We no get light oh |
Cococandy, Ishilove, Poccahontas and co 1. That Christians say that Jesus is the only way, truth and life doesn't mean we are saying those who don't believe this are doomed. This is a topic for another day. Our belief is based on the word of God that's why we are Christians. You can't be a Christian and not agree with the word of God? That means your claim to be a Christian is on a faulty Word, premise or doctrine. 2. If you truly like what you read about Jesus and that since you were born into a Christian home, you've chosen to remain one then accept it fully. Bisi Alimi was probably born into a Muslim or Christian home, I don't know, but he doesn't believe in either presently. Maybe cause neither supports homosexu.ality 3. Christianity is not in competition with anyone or faith. There's no christianisation agenda. When they built schools and hospitals and others, they didn't force their faith down anyone's belief. Read about Holy Arousa, Qua Iboe and establishment of schools in the north. There is a Christian message and you take it or leave it. Anyone forced into Christianity can never please God, for without faith you can't please God. It's a personal conviction. That's why it's common among the Yorubas and a few other tribes to see in one family - Cele, Muslim, Catholic, Winners, Deeper life and Olumba Olumba... they all choose their personal paths 4. Christianity is against the meaning and position of all the letters making up the LGBTQI+ There's no one among them that is condoned or tolerated by God. God didn't make them so. God made them man and woman. 5. Further to this Christianity is against fornication, adultery, paedophilia, sodomy, incest, BDSM, and all their extended families and in laws. No room for them. God doesn't weigh adultery as being lighter than homosexu.ality or paedophilia. They are all sexual sins. 6. Furthermore, se.x between married couples is lawful but not all se.x between them are permissible. The issue of ana.l and or.al sex which is common among gay.s is wrong. This also applies to heterosexuals who engage in them, be them married or not. This is story for another day. I'll tell you why, because I've heard "Christian" marriage counsellors say once married, couples can do whatever "karma sutra" tells them! What abnormally. Karma sutra that is an Indian god abi goddess how does it relate to the Christian faith or marriage practise among Christians. So in the name of marriage a woman can tie her husbands neck with chain or the man use wipe because they want to get kinky and spark up their 'love' abi 'married' life... ewww BDSM and real scars and pain and no senselessness... kinky ![]() 7. LGBTQI and all their additional alphabets is a pride movement like KKK and not a civil rights movement as was the case of Mandela, Martin Luther king jnr or Malcolm X. Pride movements are rebellious movements. They are hydra headed monsters that give birth to more demons. Whether neo-nazi, white supremacists or boko haram - they are all rebellious movements. LGBT will eventually lead to agitation for siblings to marry, mother to marry son or father to marry cat (ands it has already started) or lowering the ages of consent for se.x. yes it was on NL fp that a report showed that when a man was caught with a girl, the girl said she liked it and she asked for it. Her consent as a minor doesn't make it right. Age for consent is 18 years in many countries. Consent doesn't approve homosexu.ality and disapprove paedophilia they are both aberrations, mental abnormalities so says their mental health textbooks and common sense. When our Lady Park refused to sit in the back of the bus during the civil rights movements, it was not rebellion but assertion of a LAW REMOVING SEGREGATION THAT HAD BEEN PASSED. She was merely enforcing it. It's just like walking on a zebra crossing even if cars refuse to stop. Person fit die, but na your right. That's why the Bible says wisdom is profitable to instruct. 8. This brings me to the tolerance and misguided tag of homophobia by people like Poccahontas who run with it. Wisdom is profitable to instruct. I dey Nigeria, when I go Canada I go know how I wan waka for street if I see 2 grown men or women kissing. It's their law and they have been given the right, but is it right? If I kick against them I'd be accused of being a law breaker and trampling on their rights. That's where wisdom comes in. Like the LGBTQI which have gone through legislation and court judgments, those of us who kick against homosexu.ality should do so by the law backed with prayers and fasting. We must support same sex prohibition laws as was passed by GEJ. Martin Luther King and Mandela and even Ghandi never used violence, hatred or lewd talks to fight the enemies. I can never support killing, abusing or victimising homosexuals. I won't let them into my business or be in theirs doesn't mean I discriminate, it's me exercising my choice. Just like my biological uncle whose policy is not to employ relations. Mind you the guy na billionaire. His choice... tolerating homosexuals is not accepting them or advocating for their rights. It's doing what Jesus will do. When Jesus met the adulterous woman He didn't stone as He was sinless, but told her to go and sin no more. Not wanting to be with them is not homophobia we no dey fear