Whether his son inlaw or deluty or even his daughter, all we need is continuity. The level of development in Imo State is amazing. |
Abogwara:Very disappointing opposition. |
Alejoas:The workers are now owing Imo State one month work. Okorocha might pay March salary before end of February so that they will be owing the State 2 months. |
lmo1stson:Bia Chino stop this cloning of monikers. |
LasGidiOwner:This real high-rise is owned by an Anambrian. I'm sure that he sees Onitsha as a slum for those lanky 4 storey buildings hence his refusal to site this edifice in the dirty slum.
|
doctokwus:It's plain truth and he has abolished the 3 day work policy. Workers are now owing Imo State. |
LasGidiOwner:Not everyone is jobless like you and your drunkard pay master. Tell him to develop Awka to Orlu or Okigwe standard or moreover demolish that smelly slum called Onitsha for urban renewal. |
Owelle Rochas Okorocha sets record of the fastest salary pay in Imo state history as he pays February salary on the 7th. This was following his declaration that recession is over. More coming.. |
freiheitlutadora:Thank you bro for being factual. Who can counter these points? |
The news was doctored but the statement is undoubtedly the indisputable truth. If you want to argue do so with facts. |
Why did you choose to lie? FIGURES were never mentioned anywhere and amnesty was not granted. https://www.nairaland.com/4332393/don-waneys-followers-surrender-arms#64830115 |

supereagle:Stop writing thrash. The Orlu teaching hospital built by Udenwa was a kitchen line until Okorocha built most of the structures you see there today. The 27 hospitals have been completed and few remain only equipping. Here is one of the several completed hospitals for people to judge.
|
anyimontana:They are all at least 90% completed. Okorocha is a man of action. |
Meanwhile Okorocha made it clear that he has not granted them amnesty as he lacks the powers but will forward their request to FG. |
Hundreds of Don Wanney’s fighters, who had earlier rejected all government’s overtures to them to surrender their arms have finally done so. They surrendered their arms including explosives, rocket launchers and high-calibre rifles such as AK-47, at Heroes Square yesterday. Before the event, Governor Rochas Okorocha had earlier told journalists, who met with him at the Government House, that he had been busy with several phone calls about the success story that the followers of Don Waney had agreed to handover their arms, describing the development as a healthy one since it is believed that it would ensure lasting peace in the oil-producing areas of the state. Johnson Igwedibia, aka Don Waney The governor remarked that “it is very shocking to note that most of the activists of the Avengers and those of Don Wanney operatives are our sons and daughters from the militancy business and their surrendering arms will end the security challenges we have in the Ohaji/Egbema, Awara and the rest of the areas where people have been on self-exile for many years”. He said “Today we are welcoming back our brothers and sisters who have remained in the creeks and forest for so many years perpetuating all kinds of evil, killing and maiming human beings. “But today, glory to God, these our children have decided on their own to come back to the society and be part of the society. “They are doing so on their own, surrendering arms which they have used in committing criminal activities for what they called expression of grievances of different sorts. “We, as a government, are happy particularly that these young boys and girls will now come back as good citizens of Imo State. We are here to receive them and listen to them. “What they say today will determine the role of government in assisting them and making sure they become good citizens once more. It is the wish of the Niger Delta people to welcome you back as good citizens. “You could recall that three weeks ago the notorious kingpin Don Waney was killed and most of these boys are his colleagues and generals in the bush. Today, we are gladdened that the lives of these boys have not been left in the hands of the Military and Police who would have wasted them but today they are been reintegrated into our society to become good citizens.” He continued: “We as a government that is sensitive to the plights of the people are here to intervene before the matter gets out of hand. Last year and last two years we did a similar exercise and most of those youths are now doing well. “We want to remove terror from Ohaji/Egbema. This is one of my campaign promises, that I will change the lives of Ohaji/Egbema people. Terror is going out from the region. “These are the children that drove away their traditional rulers, parents and brothers but today the story is different. We don’t want to hear the stories of Avengers and Don Wanney again, “The state has forgiven them and will subsequently give their names to the Federal Government for amnesty.” In his speech, Don Wanney’s fourth in command, ‘General’ Red Squad, whose real name is Emenike Agamu, said the militancy group led by the late Waney killed several people and blew up many oil pipelines. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/02/don-waneys-followers-surrender-arms-owerri/

We should learn to tolerate each other. We are all black people trying to survive in a world that we were relegated to the background. |
Owerri isn't flooded. The pictures are partly from last year while some were taken during rainfall. 10 minutes after the rain everywhere was already dry with zero water logs. |
Heard Rivers PDP was implicated as well as info that Don Wanni was assassinated by a paid agent while under interogation. Most Omoku people are calling for the head of some politicians from their area they believe to be behind the cultists and killings. |
If he so much loves music then he should train his voice and start singing instead of the wack rap songs he's been dishing out. |
Shiites have always been violent and should never be allowed to raise a head in Nigeria again. So many of the killings of Igbos that happened in the past across Northern Nigeria was carried out by Shiites. If one observes there has been nearly zero clash in the North since Zak-zaky was arrested. |
Obiano needs to step up security. |
jamjo:You have a point but most investors in Owerri opt for luxury duplex instead of high-rise. Most other Igbo cities have high concentration of high-rise residential buildings than Owerri. Personally I don't like living in public house which is one of the reasons I seem to prefer Owerri than most Southeastern cities. There are areas in Owerri with highrise residential buildings like Tetlow, Douglas, Amakohia but they are considered slum and house mostly the poorer class. World Bank housing is a bungalow slum too.The lower middle class in Owerri live in well planned Ikenegbu, Aladinma, Federal housing, Uratta housing, Transegbu, Prefab etc. while upper middle class live mostly at Works, Shell camp/GRA, Various estates at Egbeada and then New Owerri where there is a mix of high class and upper middle class. I discussed this particular issue with a friend at how amazingly Nworie River seems to divide Owerri into 2 classes of people. We also noticed that Owerri and Enugu are the 2 Igbo cities where your area of residence suggests your class. In other Igbo cities there seem to be no marked areas for the affluents aside GRA. |
Okorocha opens his mouth it becomes news. The man is a legend. |
Ikengawo:Well some roads in New Owerri are lined with coniferous trees. I guess our climate supports it. Whistling pine is very common in Nigeria.
|
Cjrane2:Here's the prototype of Akanu Ibiam road. Work is still going on though but looks good to be completed by Easter 2018.

If there's tomboy then there must be "tomgirl". |
