A positive mind will welcome the industrious spirit that produced those properties so for more development. Separation should not be seen as quarrel but as a way to better the lives of all parts of Nigeria.
How more industrious can you be than the Chinese? Does that change the fact their still aliens in Nigeria?
So we should allow the Chinese, and Indians unrestricted access into Nigeria because they're "industrious minds"?

Come on, be logical dude.
Can the people of Southern Cameroon Saunter across the border to come and start claiming rights? Afterall, they were formerly in Nigeria?

Modified

The bolded is the key word. Betterment of Nigeria.

Tell me why will NIGERIA pursue the betterment of Biafran people's interest than bettering her citizens?

ABSOLUTE HORSE SHIIT.

Fact is Igbos would turn persona non grata in Nigeria.

I mean, you'll be foreigners. Illegal aliens needing to show your papers the minute you cross that Niger Bridge in Onitsha.

You would have nothing like the rights you hold today in Nigeria.

Dot com people.
Tell them.. A real dot com.
I mean, who in his right mind will fight his neighbors on every side knowing he has a population overload that his resources (if they have any) can't cater for?

They Erroneously assume taking Asaba, Aboh, Agbor (The Anioma region) will give them any inroad into the Niger Delta Lol.

News flash, you are still landlocked without direct assess to the sea!

Breaking news, you still won't have the oil you seek in any significant amount.

Headline news. Your people will no longer be tolerated selling cheap Chinese items at every street corner, Traffic jam or market.

Your big transportation businessmen will go broke because their luxurious buses can't go beyond the borders of Biafra.
You can no longer hold the legal tender of Nigeria.
Banks, Electricity services, Airports etc that the Nigerian state ensures gets to Igbo land will be suspended.

Enjoy your dream

Only someone with slave mentality will still be talking about 50×50, property and residency when people are talking about their own independent country
Answer the question and stop trying to be clever-by-half.
1. Have you ever counted your hard earned money to buy Land? Anywhere, no matter how small even if 50×50?

2. In what ways have the destiny of your people been caged?

Bro, no amount of property or residency is worth we Igbos having our own independent country where we are in control of our destiny.
I ask you again? Have you ever bought a plot of land Anywhere? Even if it's 50×50? .

What part of your destiny is not under your control?
Because the last time I checked, the Igbos have enjoyed a free hand to establish their businesses anywhere they deem and succeed.
The Nigerian state made that possible. So I ask again, how is your destiny caged?

While you're talking about Edo/delta, just know that we Igbos do not intend to leave any of us behind. A typical example is the city of Asaba, capital of Delta state. Asaba indigenes are proud Igbos, Asaba is an Igbo city. When we leave, they leaving with us
I have told all my Asaba friends for more than 10 years to hurry up and leave Delta State for us.
We were cheated out of the capital initially.
They can cut themselves out to join the south east, no problem.
It's time Warri reclaim back it's lost Glory as the true capital of Delta State.

But don't expect to see another Kobo of Delta money to further develop Asaba

A visitor visa to go to Nigeria is a very small price for one to pay to have their own independent country

However, the issue here are the properties one has legitimately, but is no longer a citizen. Whatever laws that the Lebanese, Indians, Chinese and other foreigners have used to retain control of their properties in Nigeria is what the Biafrans will use to also keep their own
Your stupidity is legendary. You think granting you a visiting visa is the right of the visitor?
Your host may refuse to grant you a visiting visa and he is well within his rights despite whatever fee he charges you for the Visa

Besides, you don't get to own and hold property before you get a residency permit. Not a visiting visa

Your major headache is another man's property , don't kill yourself for noting .
The Igbos are not worried about the properties because we are capable of acquiring better and more glorious properties given the right atmosphere and opportunities .
After the Biafran war it took Igbos little time and little resources to recover, while other tribes are still struggling and marvelling at the magnitude of wealth the Igbos posses.
Igbo people are a wonder to the world.
Watch out for them anywhere in the world and you will see their imprint on the sands of time.

