At the recent 28th convocation of the Federal University of Technology Minna, a female student Olanrewaju Ayobami Esther, emerged the overall best graduating student with a Grand CGPA of 4.88/5.0. She was a student of the department of Computer Engineering. Here's what she said to CampusDigestFutMx during an interview.

Correspondent: Can we meet you?

Esther: I am Olanrewaju Ayobami Esther, Yoruba by tribe and an indigene of kwara state from omugo/ oro-ago, ifelodun Local Government Area.

Correspondent: Did you started Federal university of Technology Minna, as a jambite or you did their foundational studies and
Was it your desired course you ended up studying?

Esther: I started with Jamb and it was not until after my fourth attempt was i given an admission. Yes! They gave me what I wanted to study.

Correspondent: Did you stayed on campus or off campus during the course of your undergraduate studies?


Esther: I stayed in the hostel all through, although I was squatter from year 1 to year 4. I only got bed space in 500level.

Correspondent: what made this feat easy for you to achieve?

Esther: It was God, hard work and I was surrounded by good people. I was in 4 units in church, And I took tutorials.

Correspondence: I can see you’re a very beautiful lady and I know there must have been distractions. How were you able to overcome all the boys wahala in that school.

Esther: I am very serious minded person and I Have learnt to separate relationship from academics; I don’t take love to the heart to an extent that won’t allow me to read. Love is separate, book is separate, any guy that wants to see will have to come to the class and would wait. I don’t have time for visitations except the ones that I know is important to my goal’s attainment.


Correspondent: Did you by any chance ever get a second class in any of the semesters?

Correspondent: From my 100 till date I have had 4 Bs and 2cs. The least cgpa I have had is 4.75, so I have never finished any semester with a second class.

Correspondent: Sorry for going into your personal life but do you have a boyfriend, during the course of your study.


Esther: I have a lot of friend, really nice friends and they came out as top in their respective departments. Alufa Samson was overall best student in civil, Moses Solomon was overall best student in electrical. Supreme was overall best student in telecommunications and my department best friend is second first class we have in my department.

Esther: We are only two first class in my departments The other friends I have are best programmers, hardware engineers and very good analytical minds such as abass, dims, bawa, chi, Samtech electrical, and I can keep mentioning names.



Esther: My best female friend is ifynanya, She is very good in reading courses and she practically taught me all through, and she inspires me to read.

Esther: I have good associations and they helped me attain my success

Esther: One of my good friend lovett taught the trick of e-exams. Lucky aloye taught me engineering drawing and he is one of the best people I know in terms of technical drawing.

Correspondent: This is very very paramount.

Correspondent: So what are your plans in the labour market.

Esther: If I may point out a flaw am not going to a labour market I am going out to a favour market. I believe I will help advance the market and bring technology to people’s doorsteps.

Esther: I am a believer and I think positively, I hope to use my leadership and managerial skills to advance anywhere I am.

Correspondent: Where you expecting to be the best graduating student?

Esther: I have always wanted to be the best of myself and I was willing to accept anywhere it leads me. All I wanted was not to blame myself for never trying.

Correspondent: Where you emotional when you were called out?

Esther: Not really. I felt normal. I believe the real hustle just began. “To whom much is given, much more is expected”.

Correspondent: Much more is really expected.

Correspondent: The entire campusdigest team is very grateful for the audience granted to us, we wish you success in all your endeavour.

why should the pastor resign? Can he actually force the grown up child? You should have even said 'should a pastor resign if his daughter fornicates(or even commits sin)' Why didn't he close down the church if his members go contrary to his preaching (the word of God)?

One good Friday,2014.

Chevron/agbami was on but I procrastinated cos of the amount I was going to spend on printing, scanning, traveling from elele to owerri for nin,and also stress looking for lecturer to sign the form for u.
Browsing subscription was there too , couple with the large number of people i was imagining would sit for the exam.


Lo and behold,I took it serious on the last day of registration/closing day.
Spent my last 1300 on the process.

I was among the two that won from my faculty that year when the results came out

what is the secret?

Is this why you attend the church? Stick to your purpose of attending Church.

Abba didn't lose per se but the election was inconclusive as his area of strength (his LGA and Otukpo hadn't vote) when Joe was declared.

Lawani actually Would have lost to Onjeh but Akume who promised Lawani the seat rigged him into the position and promised Onjeh Ministerial position...

With the LGA autonomy under the Governor, I don't know why these Chairmen refused to decamp with him to PDP last year. They'd be at the receiving end

Steven Lawani that could not even beat Dan Onjeh cleanly? What Has Steven Lawani done in Otukpa talk more of Ogbadibo the the Idoma Nation. The grassroot support is for Abba Moro and the fact that David Mark who's leaving the seat is bringing him up there is more interesting.
Lawani may only win in Ogbadibo if they just pity him as their son

You got it wrong this time. That was the only time and place he would have given the money. Secondly you assume that he is taking the glory whereas you didn't watch the video clip or attended the church to judge. You are just been sentimental to the kind gesture exhibited by the preacher. You would be the first to complain why pastors don't help and when they help you criticize

true but you know with the way the money was given out, it's possible (90%) that some employed and greedy members would still go and collect from it meanwhile the money was meant for 'Unemployed folks'

PS: Watched the video now and saw the 'significance' of his method of sharing according to him. His motive seems right and okay

My own advice is make sure you come to seek advice from here when your jamb result is out. It is your jamb result that will aid anyone to give you the best advice.

Fasting simply connotes suppressing the flesh and things of the flesh or leisurely thing to focus on spiritual things like bible study, preachings, prayers and meditation.
In fact it isn't too cool to be fasting and still be chatting on phones for long hours or reading leisurely things.

now I understand. The Way they differentiated between the NORMAL fast (49days) and DRY fast(21days) was the reason for my confusion.
I'm now more enlightened on the subject sef.

Lolzz. How can you call abstinence from food from 6a.m to 12noon fasting?

There are different types of fasting, hence you have to choose which you want to undertake, as your body can carry you.

Okay, let me say this to clarify. Sometimes, i do 3days dry, no water, no food. The last one, i commenced by 6p.m on sunday and drank water on Wednesday 6.p.m, then continued 12 midnight to 6p.m the next day, every day.

If you really want to be serious you can't go eating food by 12noon.

Make sure you define your terns before you begin, or you'd just be starving and could end up with ulcer. Ask yourself the reason you are fasting, answer yourself.

Again, if you fast without praying, you are just on a hunger strike. You must engage the supernatural. You must pull the substance of what you need to become evidence.
