What's the brides favourite song?

What's the bride's pet name for the groom to be?

How did the groom propose?

What's the groom's pet name for the bride to be?

How exactly did he scam you?
Romance / Re: This Is Not Funny by indie22(f): 6:27pm On Jul 01, 2010
Most people don't ask that question to find out the depth of your pocket, they're prolly only trying to make conversation, don't see how it can be annoying unless the guy has a dead end job he's not proud of or if he's just a jobless layabout.
Romance / Re: Wt Wuld I Give Him On His Bday by indie22(f): 5:36pm On Jun 29, 2010
A romantic getaway is a great idea, but it'll be hard if you both live busy lifestyles.

A gadget doesnt have to be a xbox or ps3 console, it could be a phone, laptop, camera, or whatever techie toys available in the market these days,

If he likes music you could maybe get him a really nice mp3 player with a lot of his favourite tracks downloaded on it already,
Romance / Re: Wt Wuld I Give Him On His Bday by indie22(f): 3:06pm On Jun 29, 2010

Shopping for gifts is hard, but i usually try and make it something with a personal touch.

If he's a gadget freak, i'll buy him a new toy!

If he loves books and likes to read, get him something from his favourite author (make sure its one he hasnt read before or a special edition)

You can go for monogrammed bathrobes or jerseys from your husband's favourite football team
Romance / Re: Da Peeping Toms by indie22(f): 10:54am On Jun 27, 2010
My friend used to live in a building that was sort of C shaped with a courtyard in the middle and if you lived in any of the flats at both edges you could see clearly into other people's homes if the curtains were up, apparently there was this lesbian couple that always gave people a free show, One of the times I went visiting my friend, I noticed her brother was unusually quiet in his room, he didn't even come out to say hello, my friend laughed and told me he was prolly spying on the lesbian couple. I then banged on the door and asked him to let me in, he was giggling as he opened the door and burst out laughing when I asked him to show me where the free show was. He pointed to the window and lo and behold there they were, some blonde girl and a dark haired chick rolling and tumbling on the bed, curtains up and lights on! As if that wasn't enough the silly boy produced his binoculars, he giggled and said "for maximum clarity" lol! He wouldn't let me share his instrument so I left him to enjoy his free show
The whole thing was just funny in a very weird way
Romance / Re: At What Point Do You Enough Is Enough by indie22(f): 5:25pm On Jun 25, 2010
Usually the first touch, slap or kick is enough to start smelling trouble, but most people in abusive relationships just ignore the signs and dont actually walk away until it gets to the point where they just cant take it anymore or when they realize they are in danger of losing their lives.
Romance / Re: Funny Experience I Had Yesterday by indie22(f): 12:20pm On Jun 25, 2010
My phone number is actually on a couple of posts in the auto section, i get a lot of calls from nairalanders and i've done business with some of them.

I've had some odd weird phone calls but never any midnight calls, i've also had people who call up like they want to buy cars but all they wanna do is talk, I just try to stay as polite and friendly as i can, then if the conversation starts to veer from automobiles to something awkward, i politely tell them i have to get off the phone.

It's not such a big deal!
Autos / Re: The All New Kia Cerato 2010 Model! by indie22(f): 10:56pm On Jun 22, 2010
Ok, I shouldn't actually be saying this but kia spare parts are actually readily available in places like Ladipo but the only thing is being able to differentiate the original from the fake. There are over 19 Dana service centres all over nigeria and for people that live in the ikoyi/ v island and lekki axis is the new ultra modern showroom and service and parts centre in Germaine auto centre Lekki, Lagos.
Culture / Re: Why Do Yoruba Guys Marry Igbo Girls? by indie22(f): 2:04pm On Jun 22, 2010
That's the same way some people will say that igbo women are all about the money, they lack respect and will not be dedicated to you if you dont spend your life savings taking care of them and their siblings, (b4 i get crucified, i'm igbo too)

Tribe has nothing to do with certain qualities a woman might possess, it's more about the woman's personality and upbringing.

Family / Re: What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Having 2 Wives? by indie22(f): 6:42pm On Jun 15, 2010
One woman is enough wahala for one man, why anyone would want to compound their situation by adding another one is beyond me.
Romance / Re: A Club Girl? What Does It Mean? by indie22(f): 5:44pm On Jun 15, 2010
agabaI23:

Who do Nigerians refer to as a club girl? What does that really mean?

Does it mean that any girl that clubs is a club girl or are there some type of girls in a club that are classed as club girls in Nigeria?

If any girl that clubs is called a club girl does it mean that it is evil for a girl to go clubbing in Nigeria?
Answers please?

Dont see the evil in going out clubbing with friends once in a while, its only when you're a regular there and everyone including the bouncers and cleaners all know your first name that it becomes a problem.
Politics / Re: Lagos Bans Pregnant Women From Riding Okada by indie22(f): 4:25pm On Jun 15, 2010
Okadas (tho nescessary for some pple sometimes )are dangerous and a huge nuisance, they're are so bad in lekki that an okada accident is now a usual occurence. Half the time they are high on sum cheap drug they sniff from an handkerchief (dont know what it is, but i see them) or drunk on shepe or sum cheap liquor and even fight with car owners for right of way.

