CareerRe: National Association Of Unemployed Graduates(NAUG) by In4matic:
To achieve greatness is a function of conscious collective input.
No nation in the world have ever grown to super-power status except by collective state resolution for principled and progressive growth.

When we hear of figures and figures used up for bogus schemes and abandoned projects plus pointless state functions in the name of state banquets and a plethora of other Ceremonies, let us always remind ourselves the obvious implications of that. that for every million Naira Spent on wasted projects, ten Graduates have lost a hope for an average income. For Every Billion looted. 1000 Graduates would never see a meager income, lets not talk about the likely dependents and aged parents of such a graduate else the figure would triple. What of our children, borne and yet unborn? A question for those "lucky" to get "comfortable" jobs; What about the future of YOUR CHILDREN? i have asked of those around me and these are the answers i get on the average:
1. God Will do it again, He"ll show them favor as he showed their parents.
or
2. I will send them abroad to settle for a better life.

what does that imply? This situation will only get worse, everybody knows it.
there is a saying that if all were kings who would serve?
if we continue on this path, eventually we'll all be doing menial "entrepreneurial" tasks; making clothes and shoes from fabrics imported from china, repairing phones imported from china, fixing hair imported from Brazil, working as labourers in construction sites manned and run by foreigners, when we can make those fabrics, shoes, bags phones and equipment here.

on a side not, please can any Engineer in the house tell me if it really does beat the competency of a Nigerian Graduate to design an overhanging bridge, a road, a tunnel a simple locomotive train that justifies the importation of technicians even down to raw materials and equipment thereby taking what we ought to benefit and giving it to outsiders? it beats my imaginations to high heavens.
Where did all those bright kids go? who appeared on NTA jets-club in those days with designs upon designs of equipment prototypes? don't tell me, They are all begging-to-apply in banks and oyel companies cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

How will it get better? How did India do it? How did Singapore do it? how did China do it? can we even summon the chutzpah to attempt the Gandhi-kind of resolve to always wear Calico until India of then could make better fabrics? i wonder!

hmmm,
For a slogan, a punchline should be sought after. a line that gives the hearer something to ponder about, something that re-echoes the essence of the struggle we are up against, something catchy and reverberating.

lets play with words a bit.

"I AM EMPLOYABLE"

"WE ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO BE PAID ENOUGH"

"FOR MY ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT AND YOURS"

"ENGAGE US TO INDUSTRIALIZE THE NATION"

"GIVE US STRAW, WE'LL BUILD YOU A NATION"

these are just suggestions that come to mind. please feel free to chew on them a bit.

permit me to borrow a leaf from my "Eku isee" brother above cheesy

If the Op likes the idea, i can work on a one page flier that will highlight the goals of the movement for distrubution. so when there is a dedicated site, it can be uploaded so members can download and print as much as they have capacity for distribution around their locality. by this means creating more awareness. it is better to have a uniform flier for easier identification from the fakes which may later arise.
we have our personal offices, homes and even online for meeting. its just full of possibilities

kinnad: Sorry i've not been around for some time now.I'm so much impressed at the turnup, the last time i counted,we were six,but i can't even count anymore. I've taken my time to read through to the last page, kudos to you all.Thats the spirit. Now i think we've got to start.

However,Mr King, please something has to be done about this name.It is true that the name gets people's attention, but thats only at the first instant. The second time you take a look at it,it becomes deregatory.

Like i said earlier,it should nt be only for the unemployed, else it becomes selfish, since you will cease to be a member when you gain an employment.Do u also know that the name sounds like you're proud to call yourself "unemployed",and it therefore sounds like a joke. Please think about it,and see from other people's point of view.

It would make more sense if we call it "NIGERIAN GRADUATES' MOVEMENT AGAINST UNEMPLOYMENT".You can still refine the name if you wish but please drop the former.

I need some sleep now.I will be back during the day for exchange of ideas.
of all the name advocates i have seen so far, yours makes sense. i look forward to the movements' website or forum. lets maximise our potentials in actualizing this. with one mind, nothing can stop us!!!

This is a wonderful initiative.
severally i have thought about it and i also wish to ask my entrepreneurial advocates. if we citizens of a sovereign state and yet provide basic amenities for ourselves and are also to provide jobs for ourselves and fund it ourselves what then is the roles of the state. to supervise and ensure all the ants in the hive work hard?
we are mostly struggling in the name of being self employed and i ask them.is the choice of going solo not a function of having options. give people options and let them gather their own funds, experience and means to launch into the murky business waters. there are too many businesses collapsing in Nigeria to justify the enterpreneurship song people are singing. count me in

But, that does not answer the questions posed. Lets not forget femi came up with undisputable facts upon facts.

And after seeking the opinions of bible scholars the conclusion reached was that Paul's writings were letters of advice concerning specific issues in particular locations. Not to be misconstrued as gospel. Do you agree sir?

Paul: The Hypocritical Pharisee 0
June 16, 2013 | 1:46 am
Article of Faith
By Femi Aribisala

No Christian genuinely seeking the righteousness of God should imitate a man like Paul.

Jesus warns his disciples: “Beware of these Pharisees and the way they pretend to be good when they aren’t. But such hypocrisy cannot be hidden forever.” (Luke 12:1). This warning certainly applies to Paul. Paul declares: “I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee.”(Acts 23:6). Moreover, his hypocrisy, hidden in his days, is now evident to all in the bible.

Paul is double-tongued in his epistles. He says one thing hereand another thing there. He does the exact opposite of the righteousness he proclaims. The discrepancies between his words and his actions belie his highfalutin pretensions to lofty Christian morality and values.

