Happy birthday to her and others celebrating today

Let it go for 2021
There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you: let them walk.
I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you,
loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying
attached to you. I mean hang up the phone. When people can walk away from you let them walk.
Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left. The bible said that, they
came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us.
For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]
People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not
joined to you, you can't make them stay. Let them go. And it doesn't mean
that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is
over. And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so
that you don't keep trying to raise the dead. You've got to know when it's
dead. You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell you something. I've
got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye.
It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God
means for me to have He'll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I
don't need it.
Stop begging people to stay. Let them go!!
If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was
never intended for your life, then you need to ...LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and pains ..LET IT GO!!!
If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth......LET IT GO!!!
If someone has angered you ... LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge ... LET IT GO!!!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction ... LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents... LET IT GO!!!
If you have a bad attitude...LET IT GO!!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better... LET IT GO!!!
If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him... LET IT GO!!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship....LET IT GO!!!
If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves...LET IT GO!!!
If you're feeling depressed and stressed .... LET IT GO!!!
If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying "take your hands off of it," then you need to... LET IT GO!!!
Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new
thing for 2021!!! LET IT GO!!!
Get Right or Get Left .. think about it, and then LET IT GO!!!
"The Battle is the Lord's!"

With the presentation of the original BA certificate, WASSCE abi na WAEC and others, can we rest now?

Imagine Courts functioning 31st December and even adjourned to 4th January which is a public holiday?

The lawyers are spending their holidays without their families and keeping the court officials at work
All because of political chess and 2023 alignment

I shake my head for whoever losses in this legal battle

A Christmas To Remember

This is a first-person account from a mother about her family as they ate dinner on Christmas Day in a small restaurant many miles from their home. Nancy, the mother, relates:

We were the only family with children in the restaurant. I sat Erik in a high chair and noticed everyone was quietly eating and talking. Suddenly, Erik squealed with glee and said, "Hi there." He pounded his fat baby hands on the high-chair tray. His eyes were wide with excitement and his mouth was bared in a toothless grin. He wriggled and giggled with merriment.

I looked around and saw the source of his merriment. It was a man with a tattered rag of a coat; dirty, greasy and worn. His pants were baggy with a zipper at half-mast and his toes poked out of would-be shoes. His shirt was dirty and his hair was uncombed and unwashed. His whiskers were too short to be called a beard and nose was so varicose it looked like a road map.

We were too far from him to smell, but I was sure he smelled. His hands waved and flapped on loose wrists. "Hi there, baby; hi there, big boy. I see ya, buster," the man said to Erik.

My husband and I exchanged looks, "What do we do?" Erik continued to laugh and answer, ""Hi, hi there." Everyone in the restaurant noticed and looked at us and then at the man. The old geezer was creating a nuisance with my beautiful baby.

Our meal came and the man began shouting from across the room, "Do ya know patty cake? Do you know peek-a-boo? Hey, look, he knows peek-a-boo."

Nobody thought he old man was cute. He was obviously drunk. My husband and I were embarrassed. We ate in silence; all except for Erik, who was running through his repertoire for the admiring skid-row bum, who in turn, reciprocated with his cute comments.

We finally got through the meal and headed for the door. My husband went to pay the check and told me to meet him in the parking lot. The old man sat poised between me and the door. "Lord, just let me out of here before he speaks to me or Erik," I prayed. As I drew closer to the man, I turned my back trying to side-step him and avoid any air he might be breathing. As I did, Erik leaned over my arm, reaching with both arms in a baby's pick-me-up, position. Before I could stop him, Erik had propelled himself from my arms to the man's.

Suddenly a very old smelly man and a very young baby consummated their love relationship. Erik in an act of total trust, love and submission laid his tiny head upon the man's ragged shoulder. The man's eyes closed, and I saw tears hover beneath his lashes. His aged hands full of grime, pain and hard labor - gently, so gently cradled my baby's bottom and stroked his back.

No two beings have ever loved so deeply for so short a time. I stood awestruck. The old man rocked and cradled Erik in his arms for a moment, and then his eyes opened and set squarely on mine. He said in a firm commanding voice, "You take care of this baby." Somehow I managed, "I will," from a throat that contained a stone. He pried Erik from his chest unwillingly, longingly, as though he were in pain. I received my baby, and the man said, "God bless you ma'am, you've given me my Christmas gift."

