MaxInDHouse:You are correct sir. I hold that view too. Jehovah is my God. |
MaxInDHouse:Max. I am sorry if I have disappointed you by not joining you to condemn him and that shows i am naive. I apologize. But I asked him and he said he believes in God, should I still insist he is an atheist? Will I redefine the meaning of the word so as to hang him? Contradictions? I am not afraid of contradiction in the scriptures because it is written by human and humans are not perfect. They are only INSPIRED, God did not hold their hands to write it. I would have only asked him. SHOW ME THE CONTRADICTION? When he does, I will explain to him why it may not be a contradiction as he thought. That's why the knowledge of the original Greek and Hebrew is important because most of what people call contradictions are just error in translation from one language to lanother language. |
MaxInDHouse:Max. You used *Jehovah* for Elohim in the original Hebrew. It means you agree that Jehovah and Elohim can be interchangeably used for "god" and they both mean "god". Psalms 14:1 [1]Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God (Elohim).” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! Thanks |
Truthseeker10:GO AND RESEARCH MY WRITE UP. THANKS. |
MaxInDHouse:An atheist is defined as some who do not believe in a god. Not someone who disagree with some things about his God. So, he is not an atheist since he believes in God. So, it is wrong to call someone who believes that there is God an atheist. Thanks. |
tctrills:I am happy to know you are not an atheist. Thanks a lot. |
Truthseeker10:I said I won't reveal everything to you sir. Go and research. Hebrew language is not an isolated language. El, Eloha (singular), Elohim (plural), Yahweh (specific) were all Canaanites semitic language in who Hebrew belongs and adapted from. Or who created the Hebrew language? Can you answer that? Go and research. Were the Hebrews the first to adopt the names El, Eloha, Elohim, Yahweh? Go and research. LET ME GIVE YOU A HINT. When Christianity came to Nigeria. The whites adopted "Olorun" for God in Yoruba, "Abasi" in the Iboms and "Chukwu" in the Igbos. Did these names begin as Christian names? Weren't they incorporated? Doesn't the name have their own idolatrous link? But when a person says *Olorun", do you link it with Idolatry or with God in English language. Go and look for my write up and read sir. Thanks. |
tctrills:Sir. I am sorry to mention you. Will you like to share your thoughts with me? What you believe and what you don't. Max claimed you are an atheist but I need to confirm that from you and not just take his words for it. The scriptures taught me that. Thanks. |
Truthseeker10:It's an assignment, go and research on my works. SIR. Just take note of this verse as you look for my write up. If you are lazy, you won't look for it and only read the verse and ask more questions. But if you look for it, you won't ask any questions and you will grab the gist. Deuteronomy 32:8-9 [8]When the El assigned the nations, when he divided up the human race, he established the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the gods. [9]“For the people of Israel belong to Yahweh; Jacob is his possession. Let me not give you gist of the Canaanites write ups that predated the scriptures and how the name of their gods reflected across the old testament scriptures. GO RESEARCH SIR. I won't do everything for you. I have done enough for you. Don't be Lazy SIR. Thanks. |
Truthseeker10:I am not answering you. Go and read my write up with Max. Max cannot go back to that question. So, go and look for it and digest the write up on the concept of Jehovah (Yahweh). Or you want to agree that Jehovah is the son of El whom El gave Israel to as his portion when El divided the nations amongst the gods? So, let the matter of Jehovah rest. Go and look for the white up and digest it. Thanks. |
MaxInDHouse Jesus is with me always. Whether I pray or not. In whatever I do, he is with me because he lives in me through his holy spirit. He abides with ME FOREVER. John 14:16-17 [16]And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. [17]He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. So, the Holy Spirit is with me and in me even as I speak to you know. He is my inspiration. 2 Corinthians 1:22 [22]and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised us. Thanks. |
MaxInDHouse:Max. The verses you quoted didn't say anything global. So, your interpretation is important and deviated away from the passage. Let us stick to the passage. Sola Scriptora. Let me interpret them one after the other for you, step by step. Matthew 18:18-20 [18]“I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. [19]“I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. [20]For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” EXPLANATION. Verse 18 This verse was premised on the verses 15-17 which gives the church the ability to excommunicate and also after repentance pardon and incorporate a believer who has refused to abide with a peaceful resolution with his fellow believer. Verse 18 is telling us that if such a person is excommunicated by the church, the excommunication stand and if they chose to pardon such person, the decision made also stand. It has nothing to do with prayer, but fellowship. Verse 19 was also premised on verse 16 (two or three witness). Verse 19 is