them, phobia na fear na awon woke people. It's us not wanting to be unequally yoked. Trust me there are many Christians who cut off from adulterous, fornicating and paedophilic people when they find out their status! ![]() 9. Finally for now I've stayed in Hamdala Hotels way back in the 90s and I saw Koran, I didn't leave. I have stayed in a hotel in Calabar (I don forget the name), I saw Bible. I wanted to leave the room. Why? Because the previous lodger must have been a chimney. The smell of cigarette was intense. Look at BBN house na, no be Mercy and Ike they read bible under duvet? I no watch am oh but na for highlights NL dish give people like me wey no fit watch such. So Bible, book of Mormon, Awake, Daily manna, rhapsody or Koran being in a room doesn't automatically convert somebody. God does in His own way and time.We all have our prejudices and beliefs. I'm prejudiced against tribalism, assassination, corruption, oppression and sexual immorality but I can never hate the persons. As long as they have life, they have hope of salvation. I've my belief, I'm a Christian, not a fanatic, not denominational or confrontational, but I do hold the teachings of the Bible absolute. I'm aware that translations have evolved and adulterated the Word but God has helped us in knowing the truth. This truth has set me free for this life and assured me with a promise of the life to come- eternity with Christ Jesus. A number of NLders have died with or without our knowing. Some we stop seeing their comments. At that point, it won't matter what naptu, lala, izzou, righteousness, jesusjnr, fati, zzor, slaw or manna said. It will be you and your fate. With this reality why should I be chained by arguments and debates by NLders who are also on their own pilgrimage through this life. I just pray that we all here be counted among the saints, amen |
Seun warn your mods on the kind of topics they push to the greater readership on front page. What's the meaning of this nasty topic? These are the fake and malicious people masquerading and pretending to be Christians in their vain attempt to ridicule the Body of Christ and stand against the Kingdom of God. It is offensive to we Christians. I'd be also upset if this happened in any other faith. If it's in Hinduism or Buddhism it will be equally offensive as it stands to ridicule. Farting is a natural consequence of passing gas in the process of the digestive system. Please let's respect people's faiths. If someone is using the Nok terracotta in a demeaning way we would rise up against them. If someone is desecrates the Osogbo groove many will rise against it. If someone calls the adire or kente materials ugly we will rise against them. There is a limit to "everyone is entitled to his opinion." If you don't agree, will one be entitled to abuse or curse you or your relatives or children because he or she is entitled to his opinion, freedom of speech or right as an adult? Please let's all be guided. Mods, Seun and the op ![]() Meanwhile happy Easter to everyone |
MansoryMX:There is no country that can take we the innocent Nigerians. We are many. Imagine we leave this country and the Fulanis or whoever takes over our lands (while we are still alive oh, cause they no dey die for property matter), we would not have achieved anything by running, except saving our lives. But sometimes in saving our lives we lose it. Even when some people stand up and wade these intruders off, they only go back to reinforce and return even deadlier. It's heartbreaking that scores die every day from unprovoked killings just because some militant group is doing pre-war attacks. I doubt anyone here in NL saw or was fully aware during the civil war. Those who were in the north and west didn't feel the heat since the east was the place attacked and the south was the launching ground/battle field- Asaba, Calabar and co I pray we don't see war. Instead I pray the present crop of political leaders at federal and state levels just leave the scene permanently and new leaders with dedication, integrity, plan, honesty, courage and patriotism take over. Anyone not pushing for these qualities in a leader is only asking for the vicious cycle. If voting for an Igbo person will make him appoint and develop only his side, I'd rather not vote or vote Sowore and that says a lot. |
Nobody has been able to tell us why there are more checkpoints in the East than in any other part of Nigeria. When I used to travel to the East a lot between 2005 - 2010 there were so many that I even dared recording with my phone then. I was even seen by one police man but our bus was already moving away. Now when I did Zaria - Funtua and Kano - Abuja, around 2008 - 2009 I didn't notice police checkpoints there were almost non-existent The way police harass in PH, Benin, Warri or places like Awka, you'd wonder if it's the same police that you'll never see harassing those up north. For the west it's in between. Some place the police are civil and not many, like from Ekiti - Abuja via Akungba, Lampese and Okene, at least around 2015 - 2017. Also from Ore - Ikirun, you hardly see police harassing buses. Even within Lagos I stand to be corrected, I hardly see police checkpoints I don't support killing of policemen. They are not all bad and the bad ones should face the law. Extra judicial killing