I said nothing more than a muttered thanks. With Erik in my arms, I ran for the car. My husband was wondering why I was crying and holding Erik so tightly, and why I was saying, "My God, my God, forgive me." I had just witnessed Christ's love shown through the innocence of a tiny child who saw no sin, who made no judgment; a child who saw a soul, and a mother who saw a suit of clothes.

I was a Christian who was blind, holding a child who was not. I felt it was God asking --"Are you willing to share your son for a moment?", when He shared His son for all eternity.

The ragged old man, unwittingly, had reminded me, "To enter the Kingdom of God, we must become as little children."
Religion / Re: December 31 Without Crossover Service.. by IME1: 11:28pm On Dec 31, 2020
Security to and fro is a major concern in anything crossover
Another is the issue of encountering drunk drivers and entitled vigilantes and security persons
Some can't drive at night and there's the risk of entering one chance...
Finally, as you leave your house empty, it's also not always safe

Jesus is Emmanuel,
He is everywhere
Those unfortunately on admission or taking care of someone on admission,
What choice do they have?

Remember most of April to June this year there was no physical church gathering,
So is that not enough lesson to learn that the church is us collectively and not a brick and block building
We are God's Temple and our homes are our first gathering unto the Lord.

Those of us staying alone (at least for now and hopefully lastly this 2020, as we pray for our own families by this time next year), we can still praise, pray and plan into the new year.
Remember Jesus spent many nights physically alone on the mountains praying to our Father.

Salvation is bliss

Leave human dogmas and traditions of men in this 2020 I beg

THE BEST GIFT TO GIVE.
-To your friend - loyalty
-To your enemy - forgiveness
-To your boss - service
-To a child - a good example
-To your parent - gratitude & devotion
-To your mate - love&faithfulness
-To all mankind - charity
-To God - your life
so let that gift be in you and give it out to all.God bless you.
keep being urself that you are. I love you.

I'm doing crossover in my house with me, myself and my Lord Jesus Christ.
This time last year I was in church singing Way Maker, over and over with men and brethren
But today I dey my house,
Wisdom is profitable to instruct.
I'm at peace,
There's light,
I'm grateful to God
I overcame in 2020
I'm in health
I'm debt free
I'm a recipient of grace
I'm privileged to receive God's mercy

Oh boy 2021 is good already
I'll sing into it and sing out 100 zillion times better

Thank You Jesus

Heaven's Grocery Store

A two minute read.......
Read this story, and follow the
recommendation at the end......

As I was walking down life's highway
many years ago
I came upon a sign that read
Heavens Grocery Store.

When I got a little closer
the doors swung open wide
And when I came to myself
I was standing inside.

I saw a host of angels.
They were standing everywhere
One handed me a basket
and said "My child shop with care."

Everything a human needed
was in that grocery store
And what you could not carry
you could come back for more

First I got some Patience.
Love was in that same row.
Further down was Understanding,
you need that everywhere you go.

I got a box or two of Wisdom
and Faith a bag or two.
And Charity of course
I would need some of that too.

I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost
It was all over the place.
And then some Strength
and Courage to help me run this race.

My basket was getting full
but I remembered I needed Grace,
And then I chose Salvation for
Salvation was for free
I tried to get enough of that to do
for you and me.

Then I started to the counter
to pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything
to do the Master's will.

As I went up the aisle
I saw Prayer and put that in,
I took a lot of OBEDIENCE
For I knew when I stepped outside
I would run into sin.

Peace and Joy were plentiful,
the last things on the shelf.
Song and Praise and Worship were hanging near
so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the angel
"Now how much do I owe?"
He smiled and said
"Just take them everywhere you go."

Again I asked "Really now,
How much do I owe?"
"My child" he said, "God paid your bill
a long long time ago."

This poem has been sent to you
with love and blessings.

The Suitcase. . .

A man died and when he realized it, he saw God coming closer with a suitcase in His Hand. The following conversation ensued between them:

God - Alright son, it's time to go.
Surprised, the man responded:
Now? So soon? I had a lot of plans...
God - I'm sorry but it's time to go.
Man - What do you have in that suitcase?
God - Your belongings.
Man - My belongings? You mean my things, my clothes, my money?
God - Those things were not yours; they belonged to the earth.
Man - Is it my memories?
God - Those never belonged to you; they belonged to Time
Man - Is it my talents?
God - Those were never yours; they belonged to the circumstances of your life.
Man - Is it my friends and family?
God - I'm sorry; they were never yours. They belonged to the path.
Man - Is it my wife and children?
God - They were never yours; they belonged to your heart.
Man - Is it my body?
God - That was never yours; it belonged to the dust.
Man - Is it my soul?
God - No that is mine.