saying whatever decision they make is what my father desires and will grant as regards forgiveness. Verse 20 still premised on that same forgiveness shows that the presence of the Lord is in a meeting convened in his name, so, whatever decision they make was not in his absence. This is also confirm by Paul on the issue of excommunication in 1 Corinthians 5:1-4 [1]I can hardly believe the report about the sexual immorality going on among you—something that even pagans don’t do. I am told that a man in your church is living in sin with his stepmother. [2]You are so proud of yourselves, but you should be mourning in sorrow and shame. And you should remove this man from your fellowship. [3]Even though I am not with you in person, I am with you in the Spirit. And as though I were there, I have already passed judgment on this man [4]in the name of the Lord Jesus. You must call a meeting of the church. I will be present with you in spirit, and so will the power of our Lord Jesus. So, the verse is on forgiveness in brethren's meeting and how erring brethren should be treated and if they repent how they should be incorporated and that decision Christ has delegated to the leadership of the assembly. YOU CAN EVEN CONFIRM THAT WITH THE NEXT PARABLE OF JESUS ON THE UNFORGIVING DEBTOR THAT FOLLOWS. That is the perfect interpretation of the passage and that is how you interpret scriptures. Thanks. |
MaxInDHouse:Max. I don't care. He is still alive and he has hope. He may cross over to the Lords side and the Lord will accept him. I am not giving up on anyone still alive. That's why I don't judge, he is not dead yet, so he has hope. John 6:37 [37]However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them. Thanks. |
MaxInDHouse:Max. Matthew 18:20 [20]For where two or three gather together in my name, I am there among them.” The passage doesn't say 200 or 50 or anything. It only said wherever (in the house, in school, at work place, in the village square) wherever two or three (fellowship begins with two, not fifty) are gathered in his (Jesus) name as believers. He will be there (anywhere). He is the one that knows his sheep and his sheep know him John 10. I know him and hear his voice. That enough for me. You may deny me, Jesus never deny me. He has the final say, not you and obviously not the governing council. Thanks |
MaxInDHouse:So I care about personality? No. That was why I didn't mention his any but decided to use ANYBODY instead. I am not looking for supporters, will they give me anything? I speak the truth (my version and views and not Lord it on anyone) from my clean conscience and pure (unbiased) knowledge of scriptures. |
MaxInDHouse:Sir. The foundation of God's worshippers is not Charles Russell but Jesus. You can't lay another foundation other than the one already laid which Is Jesus. I am a true follower of Jesus and I abide by all his teachings (ALL). So, I don't know to be a member of a group established in the 19th century when Jesus has established his own church since the first century. Almost two thousand years apart. 1 Corinthians 3:11-14 [11]For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. [12]Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. [13]But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. [14]If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. So, Max. Let us both keep building on the foundation which is Jesus. On the final day, God will reveal who has built with precious stones and who has built with straws. Keep building on your group sir. Let me keep building mine in my group. At least wait till that day now whether my work will burn or not. Just take a chill pill sir. Thanks. |
cornelboy:He is not arguing with you that the Father is not different from Jesus. The name Jehovah is the same as the 'theos' (God) in Greek and Jesus is god thereby he is Jehovah. Jehovah is not the specific name of the Father, the Father has no name that his know to man at the moment. All those names in the old testament were only titles and names given to god based on the experiences with him. He Father clearly states that 'He is who he is" ( I am who I am). And only Jesus knows the Fathers name and will reveal it at the last day to his special people. Revelation 3:12 [12]All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it. And I will write on them the name of my God, and they will be citizens in the city of my God—the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven from my God. And I will also write on them my new name. So, when anyone tells you Jesus is Jehovah, he is telling you Jesus is god and not Jesus is the Father and yes the Father is greater than his son (Jesus). Thanks. |
MaxInDHouse:I agree with you. Maybe you haven't come out clean before, because you have been speaking and defending as though you and you group had no flaws at all. Now we can agree. Me, Idle? Max. I am not, I do my father's biding and will at all times. And if I am besseted by sin, my father through Jesus forgives me and leads my back into his will. That is how much he loves me and that is how much I trust in his mercy. Thanks. |