of bad police puts the killers on the same level with the bad police they set out to kill. I recently helped a set of police jump-start their official vehicle and they were surprised cause I saw them and volunteered. They don't seem to receive good or good wishes from the public often. I once represented a Charity Group in my area and walked into the station and gave cash support to the police station via their senior officer. My relations who were police people died in duty- Maiduguri and Benin, but I don't judge them evil. They have children. Those police who have cruelly cut down the lives of innocent Nigerians and extra judicially killed the guilty ones deserve judgement by the law courts (not mere guard room) and then mercy from God for their souls. I went to observe the EndSARS tribunal in the state where I am now and I was really sad hearing all the atrocities police people have done arrogantly and deliberately on poor citizens over the years- killing, maiming, raping, framing and stealing from them. It was pathetic. What was more pathetic was the police lawyer I saw there trying to justify the police. In my mind I was like must he talk |
This is serious I pray the pilots fate will be known and positive |
It may be mere shoes But buying or desiring one pair is you contributing to the finance and advancement of the kingdom of darkness. The devil has a united kingdom of evil people and demons, fallen angels. Our Lord Jesus, whose dying for our sins to destroy the works of Satan we celebrate today warned us. He said he who has ears let him hear. How can beelzebug be divided against itself? The kingdom of Satan requires manpower and finances and dedication like every other organisation or organised crimes. When we play their songs, love their actors, relish their quotes, excuse their marketing strategies, trend their stories elongate their threads, talk about them, keep up with them, follow them as fans, desire to belong to them, read their books and materials, hinge your life on their devices, hate others because of them, ridicule the Holy Bible to please them, blaspheme the Holy name of God to feel among, treat with levity God's instructions to look woke, wear their designs, market their products and tolerate their nuances we SUBTLY and INDIRECTLY support their kingdom Watch And Pray Not just for eternal life but for your everyday living. My dear brethren watch and pray please I beg you. Do not in any way gum body to the things of Satan oh. There is no middle ground, you are either marked with the seal of God unto salvation and eternal life Or Marked with the sign of the beast, the devil. No middle oh. It's today oh, take the decision this minute oh I beg. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and renounce Satan |
I've a thought The People from the north are travelling all over Nigeria and are likely to register to vote in Ebonyi, Ondo, Taraba, Edo, Ogun and all around the country. The president to be needs 2/3 majority vote from around the country. If the north decides to unanimously vote for their brother, they can win due to their number, underage voting, fictitious number and herd mentality or bandwagon approach to things that fulfil their prophecy of born to rule. But the constitution says 2/3 so they are going to fix that by being in the southern parts so they can register and vote here to get their 2/3. Just a thought. One thing every other Nigerian can learn from and about the north is their sagacity, political alertness, chess mentality and transistor radio listening. They know politics, forget. Kudos to them. Bad as e be they are good at that. I pray Nigerians be at peace with each other and/or embrace reality |
9jaRealist:I agree with you, but... Many people are still leaving Nigeria PERMANENTLY in droves Professionals, artisans, talents, technocrats, sports people, entertainers and students My dear friend is going at the end of this month |
![]() I need help in understanding something about Ministries... I beg is Amaechi not TRANSPORTATION minister Why focus only on railways since 2015 to 2023 I can't understand Besides aviation which has its own minister What are Amaechi and Saraki doing about waterways, roadways, kekeways, okadaways and other modes of transportation? Whereas road transport system is in 100% of Nigeria and policies can affect the entire country, Railway system affects and benefits only a small part of the entire country. So at the end of his tenure Rotimi and Gbemi would have affected the lives of very few Nigerians Meanwhile Join me to pray against the third next level column, it is serious. Many things are already checked on that list. For instance bread in N500 and cement is over 4k
|
Thank God Meanwhile let's pray against this next level column There's no country that can take us all, not even Canada oh Nigeria is what we have got Let's save it I beg May the super eagles win See how patriotic they are They didn't have to come play for Nigeria, they are rich, popular and engaged in clubs, but they came back

houseontherock:But this is terrible now We have .... SON, ministry of agric and others who are to check quality of what we consume now My goodness see the fine looking mango I ate yesterday the taste was not like what I grew up eating. I don't know what is happening but we are not eating too quality foodstuffs oh not to mention processed food like spaghetti, indomie, minerals, sardine and all May God help us |