Full of fear, the man took the suitcase from God and opened it. . . just to find out the suitcase was empty.

With a tear coming down his cheek, the man said:
Man - I never had anything
God - That is correct. Every moment you lived were the only belongings you had.

This is a great lesson. Life is just a moment - a moment that belongs to only you. For this reason, enjoy your time and use it wisely while you have it. Don't let any material thing that you think you own or that you are struggling to acquire stop you from doing so.

Air Commodore Vishal was a Jet Pilot. In a combat mission his fighter plane was destroyed by a missile. He however ejected himself and parachuted safely. He won acclaims and appreciations from many.

After five years one day he was sitting with his wife in a restaurant. A man from another table came to him and said "You're Captain Vishal ! You flew jet fighters. You were shot down!"

"How in the world did you know that?" asked Vishal.

"I packed your parachute," the man smiled and replied.
Vishal gasped in surprise and gratitude and thought if parachute hadn't worked, I wouldn’t be here today.

Vishal couldn't sleep that night, thinking about that man. He wondered how many times I might have seen him and not even said 'Good morning, how are you?' or anything because, he was a fighter pilot and that person was just a safety worker"

So friends, who is packing your parachute?
Everyone has someone who provides what they need to make it through the day.

We need many kinds of parachutes when our plane is shot down – we need the physical parachute, the mental parachute, the emotional parachute, the spiritual parachute & the Financial Parachute. We call on all these supports before reaching safety.Sometimes in the daily challenges that life gives us, we miss what is really important.

We may fail to say hello, please, or thank you, congratulate someone on something wonderful that has happened to them, give a compliment, or just do something nice for no reason.

As you go through this week, the rest of this month and year, recognize the people who pack your parachute.

I thank everyone who packed my parachute this year in one way or the other through your words, deeds and prayers.

Suleman walked over to his aeroplane. He was the pilot for the morning flight to the capital city. With his mechanic Bimal, they checked that all the controls were working. "All is good," called Bimal. When it was time to leave, Suleman pressed the starter switches for the two engines.

The propellers turned, but the engines would not start. After trying 10 times, Suleman climbed out of the plane and he and Abara checked all electrical connections. Still they could not find the problem. Finally, they checked the fuel. "Look at that!" said Bimal. "There is water in it." They had been sold bad fuel by a corrupt dealer.

It took them two hours to drain all the fuel from the tanks. Two more hours to find new clean fuel. Then they found that the engines had been damaged by the water. After the repairs, they finally took off for the capital city at 5 o'clock that afternoon. All this time, the passengers were waiting in the heat.

WE CAN'T FLY?
Our lives are often like an aeroplane that cannot fly. We know there is something wrong, but we are not sure what it is. We know that we should be able to 'fly' and be the person we want to be. But we have so many hurts, worries, and problems, we never 'take off'. Maybe we are trying to use the wrong 'fuel' to give us power.

God wants to heal every part of our lives. There is the shame we feel from bad things that other people have done to us. Sometimes these are things we cannot tell anyone about. There is guilt about things we have done. Often we pretend to ourselves that these things did not happen. Then there is the pain of losing friends and family to HIV-AIDS, accidents, or other reasons for death. We can fear other people, or evil spirits, or the future. Why is life so hard?

God understands and feels our pain and worry. He knows the things that hurt us, that no-one else knows. He does not want us to struggle on our own any more. He sent Jesus to show us the way to God. Jesus died to pay the price for the things we have done wrong, and to bring healing into our lives. Then he wants us to be his friends, and to use his strength instead of our own, to live new lives. It really is like flying!

This is good news.
Sadly my friend lost her phone to window thieves and she doesn't even want to retrieve the line.
The process is stressful.

