Ifeanyi is a hired blogger working for Ohakim and has no business with yesterday's APC congress other than to wish Uche Nwosu group lost hence the false reports.

There was no incidence of thuggery in Imo APC congress but rather Abuja faction that planned to write result without congress were apprehended by Police led by the State CP.

It is painful when people say the truth. Obiano is miles and miles ahead of Okorocha. Infact go to FB and read how Imolites are praying to have an OBIANO to turn around Imo state for good.
Obiano's 3yrs in office has surpassed 7 wasted yrs of Okorocha.

Okorocha has taken over 200b loan but yet there's nothing anywhere in Imo state to show for it.

What's the present condition of hospitals, schools, roads, education, IGR etc, we are in trouble in Imo State.

Just one of the many bridges/flyovers/roads done Obiano has covered all that Okorocha has wasted 7yrs trying to do.
This small jobless boy I've reported you severally for cloning my moniker but it seems ignored by the modes. Stop comparing Obiano an alcohol addict with nothing to show with Rochas Okorocha. Moreover this thread has nothing to do with your dirty and illiterate State. You guys shoukd focus on cleaning up Awka and Onitsha first as they look more or less like garbage cities. Build a beautiful road today and in a week everywhere is dirty and uninhabitable like this case of Nkpor under bridge.

Stop your shenanigan Abagworo! Give credit to whom it is due and stop peddling falsehood with your Arthur Criminal and Okorocha scam.
1. Arthur Nzeribe my foot! The number 1 criminal didn't do hiss. He may have gotten involved in the Onitsha-Owerri road through the senate but never the Orlu road. Please spare me that lies. Udenwa did that road and the federal government compensated the IMSG accordingly. You can feed those tales to foreigners not us who we're on ground.
2. Which old Njaba bridge did you say long collapsed? No bridge collapsed, Okorocha only demolished it for a new dualized one. But between that old bridge and the 'sharp sand, gravel and rod' bridge Rochas built, which one is stronger?
The only credit I give Okorocha is the dualization of the Orlu-Owerri road, but in term of quality nwanne don't go there. Please when next you want to peddle that lie, don't say it in the front of a bonafide nwafor Orlu!
I think some of you should fear God while making some unfounded claims. Thank you Abagworo for being truthful.

Flood in Onitsha, Anambra State, resulting from a heavy downpour on Friday swept away valuables belonging to residents and killing an eight-year-old girl.

The eight-year old girl was found dead on Saturday in a water channel along old market road .

The deceased, identified as Oluebube Nwanedo, said to be a primary four pupil of Holy Child Primary school Onitsha, was the first child of her parents.

She hailed from Umuezike in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo state.

The mother of the deceased, Mrs Amaka Nwanedo, while narrating her ordeal said her little daughter was returning from church after the heavy rain when the incident occurred.

She said, “She was on her way back home from a Block Rosary Centre at Benjamin’s lane after a down pour when her slippers slipped off her legs and fell into the flooded drainage.

“In an attempt to retrieve the slippers, she was swept off by the flood.”

She said efforts made by passersby to rescue Oluebube failed, adding that her corpse was later found after a long search.

PUNCH gathered that the deceased body was immediately taken to her home town for burial.

Imo State the most peaceful and educated State in Southeast

Osun State is the most peaceful in the country, according to a report on Nigeria Peace Index (NPI).

It is closely followed by Kogi and Ekiti States, according to the report.

According to NPI, Kwara and Imo ranked as fourth and fifth respectively in the rating.

The inaugural peace index report put together by the Foundation for Peace Professionals, a research organisation that advocates for peace, adopted similar methodology of the Global Peace Index.

It also followed the pattern of the United States Peace Index and the United Kingdom Peace index in series of national indexes.

Speaking at the unveiling of the report in Abuja, the Executive Director of FPP, Abdulrazaq Hamzat, explained in attempting to rate the level of peace in Nigeria, NPI investigated the extent to which states experience social, economic, political and environmental factors that either hinder or promote peace.

He said: “We collected data for 2010 to 2016, an average of which gives us the result of Nigeria peace Index 2017.

“Five broad indicators were adopted for this index and they include the level of poverty crime rate, level of education, rate of human rights abuse and level of Incarceration.

“Key findings of the NPI showed that Osun State is the most peaceful state in Nigeria and it has greater tendency for peace based on its overall performance in the five broad indicators. While Osun didn’t come top in any of the five indicators, its overall score is the least violent.

“Osun, Kogi, Ekiti, Kwara and Imo States are five most peaceful states in Nigeria.

“Kogi is second most peaceful state in Nigeria and most peaceful in the North. Imo is the most peaceful state in South-East and fifth most peaceful in Nigeria.

“Akwa Ibom is most peaceful state in South-South, Kaduna in North-West, Kogi in North Central, Osun in South-West, Imo in South-East and Taraba State in North-East.”

