Sleeping with someone else to get back at your man is like cutting off your nose to spite your face,

There are a lot more ways to "get yours back" that will leave you feeling smug with no need for apologies

They still have boring interior designs.

If you say so, however compared to the earlier models I think they are doing a good enough job and will some day soon get to the point where their models will have that wow factor, !

Nairaland / General / Re: Going To Naija This Xmas: Some Questions by indie22(f): 7:00pm On Nov 30, 2010
Well, I don't know any reliable cargo companies in america, I made use of their services when I lived in london and was relocating to nigeria, I'm sure some nairalanders in america can sort you out, I think there's a thread in the travel section on the cheapest and most reliable ways to send things from america to nigeria (that could be useful) or ill ask a couple of friends, who might know  and post a number or address here.
Family / Re: Could You Really Be A Committed Father That You Would. . . by indie22(f): 4:33pm On Nov 30, 2010
Erm, I think it would feel kinda weird seeing my husband breastfeed our child, it just won't seem normal, I have an uncle that used to allow his kids suck on his lower lip when they were babies (as a pacifier of some sort I guess) and would always cringe anytime I saw him do it, I just felt it was kind of icky!!

But then again, what do I know, I'm not a mother yet, maybe when I have my own kids some things won't seem so weird to me.
Nairaland / General / Re: Going To Naija This Xmas: Some Questions by indie22(f): 3:55pm On Nov 30, 2010
@ headkiss, maybe you should try sending you TV via one of the cargo companies that offer door to door services, they pick up your stuff like 2 weeks before you leave and deliver to wherever you want in Nigeria, but you'll need to hurry coz they re usually crazy busy over christmas, loads of people going on christmas hols and sending stuff "back home"
.

As for booking connecting flights, its not much different from the way its done in any other airport anywhere else,
Romance / Re: Would You Change Your Religion To Make Your Spouse Happy? by indie22(f): 2:17pm On Nov 29, 2010
Naaa, I wouldn't go that far for love, my sis did tho, she adopted the name "aminat", although no member of my family calls her by the name, and she'd already started tying her hair and wearing hijabs (not sure if that's the right word) before they got married, she even tried bringing up the idea of a nikai wedding, but my dad would have none of it, he told her they would get married in the church and afterwards she can be whatever she wants to be,

She's happy being a muslim tho, guess that's the bottom line (as long as it makes you happy)
Romance / Re: 'just Friends' by indie22(f): 1:34pm On Nov 25, 2010
I have a couple of strictly platonic male friends, that I hang out with sometimes, although we are "just friends" I'm almost sure if given a wee opportunity, they won't hesitate to take thing up a notch,

You have to actually like someone for you to want to hang out with them, so the whole "just friends" thing, actually involves some self control and "played down" emotions
Romance / Re: She Refuses To Wash His Clothes by indie22(f): 11:40am On Nov 22, 2010
A lot of single females do not understand what it entails to take care of a man, a home and children and the amount of sacrifces, compromises and patience that goes into making a marriage work and running a home, so ill say "never say never".

There are a lot of things I've said I will not do or take when I get married, but that's me not being totally sincere with myself because I know deep inside me, ill take and do whatever it takes to make my marriage work.

Just something for the ladies going all bent out of shape (to think over) over doing their men's laundry
Romance / Re: Hairy Chest Vs Gorimapa Chest by indie22(f): 11:38pm On Nov 21, 2010
I'm not a huge fan of body hair, gorimapa all the way!!!
Romance / Re: She Refuses To Wash His Clothes by indie22(f): 11:15pm On Nov 21, 2010
I would gladly do my man's laundry, its not such a big deal chucking a pile of clothes in the washing machine or carting them off to the drycleaners and even tidy up his home, afterall it'll be my home as well and I really hate to see filthy clothes strewn all over the place,

And I won't be doing it because I want him to think I'm "wife material" it'll be because that's what comes natural for me to do,

Romance / Re: Blackberry Palava: Babes N Stupidity by indie22(f): 11:19am On Nov 16, 2010
@ xandy

Whatever mate!! Its a matter of choice, mtn or zain, bb or nokia, if the uni girls are happy using their bbs as fashion accessories or throwing their bb parties, its their business, besides I really don't get why you think most people with blackberrys use them to "feel among" since bbs are quite cheap, and every tom, dick and harry owns one.
Romance / Re: Blackberry Palava: Babes N Stupidity by indie22(f): 2:34am On Nov 15, 2010
Er Xandy, I'm female and zain's bb service is still 4,750 bucks!!
Romance / Re: Blackberry Palava: Babes N Stupidity by indie22(f): 12:08am On Nov 15, 2010
@ gboyesh, no one's bending ur hand backwards for bb subscription, if people like bbs and can afford monthly bb subscriptions, why should it be anyone's headache, afterall its a free world and people are free to spend their cash as they like, if u can pay 5k a month for BIS please feel comfy to, if u can't go buy a nokia (no offence)
Romance / Re: Blackberry Palava: Babes N Stupidity by indie22(f): 11:56pm On Nov 14, 2010
Erm xandy, do u mind? I didn't come on nl to trade banter with anyone, there's no need for insults and name calling haba!!! Abeg free me jare!! Can't u just state your case like a reasonable person and move on!!!
Romance / Re: Blackberry Palava: Babes N Stupidity by indie22(f): 9:55pm On Nov 14, 2010
Lolll!!