thank God for the gift of today and the safety through the night.I heartily congratulate and celebrate with one of our own Wally Adeyemo on his new appointment. May he represent himself, his immediate family, his new country and his fatherland well in Jesus name, amen. This is fantastic news |

moneyissweet:I'd have said stale, dry or some other thing you intended in your post, but hey I can't be like you...Positive energy, joy and peace is what I'm about and what I wish everyone I look forward to a time Sambisa and Borno will get back their glories, peace and safety and guess what? I'll visit them by God's grace. Question is, would you be bold enough to accompany me ![]() |

![]() Never heard of FUNAM I pray Ortom is not killed or anyone who speaks against evil from any tribe whatsoever Know that anyone who speaks your mind and you don't support, and gets harmed for that, is like you're wishing harm to self. For instance if our voices can't be heard and we also stand against banditry and herdsmen attack which Ortom stands against and he is hushed, it's like we too will be hushed if our voices ever get heard. So also with physical harm. Pray for Ortom, pray for Nigeria, pray for our leaders, pray for our individual safety please ![]() |
I expected as much Do you know Elon Musk built a school just for his children, so they can learn what he wants them to learn? Not home schooling oh, but his own school for them?! So many of these rich people have islands just for the same reason, to have their own land with their own laws! I'm never a fan of Jack or Donald, but the end of this issue will tell between them, who's got crowd and clout ![]() |
Emmbanny:Amen and you too, amen! |
@adanny01 @Businext Exactly, all jobs are important. I once greeted a man 'good morning sir' then his driver passed behind him I said again 'good morning sir' the oga looked at me and was like how can you greet me and my driver the same way. But I said ah sir, your driver is not my mate nor my driver, I've to greet him with sir too. The man realised that that man who he demeans as a driver is someone's uncle, father, even boss kpakpa... he may have a shop where he has an attendant he pays or even his personal car he gives another person to drive for him. So he too na boss So please let's not look down on any job, salary amount or location of work. People have to work in Dutse as they do in Ikoyi, they have to work in Ughelli as they do in Abakaliki so op pray let God direct you please.Meanwhile any one you reject, help link a NLder here to take it up as they are some who'd be glad to accept the job offer you're rejecting please. Thanks in advance |
I deliberately did not read anyone's comment so I can make a clear opinion. There is so much hate. No wonder you hear how a passenger will fight with a conductor over N20, the same N20 he can dash a beggar on the street. The same way a woman can kill another woman just because her man flirts with her. The same way a cult boy can kill his blood brother who belongs to another cult. The same way an entire building can be razed down because the owner is of another faith! Building oh! Paint, roof, fittings, labour, cement, all, gone down! Love is not a bad thing oh, let's live and let love. I went to public schools right from creche to the apex of education in different parts of Nigeria, my beloved country. I've had the privilege to teach and I've taught Muslims who wore hijack and it didn't bother me, I didn't even take note cause I see people not what they wear or who they are, be Buhari's child, I'll treat you like I'll treat a civil servant's child. Be you my tribesman or church member, you would be treated the same. All my years in public school I never had my Muslim classmates and schoolmates wear hijab. They wore headgears at best. Even at a time they were Lebanese in my school, they were not allowed either. Also the female Indians were also not allowed to leave their hair long, they cut them like the Nigerian females in my school. The sky didn't fall. It is a school. After school anyone could do whatever, wear mufti if you like. Uniform was so strict. Please we all know the issue is not hijab, it's just an entrance to ferment more trouble. Please someone should tell me how the hijab issue was resolved in ISIbadan and ISLagos? These are public schools. Mind you in my time in the Polytechnic, Sokoto state, (not as their student though) I noticed the non-Muslim females also covered their hairs. I've seen Muslim students in Anambra, Delta, Ondo and Ekiti cover their hairs. That means that wherever they are they are not "forced" to be like their hosts. But Christians are sometimes forced to dress like their hosts. This shade of Islam is not what we grew up with. Many agitating for these extremism in Islam don't even follow the 5 pillars of Islam or read or know the tenets of Islam. They just listen to anyone who calls himself sheikh or imam and get wrongly indoctrinated. This also happens in Christianity where people who have not opened their Bibles begin to shout and talk falsehoods anyhow that 'my pastor said! my pastor said!' I tire. Ilorin my place, please don't let me run away from you ![]() |
