Hi, Once you have your BRP email, I will recommend if you are not too far from TLS center, try walk-in. There is definitely glitch in the communication/flow recently. Eg: @Justpat, I have someone who got BRP same day as you and has picked up passport earlier today, give it a try Justpat: |

Hi, Can you provide more context, so, we can advise appropriately? Any errors or have you rescheduled up to 3 times in the past? abeysticks: |

Hi, If you can read from page 1 here: https://www.nairaland.com/7267459/uk-student-visa-tier-4, most of your questions would have not only been answered, but you would read about different scenarios, examples, links, etc.. that will eventually give you solid step by step process info. Yes, as long as both are your accounts in your name or any of your parents', recommends to write a cover letter alongside to make it not complicated for Visa officer Didiama1: 2 Likes |

If this was your only concern "but my partner will be coming our kids later as they are unable to do a priority visa as the main applicant, I have to meet up with the deadline given by the school to arrive" I think you could have still responded YES to question on travelling together. Ideally, There is no priority for dependents but only MA, and since you as the MA did priority, Visa likely going to be out same time windows, then you can decide to travel before them and they join you later. (Unless case is not straightforward) However, If you cannot remediate that to add them, not to complicate things, can you not wait to have your Visa approved? Since it's Priority, then apply for your dependents immediately? @dduchess90 might chime in here fafaminji: |

TB Result validity is 6 months (required to be valid until Visa granted, but I recommend to have it Valid until you arrive PoE in UK, at least). So, applying to do TB test depends on when your study is starting. Are you for May 2023 or Sept 2023 batch? Republic001: |

Hull's CAS is quite quick.. could be within a week or two, once your deposit is confirmed. I'm assuming you have unconditional offer already? What program are you offered and for when is starting? Republic001: |

I helped paid for someone through same process (flywire) recently to Hull. Click that link, it will take you to flywire endpoint and you will see the rate before payment. You can set which country currency you want to pay with (left side) and it will do the rate conversion for you ahead to compare. I recommend to create flywire account before payment though, so, you can have historical receipts. Republic001: 1 Like |

To be on a safer side for PoF, let the fund be in student's account OR parent. Unless the sibling is recognized by law as the guardian. If you are paying directly though, eg: deposit or entire tuition ahead of CAS or Visa application, then, doesn't matter whose account the payment is from, as long as correct student's info used, school will recognize it and include amout paid in the CAS. In this forum, we are not associated or encouraging any PoF arrangement, if you do and caught, it attracts 10 years ban from entering UK, so, be guided. PoF is meant to be funds required for your study balance and maintenances when you arrived UK If you are asking genuinely on whose account the money could be kept, not bad keeping single account on MA account, especially if you plan to travel as a family and processing around same time. Amount required for each dependent is detailed here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/financial-evidence-for-student-and-child-student-route-applicants https://www.gov.uk/student-visa/family-members Michaelkatunge: 1 Like 1 Share

That is right, if Dec 3rd is included. Then, 30th is it dduchess90: |

You may use this to calculate, 28days after Dec 3rd, is Dec 31. Depending on circumstances, we've read stories of some folks who dont wait until the full 28 day calendar and granted visa, but if book is to follow, Jan 1, would have been the best but Dec 30 not bad https://www.convertunits.com/dates/28/daysfrom/Dec+3,+2020 https://convert-dates.com/days-from/28/2022/12/03 https://www.alarmdaddy.com/calculators/date/count/28-days-after-03-dec-2022 Pazzenjer: 1 Like 2 Shares |

@dduchess90 and others with practical knowledge on this. On visa application page, I see that one can start the process and come back to finish later, would ECO/Embassy count the date that the process begins with online account creation or the date when I have everything inplace and hit submit? Eg: if started login, upload some available documents Etc on Dec 15, but paid for / submitted on Dec 28, when everything is completed and PoF is matured per 28days rule. Appreciate if you have link to back this up for my further specific readings? 1 Like |

Let me chime in here from experience. Both of you are right and looks like you just have 2 different perspectives. The minimum basic requirement is to have X amount in your account as PoF, with this, whenever you print statement, it still shows your balance and you might have legitimate reasons not to keep the account transactional. However, because of level of frauds in Nigeria (I need not mention as you've all read some question about PoF here that we discouraged), so, If you have an account that is transactional (inflow/outflow of funds), it gives the account more legitimate reasons (Just incase of doubt), but this might not be practicable for everyone, as there are folks who were legitimately sponsored, borrowed or just kept the account for no-touch purpose to avoid temptations By the way, you guys are doing well in information assistance to your team/group here and I salute you. Hello experts and beneficiaries on this forum. I am a newbie here, a final year student about to write final semester exam for B.Sc Degree in Nigeria here. I will like to pursue higher education in Canada and needs concise information. Please note that, I'm aware similar issue could have been discussed on this thread in some time past, but with how lengthy the treads are, it is not easy to read all through, hence I will appreciate to have some summary to start with as I read more to get updated. Thank you all ahead of your help! |
