This man dey make me vex.
Your own claims were not only distorted but were annoyingly false. You said the north voted you out for ethnic reasons, you said you wondered why you lost Benue and called Benue people "our people " You forgot that the north voted for you in 2011. The gospel truth is that no right thinking person voted for you and no amount of rigging would have made you win because you can only rig elections where you have majority support . Nigerians didn't want you. Some people voted for you because you were from the same tribe with them, some voted for you because they don't want a fulani man to become president, some voted for you because because you were of the same religion with them and a good number of these people were brainwashed into thinking that a Muslim will islamise Nigeria. Some voted for you because they were scared of going to prison. Besides this sets of people, no other person had any reason to vote for you. You folded your hands and watched while Boko Haram ravaged the north. Your government was "loot and go". You suspended and sacked whistle blowers, you used the army to harass political opponents. Nigeria earned more than she has ever earned under you but you guys looted the country into recession. Our army under you became a laughing stock. So Mr man, stop giving us your beer parlour opinion and face reality. It's a shame that you don't understand the politics of Nigeria after all these years in the political scene. Shame on you mr PhD holder. No wonder, you are called clueless!

It's easy to lie sporadically while under huge sentiment..... imagine you ignorant rascal saying Jonathan folded his hands and watched BH ravage the north..and that no sensible Nigerian voted for Jonathan.
To candid with you buhari won the election because they are more illustrates than literate in this country..where you are getting your skewed lies from, simply shove it up your ass .

HungerBAD:
Very interesting.

The DSS will not move against these Judge's,if there are no proof of them collecting bribes.

These are Judges, and not ordinary Nigerians. So for the Security men to publicly move against them this way, would show they have gathered tangible evidences.

The Judiciary is the most protected Arm of any Government, and I hope to God the DSS are sure of what they are doing.

If these Judges have been compromised, then the National Judicial Council should not only Debar them, but they should be jailed for a long time for bringing the legal system to a disrepute.

I stand with the fight against corrupt Judges.

--Modified-

Just read that Governor Wike, after hearing these two Judges were getting picked up,personally drove to another Judge's house in Port-Harcourt and prevented the DSS from picking the Judge up.

-How did Wike know that Judge will be picked by the DSS?

-What made Wike know instinctively that the Government will be interested in that Judge?

-Why would a Governor race in his Pyjamas(heard they brought clothes for him to wear later) to prevent the DSS from picking the Judge,if he has nothing to fear?

Summary.

I think the Judiciary has a very corrupt cabal, that sells Judgement to the highest bidder, and the DSS just rounded all of them up this night.

If it is proven that Wike, just like others influenced this Judge's with bribes to retain the Governorship seat, then his matter will be revisited by the law.

And I think that is why he ran nearly naked,to the judge house to prevent the DSS from taking him away.

I love the way you always live up to the billing! When ever you make comments, you don't fail to disappoint those of us who think you are a stewpid idiat.... I love how you reason, if this is your conception of democracy and rule of law, then you have some serious fundamental issues..wake up.

Politics / Re: Soyinka Urges Buhari To Dialogue With Militants- Daily Trust by IMEAN(m): 2:04pm On Aug 26, 2016
omenka:
My question remains; why have the terrorists suddenly become inclined to dialogue?? Didn't they say they could continue blowing things up until not a single drop of crude is exported from the region?? Didn't they swear to keep up their campaign until the economy is completely grounded?? Didn't they swear to tear down the walls of this building until Niger Delta Republic is granted them??

If my intuition serves me right, I'd wager the FG has landed a big prize in her military campaign and the cowards are jittery over the consequences of keeping up their shenanigans- shiit's most likely about to blow up in their faces.

Their propaganda appears to have lost a whole lot of traction with the revelations made by the breakaway faction and the arrest of some of their members (whose membership they of course denied), but I haven't the slightest doubt in my mind the captives must have been singing more than canaries in detention. Moreso, they've lost a lot of domestic support as it is becoming all too obvious who the primary victims of their idiotic activities are- they very people they claim to be "fighting for".

