Christianity EtcRe: God Told Me Not To Cut My Hair — Pastor Jimmy Odukoya by immaculatesense(m): 10:06am On Apr 11, 2025
Sirmwill:
Exactly 🙂

How can we know if it is truly God
By seeing which fruits he produces according to Jesus.
The things he says, the things he does, his actions
What do they portray, what do they lead to, in the hearts and actions of people around him or people that listen to him
In that way, we can know.
Also, I really believe that Men of God are not people with the "Pastor" tag standing in the front of Crowd and telling them what is glaring enough in the Bible.
A man of God is anyone who has the heart of Jesus. The Heart of Perfect love
You are 100% correct sir. No addition, no subtraction.

Thanks.

If there is no clear cut difference between the people of God and the people of the world then there's absolutely a serious problem....

It's always crystal clear in the Bible.
God always warns his people to be different from the people of other nations.
Smile.
Our difference is in our lifestyle; the way we live and conduct ourselves. When it comes to dressing, it should be that a believer should cover his/her unclothedness. Anything beyond this is cultural which may be morally right.
Let me tell you sir, a well covered woman by Yoruba cultural standard is a half naked woman in Arab's cultural standard.

Thanks.

Feel free to "opininate". You have my permission
Smile. Just for the sake of scriptures and it's teaching. In 1 Corinthians 11:1-16; The doctrine of a woman cutting her hair and a man having long hair was a Roman cultural thing.
As you cannot criticize a woman cutting her hair in present cultural settings, you cannot accuse a man of having long hair because both were captured on the same rule which is cultural just like "holy kiss" still being practiced in Russian churches but against our culture here in Africa but it is culturally biblical.

Thanks.

Isnt that the whole point, so that people can just accept it and not opionate on it.
Or why do you really think he said this
That is why everyone will face God. When he does, God whom he has said gave him the go ahead will decide whether or not he told him that.
I do not even have issues with his hair. Like I said "it's a cultural thing" but him saying God told him "then he has made himself answerable directly to God." And for me to be fair to him, I will leave him to that God.

Thanks.
Christianity EtcRe: God Told Me Not To Cut My Hair — Pastor Jimmy Odukoya by immaculatesense(m): 2:02am On Apr 11, 2025
Though it is a cultural thing but based on Paul's advice, we must understand the cultural sensitivity of our environment.
But he brought another dimension into it when he said "God told him..." It became difficult to opininate freely on it like I would have loved to freely do.

Christianity EtcRe: Which Is It? High Priest Or Sacrificial Lamb? by immaculatesense(m): 8:53pm On Apr 10, 2025
sonmvayina:
It is really good to be back.

I was almost blind in both eyes, as I could barely see for the past few months. But thanks to the ingenuity and wisdom of the Indians. They came up with curative solutions to health issues..
I can see now

Just like my creator intended...Thanks to the creator forgiving them the wisdom and to the Indians for putting it into use .

My topic today is a very controversial one .can the J man be the sacrificial lamb and the high priest at the same time?
This is one aspect of Christianity that the adherents are too lazy to confront. But for me it is all bollocks and more lies from the Christian scriptures..

Any explanation?
Though you have concluded that it is a lie, so there is no need convincing you.
But you asked a question that begs for an answer and I will answer it whether it changes your mind or not.

The Jesus who died was the lamb.
The Jesus who resurrected was the High priest.
He died as a lamb and resurrected, but ascended to heaven has the High priest.

I won't explain further since you already concluded but that answers the question for those who are willing to know and accept the truth.
Thanks.

Kwara state governor is the son of the first lawyer in Northern Nigeria, Abdulganiyu FOLORUNSHO AbdulRazaq who is a Yoruba man from Ilorin West and was born in Onisha.

Please, do well to do your research.

Let me ask why Bible scholars never like anything that has to do with scrutinizing Bible stories ….. ‼️
Thanks you sir.
Since ChatGBT is your source. Why can't you ask and answer the following 5 questions then I may be we can engage.
1. Which one existed first. The EGG or the HEN?
2. How did humans come to being?
3. Was there a common language among the first humans?
4. Who taught the first humans the first language they spoke?
5. How do have different languages today?

Let ChatGBT answer these questions one after the other as I stated them and then we can talk..

Christianity EtcRe: Is It Biblical For Men Not To Wear Cap In The Church by immaculatesense(m): 10:52am On Apr 06, 2025
Love800:
Your comment made so much sense. I like guys who do critical reasoning. Many people will not still pay attention to this cultural and spiritual analysing that you just put!

I appreciate.
You are wlc sir.
The Roman cultural rules that guides a married woman to cover their heads in public places as a show of marital submission to her husband also guides married men that covering their heads is shameful and shows that they are submissive to their wives at home which is bad.
The Question is: What about women that are not married? Should they also cover their head as a show of submission to a husband they don't have?
In Indian culture, a married woman show sign of marriage by putting a read mark on their foreheads always. When you see that it shows the person is married.
In Western culture, it is a ring. When you see a ring on the finger of a man or woman, it shows the person is married.

So, it is more of a cultural thing and not spiritual.

Thanks

Christianity EtcRe: Is Jehovah Of Israel The Same As Allah Of Mecca? by immaculatesense(m): 7:53pm On Apr 01, 2025
MightySparrow:
Allah was being worshipped in ka'aba before the birth of Mohammed. How is that Jehovah of Israel?
Sir.
You need to ask yourself sir.
1. Did Job and Abraham serve the same God?
2. If yes, do they call him the same name?
3. If yes, what is the name Job called God?
4. What is God in Greek? Is it Jehovah?
Answer these four questions one after the other sir.

