All the tangible content we had from Rochas in 8 years....where has it left Imo State today? Honestly, besides a few public buildings he put up in Owerri, i can't see any lasting legacy and economic enablers to point to as gains of a 8 year Rochas admin'!

I'm still giving Ihedioha the benefit of the doubt....Rochas left a lot of debt, unpaid salaries/pensions/gratuities, and decrepit/non-existent critical infrastructure for him as a welcoming gift! My patience would run out if, in a years time from his swearing in as governor, we don't start seeing things on ground!

I doubt you know much about Imo State. Rochas contrary to what you wrote left a lot of money for him, robust economy, booming real estate, booming entertainment and hospitality, good roads, excelkent security and nightlife, rapidly growing IGR, top 5 GDP in Nigeria and the needed pan African attention through his foundation College of Africa. Ihedioha and a lot of the elite feel they have scores to settle with Rochas and embarked on destruction from the day of swearing in and refusing to maintain infrastructures in order to use them as tool of blackmail against Rochas but it won't work. Imolites have eyes and know how Imo was 2011 and how it was as at May 29th 2019 so if Ihedioha degraded Imo in 5 months or 6 months it does not in any way discredit Rochas Okorocha. Presently Ihedioha is already a hated Governor by majority and is hanging on based on zoning and clannish sentiments.

Had it been a good Governor was in place with no intents of vendetta he would have ridden on the gains of Rochas and Imo would be better for it.

Governor Ihedioha has appointed his brother Inlaw Chibuzor Iwuagwu as "head of service" causing public outcry. This is in addition to appointment of his blood younger sister as SSA protocols.

Some states like Delta and Anambra, with learned politicians are working. Imo state except Owerri is as good as dead.

Most of the instruments like portable water supply and tertiary education institutions that engender development where provided, are evenly provided in Anambra and Delta states.

But in Imo state, poorly educated politicians, worse, Rochas Okorocha, coupled with primitive greed in Owerri zone, make all instruments of development cluster only in Owerri zone.


The Orlu and Okigwe zones of Imo state remain in near dark ages.

The new governor from Owerri zone has set out early with policies to worsen the situation in Orlu and Okigwe zones.

My brother Anambra and Delta are working maybe on paper but might even be worse than some States you believe are not working. Building of roads does not make a working system but establishing sustainability across the system and State. Example if roads are built there should be proper maintenance plan because roads in rainforest with heavy duty 60 tonnes trucks plying them require regular maintenance.

What is worst is the government will use public money, build the house, and sell it at private rates.
If the government does build something it's supposed to be at a benefit to the public. But they will sell it or charge just as much as everyone else so that the government is one of 1000 companies in the state doing the same thing.

The money used to build those houses could have repaired all of the damaged roads in the state (road repair is cheap), but instead it's being used to build and sell houses as if not enough people were doing this in Imo

Nigerians aren't 'wicked'. Exploitation is a part of businesses and always will be. The issue is the GOVERNMENT that's supposed to be using it's money to audit and regulate is using it's money to run it's own real estate venture.

That’s why it would have been better government leave one generation to another so that fresh ideas can be injected into the system. People like you are needed in Imo State to contribute with ideas on how to move the State foward in a modern way but you can't get that opportunity right now because politics of gratification is in place and people that contributed in making of the office holders have to regain money invested. No State in Nigeria is actually working.

No road can last when half of it is covered with heaps of refuse and flooded because the drainage has been blocked. Looking at the 2 pictures you need not look for why the road has gone bad.

This is Nkwo Orji market in Owerri North and level of deterioration in 5 months. Just like every other thing in Owerri Ihedioha and his team are blaming Rochas but evidence abounds that they are guilty of not maintaining what they inherited in good state.

These two, cursed with terrible leaders upon leaders have terrible infrastructures. Imo as a whole has failed and should summarily be annexed to Anambra state while Abia should be annexed to Enugu

Stop writing thrash. Under Rochas Imo became the fastest developing State in Nigeria and the fastest growing IGR in the East so we had one if the best leaders in Nigeria. Ihedioha will definitely be removed if not by the court then mass action except he retraces his steps and starts fast rebuilding of everything he destroyed. Remember how his recovery chairman was almost burnt to death by angry youths. Imo isn't so bad presently as painted by the OP but we've lost the momentum of development experienced when Rochas was there. A visit to Imo State thread will prove the slowdown.

Oh my my God! I nearly made a U turn back to enugu because of there was no road..
The roads in imo state is worse than bad.

Governor Ihedioha. I don't care how much okorocha embezzled. Let God and EFCC deal with him concerning that but you are now the governor.

Unfortunately Owerri-Okigwe is a federal road and Enugu-Onitsha isn't better than it. Rochas did well as Governor but PDP relied on early destruction to rubbish his image which has already backfired here in Imo State. Everyone wants Ihedioha out immediately and Imo restored to how it was as at May 29th. We know and have experienced the difference and as we write the level of filth in Owerri and basically every urban area in the State has reached a shameful height to an extent that even PDP members like Uche Ogbuagu have started turning against Governor Ihedioha.

A clear example is this Orji market. Anyone who visits there today like the poster won't know how it was when Okorocha handed over but at least these pictures speak volumes. We miss Rochas hooha!

My dear brother I don't have time for what you are insinuating because I have always put Imo State ahead of politics so I'm lost as to how you came up with that conclusion. Ihedioha has paid bloggers that carry his news on social media unlike Okorocha so if things are happening you won't need me to post them here as it's always handy across various platforms.

The free Mother and Child Hospital built and furnished to taste by Okorocha has also been vandalized and turned into a mechanic workshop by the present Government. The complex was commissioned in May by VP Osinbajo.

The Imo senior citizen center also built and fully equipped by Okorocha to carter for elderly citizens as seen in advanced countries has also been vandalized and turned into office for Imo Housing corporation.

This is the situation in Imo today. Very pathetic I must say.

This thread is as dead as a log of wood in Sapele forest because nothing tangible is happening other than destruction of already established infrastructure. This Woddi Wellness and Fitness center was built and equipped to taste as a pet project of Okorocha's wife in 2017 and has served as a free medical center for Imo citizens in past 2 years under Catholic management but Ihedioha has recently decided to close it down and turn it to office for Imo security guard vandalizing the building and equipments after which he will turn around to use his paid bloggers and lie to the world that it was abandoned, uncompleted, unnecessary, not equipped, Okorocha's private hospital or substandard.

Igbos are generally not as dark as Lupita which will make the entire thing look fake. She will be best fit for role as Edo, Bayelsa or Yoruba where a greater percentage are that dark.

That uche nwosu wrote the 10k jobs exam in 2010 and he couldn't pass but Rochas came and made him Chief of staff.

Uche Nwosu had no reason to engage in Ohakim's fraudulent jobs because he was already a big man by 2010 working with Okorocha. He is the next Governor of Imo State by the grace of God so that development will continue again after Ihedioha's deliberate destructions

As at 2003 Okorocha was already contesting for President of Nigeria and was already running his Rochas Foundation Colleges scattered across Nigeria and equally being one of the highest property owners in Abuja so this photo means nothing but the fashion trend of that time.

They should do fast and remove this idiot calling himself Governor. Everywhere and every institution in Imo are dying rapidly with increased crime and suicide within just 102 days but he is busy wasting our money on media propaganda not about his achievements but rather targeted at discrediting Rochas. Stop relying on sponsored propaganda in your assessment of Rochas. He is highly loved in Imo State by the masses but the worst enemy of the political elite. Nobody can defeat him in a free and fair election.