If the government decides to dialogue with them, fine, but the question remains- how many such groups would the government dialogue with today and in future

There is an old adage that says for peace, be prepared for war. First world countries have the kind of military capabilities they do not because they desire to go to war with anyone but because they understand the essence of having such structures on ground- it is the best deterrent to trouble makers both within and outside the country. As long as we don't upgrade our security armament to meet best global standard, this vicious circle of negotiating with one ragtag group of miscreants after another would go on forever!
Is it just me, or are you not aware that there's a difference between terrorist and militants.? That being said can you please direct your advise to your president. He is the one to take actions. No amount of nairaland advise will change that.

So this actually made it to front page....

Hon. Patrick, please comment here.

''thank you all, for giving me the privilege to air my singular view on this bogus figures. Yes, the figures are pregnant.

The facts from figures as depicted on the table here are in denominations, and I must say that bayelsa state seems too beautiful to surrender to the truth. Yes,!

It's audible to deaf and visible to the blind, that the deltans government are too gluttony towards the national cake. The people of the federal republic of Nigeria must not submit the peasant excuses of co-ordinate marginaliation, as always cried by the baby avengers.

In a more civilized society, where democracy is their sur name, the milky allocation which is been always attributed to the Bayelsians must be able to build a tower of the next world-wonders. I refused to accept the claim of avenging for superiority of resources. Not again, never!

To other states who also could not do enough, I must quickly say that it's a complete dismal action on their parts, which are regrettable in our political embryo.

The daughters of the Philippines, if you like, the citizens, should not rejoice over the figures because they are non accountable. It only shows that you already got your cake and have eaten them. not until the political father Christmas, who, in other words, referred to the governors, has decided to appear on the gown of true services, development will continue to remain a word, crested in dictionary.

I urge the Mr president of the federal republic of Nigeria, to work with the anti-graft able bodied agencies, who can smell and able discover a buried milk in the tummy our the authorities, who are recipients of the allocated figure.

Thank you for giving the opportunity to talk here. God bless the Nigeria Nation.

I thought you wanted to say something.
Politics / Re: Blogger Musa Babale Azare Arrested In Abuja For Criticising Governor by IMEAN(m): 3:44pm On Aug 21, 2016
omenka:
Lies meant only for the most gullible children of hate and anguish.

You people's attempt to launder the Buffoon's image towards 2019 is completely dead on arrival- the internet never forgets.

Check these awesome "freedom medals" won by "Freeman Jonathan":

1. Governors Forum Crises (2013): A lot of political pundits insist this marked the beginning of Jonathan downfall, forget his crass incompetence.

In a simple election involving 35 participants and two contestants, Jonathan's interference saw to it that this more or less political pressure group was fractured beyond redemption resulting in the formation of the PDP Governors Forum chaired by his stooge Godswill Akpabio and another faction of the forum chaired by his preferred candidate who lost in the contest, Jonah Jang.

The election whose video went rival at that time due to its outcome saw Amaechi pulling 19 votes while Jonah Jang pulled 16. Democrat Jonathan insisted Jang won the election and recognised him as the Chairman of the forum giving rise to the much publicised PDP arithmetics where 16 is greater than 19.

This set the precedence for the scenarios that played out in Rivers and Ekiti Houses of Assembly while our "Hero" stood idly by, giving a tacit nod to the obvious anomalies as state police were used to suppress the opposition.

www.punchng.com/news/jonathan-endorses-gov-jangs-faction/

2. APC National Leader Harassed by the Military: During the heat of the campaigns, keeping faith with their doctrine of hounding and intimidating opposition figures, Bola Tinubu had his house placed under surveillance by the military when he wasn't indicted for any federal offence. The national leader responded to this in a manner that set social media on fire, placing a banner in front of his house that seemingly pointed the military where they should be looking- Sambisa.

leadership.ng/news/411334/military-places-tinubu-surveillance

3. Journalists Harassed and Newspapers Confiscated: This was one of the greatest assaults on freedom of speech we witnessed under Jonathan. It was a crackdown reminiscent of the dark days of the Khaki Boys.