cornelboy:I am a child of God, my father has adopted me. I have his seed, his nature and his spirit. He has plans for me to be with him forever. I am equal with God. John 10:34-36 [34]Jesus replied, “It is written in your own Scriptures that God said to certain leaders of the people, ‘I say, you are gods!’ [35]And you know that the Scriptures cannot be altered. So if those people who received God’s message were called ‘gods,’ [36]why do you call it blasphemy when I say, ‘I am the Son of God’? After all, the Father set me apart and sent me into the world. That is Jesus speak. I have the nature of my father (god). I am god. Thanks. |
cornelboy:Sir. Read all my reply with Max. I have explained it in detail. That was what Jesus said, but it may not be literal. Max claimed that the throne Jesus sat on was David throne that was wat led to it. If you agree, it is David throne. Can David throne contain the disciples that overcome too? But read our chat...you will get the main talking point. On we being equal with God and the likes. Didn't the scriptures called us Joint heirs with Christ? When you call someone heir, it make someone who will take over who someone dies. The question is will God die since we are called heir? The obvious answer is no. It means things cannot be interpreted out of context. Our being joint heir or equal with god shows that we will have the heavenly qualities, we will live forever, we will have dominion and many niret. Those are qualities God has that he will share with his said when we overcome. Read our chat and get the context. Thanks. |
Truthseeker10:I explained all the scriptures you brought, there is none you were able to discard. Then you resorted to tantrums. I don't engage people in tantrums sir. I respect your views. It is obvious to reader and future reader that I have answered your questions. And the can see clearly that wat you wanted is REPETITION AND REPETITION. So when they read this thread half to the place where you started you tantrums, the will move to another thread. So, don't bother... nobody will read the thread to this point at all. No even I. Good night sir. I BOW OUT. |
Truthseeker10:So, I answered my own question right. I answered all your questions and also answered all my questions too. WHICH ONE DID YOU, YES YOU, NOW ANSWERED? |
Truthseeker10:Sir. Go and sleep. All your questions have been answered. You have never answered one nor even one question of mine. Go and sleep sir. |
Truthseeker10:You have never answered one of my questions...you ran away and came back with loads of already answered questions. |
Truthseeker10:Sir it is obvious you do not feel like sleeping and you are just passing time. You have evaded all my questions and I have answered all yours. But this last one, you will not evade. I won't answer any further questions until you answer this one. IS ANGEL GABRIEL "MORTAL" OR "IMMORTAL"? |
Truthseeker10:Lol...funny you sir. Let me ask you. Is Angel Gabriel "Mortal"? |
Truthseeker10:I told you yes and I told you context. Let me ask you. Are angels "Mortals"? |
Truthseeker10:1. Wasn't it the same Paul that wrote Philippians 2 where he said Jesus was equal with god? 2. Where I quoted and you quoted it was the Pharisees accusing Jesus that he equate himself with God when he said he is the son of God. He didn't say it himself but they understand the gravity of the statement. You remember when Peter made that declaration "You are the Messiah, the son of the living god"? Remember what Jesus said that they should not reveal it to any man because he has not yet been glorified. I It was Paul in Philippians that showed that Jesus left is privileges of divinity and took human form for salvation. So, if you wanna arrest anyone, arrest Paul first. Thanks. |
Truthseeker10:False accusations. I have ALWAYS held even here and now, that THE FATHER IS GREATER THAN THE SON. I even write it in bold now. Where is the lie? SIR. |
Truthseeker10:1. I have answer you severally that the Father is greater than the son. The son himself said that and not me. John 14:28 [28]Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am. 2. Jesus was not equal with God when he was alive because he was purely human as only humans can die physical dead. He voluntarily let go of his divinity and took on humanity because of the salvation of you and I. It is clearly stated here: Philippians 2:7-8 [7]Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, [8]he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Thanks. |
Truthseeker10:You still don't get context. When the Bible attributed God as he alone is Lord. Don't we have other Lords? Weren't angels also called lords even by Abraham and the Patriachs? Does that mean since we call angels lords, the psalmist that said God is Lord alone has lied? You are wiser than this now. Thanks |
Truthseeker10:Smile It used to surprise people that my words have always been consistent. You are looking for inconsistency but it seems I am making it hard for you to find. Right interpretation of the scriptures without bias or Denominationalism helps achieve that BACK TO YOUR QUESTION. 1. Jesus was equal with God before his Incarnation. John 17:5 [5]Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began. 2. Jesus freely by his choice and the will of the Father surrendered his equality with God when he incarnated and came to earth (he was purely human). Philippians 2:7 [7]Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 3. Jesus became equal with god after his ascension to the right hand of God where his position has always been. Philippians 2:9 [9]Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, Thanks. |
