like |

I'm saddened by this This is not the first time. While I can NEVER support the disrespect of religion, I want to tell fanatics that any random person in trying to cause problem can just lie and say some said something against your religion when the person never did, and you just go ahead and kill the person. They never read Othello or heard of Iago. People can lie but when that person is dead, she never be brought back when you hear the truth. To think that I once stayed near that COE in fact those who know Sokoto know its proximity to The Government school Farufaru May she rest in peace, amen. May her family and loved ones know peace and have fortitude. May those like Saul while in sin who consented to the killing of Stephen, who sit behind their devices and support this dastardly act and those present who joined in the instigation, killing and burning of the security post know that God is the God of justice and vengeance belongs to God. Jesus said pray for your enemies and those who hate you, so this is my prayer - They shall not die, like Saul they shall be converted to Paul, and become useful in the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, They shall receive justice and face the wrath of the law, They shall know no peace on earth but rest in peace if they repent and die in Christ, They shall hear the cry of her blood and the tears of her loved ones, They shall bear the task left behind that she couldn't bear, They shall see death and know remorse, They shall rise against likeminded who kill as religious fanatics, They shall use the remainder of their lives and resources to preach peace, harmony and salvation in Jesus Christ, In Jesus name, amen 3 Likes |

Someone does recreational cocaine and heroine on top acute asthma and you treat him and discharge him saying his condition was deemed 'uncomplicated'. The man is suicidal and is jogging down a slippery slope. The same route many many young Nigerians are towing. Are you reading this and you are indulging and engaging in a careless lifestyle? You smoke all sorts, drink all sorts to stupor, sleep randomly with strange men/women with or without condoms, binge on video games, TV, social media and lounge all day with no direction, purpose, eating well or even bathing? Then it graduates to boredom and attracts masturbation for temporary pleasure and serenade to sleep just for a little while? Bruv/Sis you need help, you need love, you need the mercy and grace of God, boy/girl you need Jesus @ mods mynd44, and co there are many fantastic topics getting lost and swallowed in new, recent and trending, but this is the second crappy story on masturbation you are pushing to fp. Fear God Tomorrow is Easter and like every other day, let's reference it and live with common sense and piety 8 Likes 2 Shares |

One of the things my father never played with was our walking over soakaways. Some are inevitable even in my own house. Rest in peace to the man. Fortitude to his family and friends. In civilised climes, the government will pay heavily to the family. It reminds me of the man who also died while they were fixing the lifts at the High Court in Benin, I hope his family too was heavily compensated? It's only in Nigeria where there's danger ahead and relevant people don't put signs, reflectors and barricades. A big shame. A man left home for free medics and got death. What a wasted effort for a well meaning citizen. He didn't choose the state or country. It can happen elsewhere I agree but not this callously. Evacuated him after 4 hours ogini? Make I go another thread jor. Nigeria matter eh walahi... 1 Like |

"After all i have done for my protegee, he ought to accord me respect and listen to me", the leader thought to himself in his private moments. "I have been loyal enough, and i deserve to retain this exalted position for myself", the lawyer protegee soliloquised. The die is cast. A crack is created. With the unrelenting supporters of both men, the crack became a schism. With the latching in of people of other ethnicities, the schism became a chasm. Yoruba land becomes the epicenter of a political war between 2 brothers that were once confidants. No, i write not about those you think. I write about the great leader, Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo; and his protege - the teacher, the pastor, and a cerebral lawyer, Ladoke Samuel Akintola. These issues happened exactly sixty years ago in 1962. That fight, ended the glorious years of yoruba people being the ones ahead of other ethnicities. In contemporary Nigeria, the golden years of the yoruba people was between 1952 and 1959. The years Awolowo was premier of western Nigeria. Those Were the years of our firsts - First Television station, Rediffusion, First Modern Secretariat, First Housing Estate- Bodija Housing Estate established in 1958, First Stadium- Liberty Stadium, First Dual Carriage Road- Queen Elizabeth-Secretariat Road, First Teaching Hospital (UCH) etc By the time the brouhaha settled in 1966, Akintola's daughter had been killed. Awolowo sent to jail. Many houses burnt, and a coup that took the life of Ladoke Akintola. The visionary leader never got there till he died. The Cerebral protegee died trying not to leave there. We lost our regional leadership and even lost the regional governance. All because a visionary leader and a brilliant protegee didn't sit to reconcile themselves. The ideological difference? Awolowo wanted an alliance with the igbos, Akintola wanted an alliance with the hausa fulanis. Both sought alliance with others, but couldn't achieve an alliance between their own selves. Sixty years later, Another visionary leader, another cerebral protegee who is a teacher, pastor and lawyer. A leader with the strength of the grassroots, a protege with the strength of the Federal government. Foot soldiers on both sides egging both on, in derisive manners. Would the Southwest lose out again? May afflictions not rise a 2nd time. In line with the music of Hubert Ogunde that he released 60years ago and was banned, i repeat,..... YORUBA ROO'NU O.. Reflect, O ye of Yoruba Ancestry. Hmmmm, ọọrọ l'ẹyẹ n gbọ oooo, ọọrọ l'ẹyẹ n gbọ oo, ẹyẹ o deede ba loo'le ooo ọọrọ l'ẹyẹ n gbọ o *copied 1 Like |

Thinking Nigeria, But... God Does Not Author Confusion. A 14 year-old cannot be admitted into university to study, but a 13 year-old can be married. A school certificate holder cannot become a director in the civil service, but a school certificate holder can become President and commander-in-chief of the entire country. The country is among the major oil producing countries in the world, but it imports the fuel it consume. The country has the highest number of foreign doctors in the UK and America, but its leaders travel abroad for their medical needs. The country shoots armless protesters, but hold peace parleys with bandits, kidnappers, and terrorists. The country rehabilitates terrorists, but their victims languish in refugee camps. God did not create any country. He located human beings in different territories and gave them all empowerments to survive. Whatever they turn out to be is entirely their choices and decisions. UAE and Qatar are deserts converted to paradise. Nigeria is paradise converted to hell. Nigeria is epitome of confusion, and God is not the author of confusion. Yet, we can right the wrong. It's our difficult but surmountable task. Yes, We Can... *copied On election day, God willing, as in other years I'd walk to my polling unit and cast my vote as the Spirit leads. I'll do my part. Dear nairalanders do you have your PVC are you going to make the effort and go and vote? Do not be an online warrior or street and newspaper stand wailer, take action and put moves and steps to your mouth and words and vote VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE whoever you are led by God to vote for. Even if it means voting against your father, mother, brother, sister, inlaw or town's person or fellow religious person. Enough said oh... I don go another thread... 1 Like 1 Share |

this period we have to be careful what we believe, hear and read. Some politicians thrive on divide and rule. Some use propaganda. It could be Tambuwal today but who knows who it would be tomorrow 1 Like |