Hundreds of papers with publications critical of the government's handling of national issues were confiscated and destroyed. Same guys who supported the actions of the government then screamed blue murder when reports circulated the press that Buhari had barred AIT from covering his activities.

www.punchng.com/news/military-sss-seize-destroy-major-nigerian-newspapers/

4. APC Office Raided: This was another very dark day in our democratic experience and marked an upsurge in the use of state security agents to harass and gag the opposition. Under the guise of carrying out an investigation, offices of the opposition were raided with computers and other instruments confiscated and destroyed. It was one of the lowest points of the DSS and somewhat signalled its complete evolution into an arm of the PDP.

The DSS at a press conference displayed items "discovered" at the office during the raid and they were computers, hard drives and other electronic accessories- hell it was a data centre!! Were they expecting to find chopsticks and stoves

5. Buhari's Plane Barred from Landing: Another shameful incident where a plane conveying opposition bigwigs (then), including her flag bearer, on a campaign trail was refused landing rights in Makurdi and they had to return to Abuja. My question is, what if there wasn't sufficient fuel to take them back to Abuja as they made the u-turn mid-air?? Your guess is as good as mine.

saharareporters.com/2014/11/26/buharis-jet-barred-landing-makurdi

6. Protesters and Senator Shot in Rivers: Another gut wrenching incident that demonstrated the partisan nature of our security apparatus under ex president Jonathan. In a continuation of the government's crackdown on the opposition, citizens who were on a peaceful protest in Rivers state were shot at with live and rubber bullets and a Senator was hit twice in the chest. Thankfully, he
survived and a serious crises was averted.

www.vanguardngr.com/2014/01/rivers-crisis-senator-abe-shot-flown-london/

7. APC Women Protesters Teargassed: This was another horrid incident that demonstrated the ex president's disdain for opposition and civil liberties.

www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/police-fire-tear-gas-at-apc-women-protesters-in-rivers/

8. Jonathan Orders Withdrawal of Speaker's Security Detail: Arguably the most vicious assault on our democracy by the ex president. This much publicised incident that needs no introduction earned the ex president (and deservedly so) local and international disrepute and condemnation. People had started to see him as the worst civilian dictator in the country's history. If you ask me, this incident drove the last nail into the coffin of Jonathan's 2015 ambition.

It's constitutionally unlawful to retain your security whilst defecting to another party...that was why his security details had to be removed...now you won't blame amechi the governor of river state, for the harassment of women, you are blaming jonathan......buhari plane barred from landing hahahahahah nawa ooo, are you this paranoid?

I don't just know why some people are professional mischief makers. Why name your pet after someone's father? The easterners have to really get their priorities right. Losing election is not the end of the world. People have moved on, the easterners should learn to move on too. We all know why the lunatic named his pet 'buhari'. Of course he did that just to spark some ethno-religious crisis. And I ask, what will the fool achieve if people are killed because of trivial issues like this?

Everyday drug peddlers{majority of them are from the east}are arrested and prosecuted in various nations around the world. And till date I'm yet to hear anybody from that part of the country addressing such calamity or enlightening his people about the dangers of carrying hard-drugs to other folks nations. People will just focus all their energies on irrelevant things. Now I still ask again, what did the lunatic intend to achieve with this foolishness?

I also heard one other lunatic{residing in USA} have named her pet 'lia Mohammed' and some very sick people were applauding her foolishness. We all know how fragile Nigeria is and how some people tend to protect their religion and what not. What will people achieve by creating unnecessary crisis here and there? People are quick to accuse the northerners of being too prone to violence without accusing or calling out the instigators. Now every sane mind knows that some people will find naming a pet after buhari provocative and the sooner the authorities deal with that lowlifer the better for everyone. In USA people name their pets Lincoln, Washington, Obama etc and everybody flows with it. A neighbor of mine even named her female chihuahua 'Hillary'. But hey, Nigeria is not USA. We are a fragile nation with intolerant people. May God help us

I also hated that T.V Show, because anytime it came on,the only woman I have ever told I love you, will not come out because she was watching the show and I will be stuck with the mosquitoes behind their house, hiding from her Dad in the darkness.