when I watched the debate I felt sad for Abaribe. The way the 2 chambers work is that lobbying, party interest, tribal and religious interests hold sway. Now Abaribe may have a very good motion or bill, but where he doesn't have any of the above mentioned, he would have no support and the erstwhile bill or motion will die. (Sadly his eastern people have no bloc, unity or ideology to pursue or preserve. Abaribe usually stands alone. Without recourse to his personal past or tribe, try listening to some of his motions and bills and you'd see that he makes a whole lot of sense mostly.) When it became rowdy, the press were asked to leave for about 20 minutes. When the press returned, Abaribe announced that he was withdrawing the bill totally. Whether he had been bullied, threatened or mocked I don't know. But people like Abaribe who may have good, dispassionate and genuine bills should be able to sleep well at night knowing at least that they tried. Somethings are just not worth fighting or crying for. When Lawan asked for the voice vote and the nays had it, I just realised that many people in the Senate are just there to add numbers to the destruction of the country. As an aside we all know that children below 18 years in the north are registered by INEC and eventually vote on election days, thereby increasing the numbers needed to win. So also politicians who plant their people in key positions (eg Jaga, IBB and Hau/Ful) and their followers (the ones moving on top of trailers) in different areas are doing so when it's time to vote, support or get a general opinion from every nook and cranny, they will get majority. Finally as an aside it is gravely insulting, annoying and ridiculous that whenever anyone here on NL says or stands against APC they are automatically tagged PDP or ipods. That's just callous and ludicrous to be civil. It is annoying that anyone who says the truth you don't like is your enemy. Many of us are not allied to any party nor are we Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo... live with it, Nigeria is greater than any one tribe or political party! |
Jesus’ presence in our hearts fills us with countless reasons for gratitude (Colossians 2:6–7). He brings the ability to live with purpose and energy (1:28–29). He cultivates joy in our hearts in the midst of all circumstances, in both times of celebration and times of struggle (Philippians 4:12–13). Christ’s Spirit provides hope to our hearts that God is working all things together for good, even when we can’t see it (Romans 8:28). And the Spirit gives a peace that persists regardless of the chaos swirling around us (Colossians 3:15). - our daily bread Say no to vices, evil and addictions They are many, trendy, attractive but DESTRUCTIVE Be them cocaine, marijuana, fornication, laziness, gluttony, Internet fraud and it's variants yahoo, yahoo plus, rituals, por.n, cultism, joining the occultic world, fake churches, Islamic extremism, gambling, alcohol (na from 4% e dey go up) and so so so many other things bedevilling this present times .May God help us and rescue the image of Nigerians and dissuade Nigerians from trans-border crimes, in Jesus name, amen |

JerkyChan:I agree with you the man did well for the airforce, at least from what NL kept pushing to front page oh. But I just realised that the difference between Boko Haram and the Nigerian defence as a whole is in Nigeria's Air power. Boko Haram to my knowledge have no air power or artillery to gun down helicopters or drones. The air force alone with less man power could have long ended this war if government is sincere. Sambisa big Sambisa big, na so we no fit use Air power do aerial surveillance finish them... shior Willy willy don die... ![]() |

A great man in the media industry, associated with Village Headmsaster, also an ambassador, born in 1935, though now late once shared his experience with his wife. He said she used to smoke so he too started to smoke so as to discourage her from continuing. But he said she didn't get the reversed psychology and didn't stop. She died long before him and kicked the habit even before her demise. His point was that, reverse psychology or joining a loved one do something to change them DOES NOT WORK 90%! ...sadly, your spouse may have a stronger and healthier body than you if you say you want to follow him or her to drink, smoke, club or other negative habits you weren't into before you both married. You may die before your spouse, he or she may eventually stop and for you, paradise lost While smoking and drinking may not be regarded as outright sin, their effects on you may lead to sin and definitely debilitating health which in my opinion is sin against your 'possible' length of life (you shorten it by your own hands when you have the habit of smoking and drinking alcohol 5%, 10%, 15% alc. vol). Lastly, adultery is a sin before God and offence in law. It must never be subtly or out rightly encouraged. Be satisfied with your husband and wife. You had a choice. You had time to choose. You had options. That condom can fail and he bring home to you an STD, STI or love child not to mention the reign of kaya mata... HE MAY NEVER COME BACK HOME TO YOU. Sir Pete Edochie you are still respected by me sir, but on this sir, i vehemently disagree, your advice based on the reverse psychology may prove fatal, ichie |