Are you this Ignorant? You honestly believe that people are not allowed to own property anywhere in the world other than their home country?

If that is so, why would any foreign investor come to Nigeria? He is not allowed to buy land, build factories(since he cant own the building)
You are the ignorant one here sir.
I am not concerned with what goes on in Malabu or Zurich. Our focus here is current Nigeria Land ownership laws.
Go through the land use Act 1978.
Go through your constitution.

Yes a foreigner can come here and get property on LEASEHOLD for 25, 50 or 99 years. That is permissible.

You won't know this because you all semi illiterate advocates will rather hurl insults than learn to be strategic.

The simple solution I have advised you people is to build alliances with your neighbors, do some horse trading... That way you secure your businesses, and assess to the sea and trade.

But No! You'll rather insult the Yorubas , and claim lordship over the Niger Delta including Edo/Delta that was never a part of your old East.

As I always say, Come and claim Edo/Delta na, that's when you'll know why the two states are named the Heart beat/Big Heart states.

Nothing, there are many houses owned by foreigners in Nigeria. The street I used to live in Apapa, Lagos, all the houses on that street were owned by Lebanese men.

If Igbos get there own country, international and domestic laws will come into effect, and they will be protected.

Infact, owning a house or property in a foreign country is a good thing because it almost assures you of residency rights in that country
Sir, go and check well. Those houses either were bought with the Identity of Nigerians fronting for them
Or they have lived here long enough to get citizenship

What becomes of properties owned by Igbos/Biafrans outside Igbo land, should Nigeria disintegrate?
This is a difficult and bitter answer, but I have to say it.

According to the laws of Nigeria, non citizens cannot own property in Nigeria.

It's either the property owner, rejects Biafra and pledge loyalty to Nigeria or they lose everything. Not just real property but businesses, enterprises etc.

It will be economic suicide on their part.

1.

The Bible says Give honour to whom honour is due

Lord Lugard was the father of the Modern Igbo Nation, they were not a Nation before Lugard

the Igbos were thousands of Villages who saw each other as rivals and did not see themselves as being connected to themselves in any way , Lord Lugard Changed that and put them together as a Nation

because he saw more Potential in them being a Nation than they themselves could see.

2.

Lord Lugard and the British were the only thing that stood between the Igbo People and the Transatlantic Slave trade and they

fought and Won before them the Igbo People were being carted off into the Trans Atlantic Slave trade at an Alarming rate.

the Ijaws ,Igala, Efik ,were all selling Igbos in huge numbers as slaves to the Europeans at the Coast

Lord Lugard had fought physically as a Soldier to end that practice

3.

Enugu Was built by the Same Lord Lugard

Yes the very same Lugard you Curse from Morning till night.

4.

It was Lord Lugard that led the Army that fought and finally defeated the Sokoto Jihad , killing both the Sultan of Sokoto and the Emir of Kano around 1906

He fought and defeated the Sokoto Jihad in disobedience to orders from his British Government because he believed the Sokoto Empire was too oppressive and was a Champion of Slavery and it’s total defeat was necessary for the benefit and peace of the People living in the Area today called Nigeria

On the day that Lord Lugard Captured Kano about half of the Population of the City of Kano were Slaves.
Pls kindly throw more light. This is interesting

Recall all your senators and House of reps members in Abuja, resign from all ambassador posts and resign all your appointments in the Nigerian civil service. For what purpose? Ethnic affinities?
They don't even speak the same language with you.

It is a better bargain to stick with the Niger Delta amidst other minorities where no single group can Lord over others than be second class in the comity of Igbo sub groups.

Your position above is the classic reason Christians are so far behind in the journey of their soul.

Seeking a fall guy to hinge all their failing on.

Since you are a closed book, i see no need to go ahead.
When you are ready, you'll be taught.

For the silent reader, look at the above quote on sacrifice, How does it sound, an innocent, ignorant animal you bought in the market will be made to carry your sins...