I really don't get why there's beef for bb owners, whether its a fashion piece or a business tool, no be that one concern the people wey dey use am.

In any case, one thing a blackberry has that a nokia doesn't is the push mail and for that, I'm sticking with my bb!!! All bb haters can go suck on a lemon!!!
Romance / Re: Blackberry Palava: Babes N Stupidity by indie22(f): 12:30pm On Nov 14, 2010
My dear, owning a blackberry is nigeria is not such a big deal and its proves nothing, you're no different from any chudi, sola or haruna,
Romance / Re: Blackberry Palava: Babes N Stupidity by indie22(f): 12:09pm On Nov 14, 2010
@ james1, I totally agree with you, you can't hate a phone just coz u have no use for it, I love my blackberry, it makes my job much easier, I can send documents and files and communicate with my clients when I'm away from the office or my desk, my ex boss actually made it compulsory for everyone to own a blackberry that way we won't have an excuse for not replying emails or corresponding with our clients. Blackberrys really are for serious minded people who understand the importance of being on top of things when it comes to their business.

Granted a lot of chicks use their bbs as show pieces or as a way to keep in touch with their numerous chykers but all thesame there are working class chicks like me who understand the importance of owning one. Most of my clients are on my bb contact list, if they call me and I don't pick up, they ping and send me a msg, (Its free), I have friends and family abroad who don't even have to go out and buy a lebara card or phone card anymore coz they can send a bb msg to me and get their message across. My sis just had a baby girl while her hubby was away, as soon as I got to the hospital he asked me to take a picture of his newborn and send it thru bb msgr to him (my mum was shocked, she had no idea such things exists lol), I sell cars and my bb makes it easy for me to take pics of cars and send them off to clients, I don't have to go through email, no need waiting for files to attach I just take the pic and send it off and it gets delivered in seconds,my bb msgr now saves me actually using my phone to make calls except when absolutely necessary, all these scenarios makes a blackberry a very convenient phone, that's why I don't get people beef with blackberrys, granted for some its a fashion accessory but for some people its an absolute neccessity!
Romance / Re: How Do U Break Up With Him/her by indie22(f): 9:28pm On Nov 13, 2010
@ steeze, its kinda easier for us chicks to use that line coz obviously you guys won't go all bleary eyed and break out in sobs on us, I still prefer it that way tho, ignoring calls and going all cold isn't usually fair on the other person coz it leaves them wondering and confused.
Romance / Re: How Do U Break Up With Him/her by indie22(f): 9:19pm On Nov 13, 2010
Sorry poster but not picking up or returning calls is a quite cowardly, its easier to just sit down and "have the talk", you know, the whole I don't think I love you anymore talk, its cold but its straight to the point and honest.
Phones / Re: Mtn Coming Out With A Surprise Very Soon by indie22(f): 7:13am On Nov 13, 2010
Mtn actually has the best blackberry service and internet connection (as far as i know), i used their bb service for a couple of months before i bought a glo sim and realized that i had more talk time loading on glo with the same amount of topup, mtn really is just a very stingy network and dont even get me started on their rubbish customer service.

If they like they can drop their bb subsription to 1k5, im not at all moved,
Romance / Re: Advice Needed by indie22(f): 11:28pm On Nov 12, 2010
I certainly wouldnt want to even talk to an ex if he left me to go marry someone else, to add insult to injury he didnt even have the decency to break up first, he left her to find out from a third party, i presume!

If you trust her and you're absolutely sure she has no love whatsoever for the guy anymore then its fine, although i dont see how any reasonable woman would want to even be friends with an ex like that.
Romance / Re: ***why Are Ladies So Weak To Their X Boy Friend(lovers)*** by indie22(f): 11:11pm On Nov 12, 2010
Pennywise:

My experience over the years has taught me that there are two kinds of girls when analyzing this behaviour.

You have the kind that still goes weak in the knees when she sees you, irrespective of how long you 've been apart. Then you have the witch.

Everyman should know how to tell one from the other to avoid potential embarrassment.

You took the thought right out of my head.

It really does depend on how the breakup went down as well as  which category the girl falls into, thats why some exes will hate your frigging guts and never want to see you again while some wont mind giving you a once in a while treat.

Crime / Re: 17-year-old Peace Asukwo Commits Suicide Over Disagreement With Yoruba Boyfriend by indie22(f): 10:39pm On Nov 12, 2010
She's so pretty and looks so innocent, she would probably have forgotten about her boyfie and the whole heartbreak wahala in a couple of months if she had just given herself some time, guess she was either looking for a way to end the pain or wanted to lay a guilt trip on the guy, who knows!!, shame tho!!

RIP
Car Talk / Re: Why Are You Driving Manual gear? by indie22(f): 9:14pm On Nov 10, 2010
I used to drive a manual till my brother crashed my car, I hated every minute of driving that car through the lekki traffic, my next car absolutely has to be an auto transmission, clutching and shifting gears is way too much exercise for me.
Romance / Re: What's Your Deal Breaker? by indie22(f): 5:06pm On Oct 28, 2010
My first date with this guy felt like i was facing a 'Spanish style" inquisition, dude just kept on coming at me with a very tiresome question and answer session,

I was so irritated but managed to stay calm all through "our date", when he dropped me off at home i didnt even as much as shake his hand goodnight, i just muttered my goodnight, got off and edited his name on my phone to "don't ever pick",