Our world is full of dangers. Some things we cannot control, like the Asian
tsunami, or road accidents. But there are also times when we choose
things which put us in danger. "Do not open the mouth of a snake to see its teeth" is a proverb from the Basotho people of southern Africa. In other words, do not put yourself into a dangerous place. If you have sex with someone you are not married to, you are falling into many dangers including HIV-AIDS. The first time you choose a cigarette or take a dangerous drug, you are going down into a hole that will be very hard to climb out of. These things can take away your health, money, friends or your freedom.
Pressure by friends:
Very often we do these things, not because we really want to, but
because of 'peer pressure' - we do something because we are afraid of what
friends think about us. "My friends would light a cigarette and tempt me to
smoke, to prove I was a man," It was twelve years before he found a way to stop. In a dangerous world, we need God's help: not only for protection from
outside dangers, but also from our own wrong choices. Proverbs says that God's wisdom can "give people the ability to make good decisions." God can also give us the power to say 'no' to things that will hurt us.
"PEACE INSIDE ME, NO MATTER WHAT TROUBLES"
We do not need to live our lives alone any more - Jesus offers to help
us and be like a best friend or a loving parent to us. "God is so alive
and real to me. With him in control of my life, I have a peace inside me,
no matter what troubles I have," We can receive these things from God when we believe that Jesus has already paid the price for us to become his children. Living with Jesus is the best safe place to be. Proverbs 8.says, God, you
are a hiding place for me. You protect me from my troubles. You surround me
and protect me. So I sing about the way you saved me." Psalm 32:7

While she bagged her second degree from the Faculty of Education, University of Benin.

She was a staff of UNIBEN Demonstration Secondary School and a staff of NTA.

She taught English and literature.
She started the ministry with the Ehiametalors (Mrs Ehiametalor also taught in UDSS and her husband the then youngest ever to be Prof taught in Faculty of Education).
Although they went their separate ways and had their own separate ministries.

When she started Jesus Women, they used to wear a lapel.
Many other church leaders banned their members from wearing the lapel in their churches and even attending the non-denominational Wednesday meetings then.

Wednesdays used to be hot then, traffic, work closing early, big Marcopolo buses at strategic places to pick members.

Now there's a new Deborah in Benin and she's as popular and influential. She too has a women's ministry and has been made PFN chairperson in the state. In fact their headquarters are along the same road.

When her husband died she fought many battles about leadership. She went under for some time and relocated to Abuja. I can't say she really returned to Benin fully. On her return she became Deb'rah.

I believe she helped a lot of women draw closer to God. Sadly mostly of the Jesus Women members I know were not like her, but God knows them in their own standing.

When I received the news on my professional WhatsApp group last night I checked nairaland to see if it had hit the religion section, it hadn't, but I said I wouldn't want to be the one to form such a thread. I slept off hoping it would be a rude joke when I wake. But alas it's true. At 62 the world has lost Eunice Osagiede (nee Ojeme of Ewu).

A wonderful woman.

Graceful
Composed
Persistent
Submissive

Poised
God fearing.

I wish her family fortitude, I mourn with those who mourn her passing and celebrate with those knowing she's heaven bound according to God's promises to those who believe.

Remember 2020 still has about 23 whole days, pray to God to keep us safe, in health, in peace and under His will. His Will triumphs over wives, husbands, children, money, fame, health, education, food, onions, fuel, good job or good places of primary assignments.

No be efritin be prayer ......I really pity Nigerians any little thing una go begin pray

I lost an uncle this year, a very great man, the world lost Steve Jobs, churches have lost leaders and priests, families have lost children, offices have lost bosses, billionaire clubs have lost members...

These people had money, some also prayed, some didn't. But they left us in this world.

Some people who didn't have money in the past have had great testimonies of how they received healing from serious health issues that required lots of money they didn't have.

Some had money and didn't believe in prayers and their money couldn't provide the healing the best medical care they could afford.

If I have money, lots of it and I am ill, the first thing I'd do is pray, then find my way to the hospital if the Spirit leads me there - all for the glory of God, for its God Who has given medics the knowledge, skill and ability to tend human bodies.

I'm a testimony.

Most of late June through to early August I was seriously ill. I spent most of my days on bed.
Days I couldn't even pray while I lay there. I eventually landed in hospital on admission and spent 6 digits in the few days I was there. I was sad until a sister told me something very strong. She told me that God had a reason for me to be there and I should find it and truly I met and attended to some people, 2 of whom died after I'd left. I was told by a man among them who was discharged after me. What role did I play? For the little time I encountered those people, I ministered to them in ways they were very grateful to God for. Although they died, they received care the overwhelmed medics couldn't give before they passed. I also prayed for them and encouraged them.

But God answers prayers in His way. He may choose to heal or take them back to Himself afterall we would all go one day, whether sick or in health).

So