The report stated that Yobe Kebbi, Bauchi, Zamfara and Sokoto were five least peaceful states in Nigeria, adding this was apart from Borno that was not considered due to insufficient data and the Boko Haram red light.

The report therefore assumed that Borno was overall least peaceful.

It said Lagos had least poverty in Nigeria while Zamfara had least crime and Imo the most education.

The NPI noted that Ekiti had least incarceration and Taraba had least human rights abuses, adding that the North-West with least education and most poverty in Nigeria was one of the two least peaceful regions in the country despite being most performing in the other three indicators.

Shameless thugs. Of all places to display political rascality, they took it to the church.

Not surprised though.. Drug Lords settle their scores right in the church by mowing down hapless worshippers. In another show of shame, they pooh poohed the Pope's directives concerning the Archbishop Opaleke's case.

At the risk of sounding clannish and ethnocentric, the value system of the Igbos is really warped and I say so with the highest sense of respect to them and not to disrespect. All decorum is thrown to the dogs in pursuit of stomach agenda. A lot of value reorientation is required to tame these excesses.

The wife of the Governor has security details attached to her. They should have ensured that the situation doesn't escalate.
Don't believe all you read especially from partisan source. The Arch Bishop came for funeral mass and instead of facing the occasion started telling lies against Okorocha and abusing his family. He didn't stop at that but gave mic to a PDP youth from the village who went on to abuse Uche Nwosu whereas the village is an APC compliant area. The village youths got angry and started booing and making noise and it ended there. There was no physical whatever and the video doesn't show anything meaningful but to deceive those who may not watch it.

In Imo State the Imo youths movement and Ugwumba movement are the largest and most vibrant youths gathering with no other existent matching youth organization. Both of them are loyal to Uche Nwosu and asking for youthful Governor.

Christianity EtcRe: Peter Okpaleke Resigns As Bishop Of Ahiara Diocese, Mbaise In Imo by Imo1stson: 5:32pm On Feb 19, 2018
As reported

Bishop Okpaleke resigns

The Catholic Bishop of Ahiara Diocese of Mbaise Region, in the Ecclesiastical Province of Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Ebere Okpaleke, has resigned as Bishop of Ahiara Diocese. The Vatican, in a short note, dated February 19, 2018, said the pontiff, Pope Francis, accepted the resignation of Bishop Okpaleke, who was appointed Chief Shepherd of Ahiara by Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI in 2012, but was never able to take full possession of the diocese for years because of protests by majority of clergy and laity, particularly because he is not from Mbaise, hence, not incardinated in the Ahiara Presbyterium, the region surrounding their diocese.

Born on the 1st day of March, I963, Bishop Okpaleke was ordained priest of Awka in August 22, 1992; appointed Bishop of Ahiara Diocese in December 7, 2012 and consecrated Bishop of Ahiara Diocese in May 21, 2013. He studied Philosophy and Theology at Bigard Memorial Seminary, Ikot Ekpene and Enugu respectively; undertook a higher studies at the Catholic Institute of West Africa (CIWA), Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and later obtained a doctorate degree in Canon Law at the Holy Cross Pontifical University, Rome.

His Holiness, Pope Francis has, pro tempore, named Bishop Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji of the Catholic Diocese of Umuahia, as Ahiara's temporal Apostolic Administrator till a new bishop is appointed.

Sometimes the modes need to screen some stories and their captions. After reading the news I observed

1 That the Governor was not even interviewed but rather his press secretary and

2 He never made such silly remark or anything close yo that.

For those who are yet to read it but depended on OP's fake title, here is the news.

[b] Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has formally reacted to the controversy over the alleged plot to impeach his deputy, Prince Eze Madumere, saying such an impeachment would be of no political benefit to him or anybody else. Okorocha, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, described the report of the purported impeachment plot as disdainful and ridiculous. He said: “We have also been inundated with calls on the issue for reaction and for reasons best known to us we decided to remain calm until now.

“And interestingly, those mentioned to be behind the imagined impeachment plan are Hon. Obinna Mbata, Commissioner for Finance and Hon Luggard Osuji, representing Owerri Municipal Constituency in the State House of Assembly. “A day before the nonexistent impeachment plot, Obinna Mbata and Luggard Osuji, had led the APC officials and leaders in Owerri Municipal Council to endorse Chief Uche Nwosu for the 2019 governorship in the state.

That is the only reason two of them have now become ‘State House of Assembly of 27 members’ to impeach the deputy governor. “You also ask and innocently too, of what political value will the impeachment of the Deputy Governor now add to anybody or organisation in the state at the moment.” Onwuemeodo said those who came up with the impeachment story with the hope that it would help them in their ambition are also the ones marketing it.

He said: “The point is that anybody who thinks that he can win the governorship election in the state in 2019 without the contribution of Governor Rochas Okorocha should go and do what Rochas did in 2011 by taking the ticket of APGA and winning the election and in 2015 when he joined APC in a zone that was dominated by PDP and also won his election. That is the best option now.