I've seen mothers carrying babies on okadas on the lekki expressway and wonder why anybody would want to risk their lives like that, ban them altogether or better still restrict them to inner streets, they should be not be allowed on any expressway at all, i think the keke marwa would actually be a safer option.
Romance / Re: Can You Sleep In The Same Room With Your Man And Your Friend For Days?. by indie22(f): 1:27pm On Jun 15, 2010
Creamish:

. . actually experienced dat one . . they tot i was actually sleeping. . it got to d point where i was facing them and they were soo lost in d heat dat they dint notice i was watching . . grin

Hehehehe!!

Why do people do that?

I'd rather spend the night in the hallway than sleep in thesame room with a randy couple and have to listen to their sexual  commentary all night.
Romance / Re: Why Do Women Hate When The Relationship Ends? by indie22(f): 1:21pm On Jun 15, 2010
dokwesi:

Babe i luv you gaan. Nice orientation

@ Souron. Even some naija babes would tell you that they would drink cement or acid if you dont get back into the relationship. My ex told me that we would be enemies for life it i dont give her a second chance. Meanwhili, i was the most unhappy fellow in the relationship.

@ Indie. But the getting over process could last a lyfetime right? wink. Now i see you have dat naija woman blood running thru your vains. Leave d past behind you jare and become friends. grin

If a relationship goes south and the man breaks up with me, (considering the reason for the breakup and how much in love i was with him) i dont want to smell or see him for the next couple of weeks/ months, its part of my own healing process, besides i dont want him trying to be friends with me, coz we we all know why guys do the whole ' we can still be friends thing'.
Romance / Re: Why Do Women Hate When The Relationship Ends? by indie22(f): 11:57am On Jun 15, 2010
dokwesi:

@ Creamish i definitely know that heart break is not peculiar to women alone. But would the bitterness/enmity heal the wounds of both parties? NEVER: Until we humans realize that the only way to heal faster is to become friends, then and only then could we advert resentment.

@ Missy, whatever the reason for the breakup- infidelity, dishonesty, attitude etc. Just know that no one would treat you the way you deserve. We could just try. Only & only you could treat yourself right. So try to erase such an idea.

Its just so funny that we xperience better relationships and still hold on to the pains someone caused us in time past. undecided undecided undecided

Ok, the bolded above has never worked for me, after break ups, there's usually a lot of crying and pain and all that wahala, so why would i want to be friends with the person causing it in the first place?
Romance / Re: Why Do Women Hate When The Relationship Ends? by indie22(f): 11:44am On Jun 15, 2010
We dont hate the man when things go sour, we'd rather not be friends with you at least for the first couple of months, It's part of the whole "getting over you' process.
Romance / Re: Can You Sleep In The Same Room With Your Man And Your Friend For Days?. by indie22(f): 11:36am On Jun 15, 2010
Why would i share thesame room with my friend and her man for days? what happens when they start getting intimate?

I have to lie down there, pretend to be asleep and listen to their soundtrack all night?

What happens if he somehow reaches for me in the middle of the night while his girl's sleeping?

doubt if anyone in their right mind would like that kind of arrangement, unless they are all involved in a 3 way, sounds fishy to me.
Romance / Re: Do You Believe In Finding Divine Parner? by indie22(f): 8:48pm On Jun 14, 2010
If you mean soulmates, no I don't believe in such.

I believe tho that people meet and learn stuff about each other, fall in love, compromise, make sacrifices and work hard to make it work. Relationships are never easy and there's no such thing as soulmates. (As far as I'm concerned anyway)
Romance / Re: Things People Do In The Name Of Love! by indie22(f): 7:32pm On Jun 14, 2010
My next door neighbour and friend is caught up in one of such scenarios, her "hubby" is married to some white woman in Germany and comes home once in a while (prolly to try and get her preggs) and goes back, she claims he's done it to get his papers, soon he'll divorce the white woman and send for his naija wife and his two kids. Does she love him? No, she hates his frigging guts. But the thought of finally moving "away" is what's still keeping her in the marriage. She always says "why should I be bothered, I live in a fine and comfortable home, drive a nice ride and my kids attend private schools".

She's sitting there pretending to her husband and his family to be very understanding and not minding that he has an oyinbo wife and all she's waiting for is when her hubby divorces oyinbo and comes back home to take her and her kids away, then the man will see her true colours!!!
Politics / Re: Gunmen Attack Senator Saraki’s Home by indie22(f): 5:30pm On Jun 14, 2010
Ibime:

Its a stitch-up orchestrated by the Saraki's. . .

Exactly!!

Seeing as the so called "hired assassins" were shouting for everyone to hear how they were sent from Ilorin to assassinate Senator Saraki.

She prolly staged the whole thing so people will think her brother is after her life.
Romance / Re: Will You Marry An Osu (outcast)? by indie22(f): 10:13am On Jun 14, 2010
My dad's best friend is a deacon in church, you can hear his amen a while away during prayers, yet he kicked against it when one of his daughters wanted to marry an osu, he actually threatened to disown her, i was shocked at his hypocrisy because i thought as a christian certain things should not matter anymore. Its not even about tradition anymore, its about a sensless segregation of certain people based on something that happened donkey years ago.