Then again did Jesus death qualify as a sacrifice in Jewish standards?

A sacrifice must be
-A kosher animal, not a pig, or camel, or human
-without spot or wrinkle
-offered by a priest who is ceremonially in a pure state
- On an alter of God
- altar must be made of 12 Uncut stones

I ask the descerning mind, do you believe the death of Jesus hung by pagan Roman soldiers in a place of unclean skulls qualify as a sacrifice?

Crucifixion was reserved for only those seen as enemies of Rome.

Think on this

Jesus Christ chose to do that. The very Law taught that a kinsman-redeemer has the right to redeem a debtor from debt.. The very Law taught that an animal may be killed in place of the sinner.

I believe even the Bible answered this when it said, no longer shall it be said that a father shall eat sour grapes and the teeth of the children are set on edge ...

Put differently, no longer shall this wrong notion be said that one commits a sin, and another suffers the consequence.

Also Proverbs advices all wise sons seeking wisdom to refrain from paying the debt of a stranger.

This law is upheld in every other religion

A different Person, yes.

I'm not sure I understand. When someone buys your debts and pays them for you, what law does that break? I'm not sure I've ever heard that that is unjust in any way.
So There is 3 Gods? Means there's a senior God bad a subordinate God?

If you believe this, then you should not find it hard to accept my position about heirachy among God's.

If you say no, then it means, that God killed himself to satisfy his anger because of the attrocities of mortals who sinned against him?

Consider this, if you throw a stone up, it falls to the ground, that's the law of gravity, if you light a fire, there's heat, smoke and ashes; that's the law of combustion.

How do you think one Rapes a child, steals from others, kills and harvest human parts from a victim who wants to live as much as youand think by merely accepting Jesus as having died for you all sins are washed away.

A pure example of justice as exists in the God-realm.

God cannot be mocked. Whatsoever a Man does, that shall he reap. You repent of evil and begin to follow the path of good will come with a long line of restitutive acts which will be atoned for within one lifetime or many.

Hello.

I wrote it myself, and if that's not enough, I often reread my own posts for their spiritual benefit.

No, I did not say that God punished Himself. I said that God the Father gave God the Son as a Man as a sacrifice for the sins of human beings.

I also did not say anything about perpetual amnesty for raping a child. I said that God forgives human sins because He provided a substitute for them. Anyone who does not accept that substitute will have to suffer the punishment that is due to their sinfulness.

I'm not sure what is unjust about all that. Maybe you could explain a little better.
So God the Father is now definitely a different being from God the son...

Ok, let's leave that there for later,

Now where is the justice in punishing one person for the sins of another ? That is against every known natural law.

God deals with laws, and everything God created is governed by laws....
Why should this be an exception?

Lolz... Holy ones have assumed human form and come down to earth to dwell amongst men.

The Bible is full of them, nay history is full of them, they are sent for particular purpose.
In the Bible, we have characters like:
Enoch
Melchizedek
Samuel
Samson

Others in history, Hercules, The Pharoas, the Ogisos and several others.

And being human who are born, they can also die ..

Death is nothing but transition, I wonder at Christians morbid fear of death.

I believe it was so inculcated into the church to spread fear and keep people in check.

Because on the other side is definite molten fire..

Ok.... This whole back and forth with the fellow is making me have fits of laughter...

But let me clarify certain things to you which I believe you have seen but glossed over.

The essence of religion is for mankind to strive for goodness. All religions that seek good and abhors evil is good.

There is no one true religion. God a multi creator of kingdoms, species, races, tribes, cultures and gender cannot make room for one religion..
It's like saying all machinery from cars to aircraft, phones, electric shavers etc all have ONE manual. It's not feasible.

Torah is the scripted account of the religious evolution of the Hebrews and YHWH.

Elohim on the other hand refers to the pantheon headed by God...

God is been translated to mean Yahweh in the modern Bible.

There's a reason YHWH was so protective of his people if there were not other Gods
