Well stated.

adanny01:

To properly design a solar back up system, one needs a lot of info from the client. The design is a hypothetical process but the equipment quality is key to achieving the design.

If i were to make the plan for you, i would need to know the average grid supply time in your location. I also need to know your geographical location to estimate the amount of sun rays as this is not same every where. The client also has to provide the least back up time he expects, some want 12hrs others 24, 48hrs etc. The load description has to be more detailed such as LED TV, LCD Tv, Plasma TV or cathode ray - LED being the least power saving and cathode ray the worst. A 40" LED could consume as little as 50w while a 40" plasma as bad as 200w. So it makes a difference to know the specifics. Ultimately, your budget needs to be put in mind during the design.

A solar back up system is like a desert trip, you have to properly estimate the quantity of water to carry. Too much, and you have yourself a deadly burden, too little and your life is at risk. When you get stuck in the desert, you manage your resources.

With the current rate of equipment, N1million wont give you a system that you will be comfortable with AC and fridge together. So with 1m forget the AC, 2m is workable but 3m is convenient. The more M's the better. The basics for design is choosing an inverter/charger and the number and types of battery. Every thing boils down to 2 things, back up time and charging time.

I have asked myself this question a number of times, "is the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria truly supreme in Nigeria? I believe it is functional and supreme in the south but in the north it is so obvious that something else is supreme or else sanusi won't be writing this, all the same good development, if they hear it!

MadamExcellency:
What does Osinbajo know about micro economic policies as the head of Economic team.

Instead of heading a committee on political and constitutional reforms to restructure the country s contained in APC manifesto, he went and accepted a portfolio he knows nothing about.

Buhari thinks that since the constitution stipulates that the Vice President heads the National Economic Team (NEC) where the 36 Governors are members is the same thing as Federal Government's Economic team responsible for micro-economic and fiscal policies hence the choice of Prof. Osinbajo. What a pathetic decision!

MadamExcellency:

Stop fooling yourself and your fellow zombies.

PDP took over a very damaged and seemingly irreparable country from successive corrupt autocratic Military establishment and built something presentable out of it where it left it on the first three best for direct foreign investment destination, only for Buhari to murder both the country's image abroad and the Economy with his careless rant about how everybody in the country wears corruption as cloth couple with his indecision in drawing a favourable fiscal policy for the next four years of his administration.

Buhari is everything that is wrong with Nigeria today.

People seem to forget that there are standards in both Electrical (Power) and Electronics (telecommunication and extra low voltage systems) respectively IEE and IEEE, this sensitive position seems to do/deal with regulation in Power! My take the appointee still is a misfit in that position, the nwoye guy from unilag wud have been better. let's forget the diaspora thing and the schools he attended rather let's concentrate on the projects he has worked on, they are all on extra low voltage systems, how then will he make regulations for high voltage systems? When different sets of rules play for both?
Literature / Re: Nairalanders, How Many Of You Remember These Timeless African Classics? by inaiduna(m): 1:15pm On Jul 16, 2016
No don't get it wrong, not during their burial, they should be remembered during their life time, that is why I said the title is the very opposite of its content, That we should remember our parents when they are alive. You still opined my exact words in your last sentence only you were more explicit.

Bluezy13:

We should not forget our parents, especially our mothers in giving them a befitting burial right

Because, in the book right from her childhood, the woman never tasted real happiness, the little she would have always ended up in sorrows....

There was never a period of arrived rest/peace/happiness/joy for her...right to her grave.
So, where is the assumed point that you opined about us not forgetting our parents

My point is, if there were to be a time of happiness and joy for her...to compensate for her tragedies...the writer should have made it possible, not in her death.

The bottom line is that We should not forget our parents/mothers in our pursuit of whatever while they are still breathing... not when they die.
Literature / Re: Nairalanders, How Many Of You Remember These Timeless African Classics? by inaiduna(m): 11:21am On Jul 16, 2016
You are very wrong, that book... after I finished reading it I had thick lump on my chest, you know that feeling you have when you want to cry but just cant justify your tears because people will ask why you are crying, that was the way I felt after reading that book, they should have changed the title to prepare us for its content, because the title is the very opposite of its content, Buchi did well with that book! It drives home the point that we should not forget our parents, especially our mothers in our pursuit of whatever.

You are talking about Mai Sunsaiye, Rikku's dad, He was the one who had the wandering tribal disease of the fulanis, because they placed a curse on him, it was not at the mention of the word sokugo, but it was rather as a result of seeing birds take to flight. The title of the Novel is BURNING GRASS smiley a beautiful piece by Cyprian Ekwensi, other beautiful books also I consider timeless in value.

1. A MATTER OF UPBRINGING - DIMEJI POPOOLA
2. SO LONG A LETTER - MARIAMA BA
3. A PLAY OF GIANTS - WOLE SOYINKA

Ishilove:

This took me down memory lane. Wow!!

I also remember another one written by Cyprian, about an old man struck with a spell of the wandering disease. Each time someone mentions Sokugo, the old man loses his senses and starts wandering upandan distant lands. I have forgotten the name but the plot has stayed with me all these years.

The headline is misleading, truth be told some guys are terrible but not all guys (Nigerians), something attracted you to him in the first place that made you start a relationship with him, from all indications that attraction is no longer there because you said it yourself that you have tried to call it off, I don't want to believe is based on your girlfriend's words but rather your boyfriend's actions that you are trying to quit, that being said stop being nice to him (this I know will be difficult if you are naturally nice, no offence meant), if there is no change sever ties with him wink!