The program taught us that the Rich have their problems, contrary to what the poor people think.

The story of Emeka Offor, should be a lesson to any sensible man. First, nothing lasts forever and that is why every man should be able to plan at least 20 Years ahead.

The second lesson is,do not tie your personal fortune to any political fortune or party. Do not invest in Politics as you will come out hurt,it is better the political parties spend their money on you,and not the other way round.

Two of my closest friends, invested heavily in Okowa to become the Governor of Delta State.

Today, both got SSA positions in Delta, and both have not recouped their money back, and their salaries is a Joke, and I still laugh at them even until this evening when one called to tell me he was planning on relocating Back to the US.

Both friends, like Emeka Offor invested a lot in PDP thinking Jonathan will win,and the looting will continue, but Buhari my man came to rescue Nigeria.

Do I pity Emeka Offor's financial situation?nah.

You do not invest in criminality, and expect a bumper reward. At a time this Emeka Offor was so Rich,I actually thought he was printing money in his house.

Today, lack of planning, lack of foresight, women, high life, parties, fast life, wrong investments and lack of common sense has turned him to Akin the Drummer boy.

StOla:

Why are some people so self-destructive, suicidal and craving for conflict and anarchy?

The Northerners did not misconstrue his intention. They know him to be a hateful Igbo, the likes of which vent their frustration and misery on this forum and other online media. Now an Ipob member who has forgotten he is not in Aba, has met his match in Buhari's tribesmen. Even if the complainant is claiming to have Buhari as his father's name / surname, it is evident that both defendant and plaintiff are fighting a tribal proxy war over President Buhari.

Can he name his dog Ojukwu or Azikiwe? Imagine a Yoruba man in Nnewi naming his goat Ojukwu, or a Fulani man in Aba naming his dog Nnamdi Kanu and parading it around the IPOB meeting centres? That is the suicidal attribute the Igbos are known for. Imagine using such a revered name in a community populated by Hausa-Fulani? Even if he had named the dog Awolowo, I know his Yoruba hosts may find it repulsive, but would not react violently, resulting in the boldness of the Igbo man who then concludes that Yorubas are cowards and are docile.

Since the Igbo man welcomes bravery and detest the peaceful Yorubas as weaklings, let him celebrate and enjoy the bravery of his Hausa-Fulani neighbours. It is stupidity such as this that was displayed by Igbos in the North, that led to their slaughter in the Northern pogroms as a Northern civilian reaction to the Jan 1966 coup killings of Northern politicians and Army officers.

However, whether the coward directed his friends of hate to eat up his own dog is irrelevant as no case exist here, talk-less of an implication. Nevertheless, the arrested man is safer in that police custody as his bigoted life will be wasted without a second thought, the moment he steps out of police "custodial protection".
We all know the Hausa-Fulani, they don't need to mouth hatred and beat their hollow chest to teach an equally hateful lesson.

See what hate has caused now? His days of peace are over in that community. Except he is released by the police directly at Aba, where his fellow bigoted clansmen will welcome him as a hero who had to runaway from Yorubaland because of Hausa-Fulanis who are his fellow settlers.

After his brain was reset at the police station, hear him declare eternal love for Buhari.

This Militancy started from Bayelsa, when Goodluck Jonathan was the Deputy Governor, and he introduced this settlement of these RiffRaffs when he became Governor.

When he became President, him and his militant kinsmen had an open season on Nigeria's treasury.

Goodluck Jonathan had one Key to the Central Bank, and Tompolo had the other one, while Asari Dokubo was the Gateman to the Vault.

Goodluck Jonathan knows these Militants, they have been peppersouping together from his Deputy Governorship days.

Arrest Goodluck Jonathan, and Militancy in the Niger Delta will die a Natural Death.

Chai ignorance is the problem of most Nigerians. Using you for money making ritual will be a waste of time.