Take this as a case study in answering your questions because you talked about Allab being worship before Mohammad was born, which is normal.
In Yoruba land, God was called "Olorun" even before Christianity came and adopted that name as the sovereign God.
Will you say "Olorun" was an Idol because Yorubas have worshipped "Olorun" before the Missionaries adopted it?

Thanks.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Jehovah Of Israel The Same As Allah Of Mecca? by immaculatesense(m): 5:54pm On Apr 01, 2025
MightySparrow:
This question is a serious one and need serious answers from religionists from Abrahamic faiths.
Sir.
This your question is very simple, people only make it complicated.
Let me ask you.
1. What is Jehovah (God) in Greek language?
2. What is God in Arabic?
3. What is the name Hausa people in Nigeria both Christian and Muslims call God?

If you put these three questions into Perspective, you will know that God's name depends on Language and Location. It is still the same God.
We may be serving God diferently. Even within the Church (body of Christ), people serve differently.

Thanks.

It is not just a lie but a blatant lie, that's if he really said that and not that his words were misinterpreted

It is easy to know a lie this huge even though we were not present or have evidence against it but please ask yourself these questions

1. How much would Michael Jackson be offered in 1995
2. How much would a Football star be offered to play for top Europe clubs in 1995
3. How many Cassette would be sold to make profit, if a record deal of £24 million is offered to a Gospel singer in 1995
4. How much sales do Gospel singers make in 1995
5. How much sales did he himself made in that year to have attracted such a huge amount
6. How much of illuminati was in existence in 1995 to have wanted the Name Jesus Christ to be omitted or reduced in a Gospel song

If he had said Today in 2025, Yes it is very believable with no doubt, even though Gospel music is not that big
Those are possible variables that should be looked into. And you have made a very strong argument that cannot just be dispelled.
Only him can ascertain whether or not it is true. I doubt it but I can pass a judgement. I would only be preemptive.

I WILL LIKE TO BE MODERATE IN THIS CASE LIKE I HAVE ALWAYS DONE IN ALL CASES.

Christianity EtcRe: Who Should Get Paid In The Church by immaculatesense(m): 4:48pm On Mar 30, 2025
Scripturally speaking.
NOBODY should be paid by the church. Not the pastor nor the workers.

The only people to be taken care of by the church are the elderly widows and the extreme orphans with no hope or help.

Both the pastor and other workers should work or do business or invest to also help the above listed people.

Paul was a tent maker and no scriptures about being paid. We didn't hear that any of the apostles or early Christians leaders were paid.

Now, members in their own free volition may give willingly to appreciate these pastors and other workers or leaders. That is also acceptable.
They may also be catered for by wealthy members. That is also normal.
But to be paid from the church purse is not scriptural nor expedient.
Nothing like full time pastor. The work of God is full time generally and it did not stop anyone from working to support their family and the church.

So, the answer is NONE. Not the Pastor nor any of the workers working in any capacity.

Thanks.

1. Yes, Religion is a scam! undecided

2. You didn't define religion. Rather, you attempted to prefix it with ideas that are foreign to the world of men, ideas that have no connection whatsoever to the idea of religion that is of men, which the world has only ever known. It is kind of like comparing the marriage of men on Earth to Martian or Venusian Marriages — marriage on Mars or Venus. It does not change the facts of marriage on earth. sad

3. According to religionists, no man is holy or pure/sinless. This is like at the core of most all religions out there. All men are humans — ungodlike. Be careful you don't further contradict the tenets of the religion of men. grin

4. According to that book which you continue to quote ignorantly from, only men who have become holy/pure— without sin— can then go on to do that which is right according to the standard of the God in the book, the same God who condemned all religions that existed among men by the way. However, the core belief among the religious is that no man is sinless, hence all men are unholy and incapable of doing that which meets the right standard of God in the book. undecided

I am not debating the book but the reality of religion in this. grin
Okay sir.
What do you propose.
How should men live among themselves?
Should they just live anyhow because we don't want to abide by anything?

What do you propose sir.

Thanks

I am sorry sir.
You said religion is scam.
So, I defined religion for you.
You said the one practiced by impure people is a scam and I agree. I agree because whatever a scammer does is a scam.
But when a person practices or lives a life that is of good report before God and man. The practice of such a person is the definition of religion I gave to you up there.

I do not believe that you disagree with the fact that "whoever does what is right is indeed righteous". 1 John 3:7. Isn't it?

[27]Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

How is this definition of religion a scam sir.
We are not talking about professing a creed of religion without knowledge sir. We are talking about living a life that benefits other people. That is my own definition of religion sir.

Christianity EtcRe: The Bible Is The Only Legitimate Authority For Establishing Doctrine by immaculatesense(m): 7:16am On Mar 28, 2025
Good one sir.
Let me add.
The New Testament Scriptures is more than enough for a believer to live an acceptable life before the Lord.
The doctrinal mixture of the Old with the New will only bring confusion.
The believers should strictly abide by the New Testament Scriptures.
The Old testament scriptures is good for but it contains majorly the Culture of the Jews and how they should live differently from the Gentiles that surround them.
The New Testament Scriptures on the other hand harmonized how a believer (Jews and Gentiles) should live irrespective of their distinct cultures and languages.

The New Testament Scriptures is the constitution of the believers.

Thanks.