Double-standards

Paul warns the Galatians: “If you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.” (Galatians 5:2). And yet, Paul himself personally circumcised Timothy. Luke reports that: “Paul wanted to take him alongon the journey, so he circumcised him because of the Jews who lived in that area, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.” (Acts 16:3).

Paul counsels the Romans: “Do not be wise in your own opinion.” (Romans 12:16). Thenhe says opinionatedly to the Galatians: “I have confidence in the Lord that you will take no other view than mine.” (Galatians 5:10). He declares in Galatia: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28).Then he contradicts himself in Corinth by proclaiming discrimination between men and women: “Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak.” (1 Corinthians 14:34).

Paul asked: “When one of you has a grievance against a brother, does he dare go to lawbefore the unrighteous instead of the saints?” (1 Corinthians 6:1). But then, confronted by Christian antagonists, Paul chose to go to law before “the unrighteous:” “If there is nothing in their charges againstme, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar.” (Acts 25:11). He says: “no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed.” (1 Corinthians 12:3). Then he himself declares that Jesus was accursed: “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.” (Galatians 3:13).

Paul writes to the Romans: “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.” (Romans 12:14). But he then goes on to curse his opponents, even including angels from heaven: “If we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:cool. When the high priest ordered someone to slap him, Paul replied angrily with a curse: “God shall slap you, you whitewashed pigpen.” (Acts 23:2-3).

Paul insists Christians should not boast: “What, then, can we boast about? Nothing!” (Romans 3:27). “What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you didnot?” (1 Corinthians 4:7). But he then boasts repeatedly; claiming he prays more, laboursmore, and suffers more than everybody else. (2 Corinthians 11:22-27). He says it is unwise to compare oneself with others.(2 Corinthians 10:12). Then he declares that he is superior to the twelve apostles: “They say they serve Christ? I know I sound like a madman, but I have served him far more! I have worked harder.” (2 Corinthians 11:23). He says: “Christ is the end of the law.” (Romans 10:4). Nevertheless, he performed Nazarite sacrificesaccording to the law even after Jesus’ resurrection. (Acts 21:26).

Congenital liar

Paul says to the Colossians: “Do not lie to one another.” (Colossians 3:9). And yet, Paul himself is not committed to truth. Instead, he justifies telling lies to the Philippians: “The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached.” (Philippians 1:18)
LiteratureRe: Is “Things Fall Apart” Really Chinua Achebe's Best Work? by In4matic: 11:21pm On May 21, 2013
utumunta: Whatever one might say; Achebe was a master storyteller whose works keep one glued to it, till the last page.
My best of Achebe's works is ; "Arrow of gods". It was highly exhillarating and confusing. What happened to Ezeulu?
Did Ezeulu carry the sacrifices of his people beyond the altar and was punished by the gods?
Did he conspire with the whiteman against his people in the Okperi land case and in sending Oduche to school?
Was he trying to direct the hand of the gods by secretly paving the way for Nwafo to succeed him as chief priest?
Was he a haughty and vengeful chief priest that used his office to settle scores?
Was his, the case of the proverbial dog that answered two masters at the same time and broke it's jaw in the process?
Torn between his allegiance to his god and community, he aligned with the former, who refused to take sides with him against the people. Or did Ulu choose to destroy itself when it's potency was in question?
Ezulu was a man misundestood by his god, wives, friends ,family ,clan ,reader and writer(Achebe)!

Achebe admitted, in a forward to this masterpiece that, it his only work, he could be caught reading over again. My take is that ,this was a tribute to the sacred Idemili deity of the Ogidi people, where he hailed from.
Shame i never got the opportunity to ask him the question.
Bravo my brother. you have just said some of the qualities arrow of God stands for. it is one book i never get tired of reading. when i was younger, i'd read it cover to cover only to start over again at the beggining. there was no month i'd not read that book at least once. it was pure wisdom captured in pages.

Sincerely speaking, the best way to an unending source of income is by leveraging the power of network marketing. For me it is a reality that I will never stop talking about. If you have read any book by Robert Kiyosaki, you will understand what am talking about.
.

I don't need to be clarified on anything my brother! All MLM follow the pyramid structure and are mainly dubious in the way they hoodwink people into thinking that there is a sure reward at the end.
Bro, may God bless you abundantly. A scheme that always sites examples of others who have made it big and when you dig deeper you'll find that the speaker has never met the person being talked about in his life. so many have come and gone. and so many countries have banned them.
A couple of years ago a friend called me he had a deal for me only to tell me of MLM and how he is getting a jeep in 6 months. i wished him well and told him i'll call him in six months time to wash the car. whenever i ask him when our jeep will arrive, he go almost turn the thing to quarrel why i go even remind am of the venture. i know his level of passion and go getting spirit but alas. need i say more?

acidtalk: There are rules in leadership and followership and the number one binding rule is Loyalty.

For those mocking this man about not knowing his organization's website address, even though it won't stand as an excuse not to know it, do this people also realize that more than 95% of our present Bank CEO's do not also know their bank's website or slogan. Most Nigerian Senators, Honorable members, Ministers and Governors can't recite Nigeria's National Pledge not to talk of the Anthem.

Let's start tackling more inportant issues and look for solutions rather than being engrossed in irrelevant and nonbeneficial discussions.
you sir, have slaughtered the most relevant issue in this country buy your assertions. so its okay to be incompetent so long as one is loyal? boy o boy, and we wonder why Nigeria Can't be better.
so what in your opinion is more important than identifying pentagonal pegs in round holes.
