Lots of apps here. I have worked on lots of android phones and I say we load our phones with what we don't need and at the end cry out over poor battery life
No application speeds up Internet connection. The only thing I know can do this is a script called v6supercharger, it those this by tweaking a whole lot of system configuration. It's quite a complex script. It's for only rooted users.

And as for battery saving apps. They are even the biggest battery consumers, they claim to save our battery by shutting down processes in the form of task killers but they end up as background processes. So no need to use them.

And one thing I hate the most are those avast and avg, what for? U dint need them.

3rd party music players aren't really d best. The music player should be ur favourite.

I've used tecno t3 and tecno m3 but what got me pissed off frm dos phones was the fact that no ota update and no compatible custom rom. That made me go for htcmyt4g. Since i got the phone, i've only able to install jx one custom rom which did nt suite me. I did a restore bk to the stock gingerbread which i'm tired of using. Nw i jx need one single rom to flash atleast to run BBM and other high classic apps. I believe that those android phones out there are jx there to always compel u to spend and over spend on them. They neva care abt ur pocket. U buy an htc, samsung, sony or whatever phone at an expensive tag only to realise dat u av a limited update and it's possible that u will be going for a newer phone soon since the one with u culd no longer receive ota update and one neva welcom the idea of custom rom

I didn't make all my conclusions based on some baseless grounds. Am a mobile phone geek, u can check it on the xda, my username is same with what I use here. When i tell u I know mobile phones I mean I know them more than most Nigerians. I have used almost all oem's, even if I never used tecno. Not cos it's not expensive as most of u think but cos I gat friends who own them and I have made contact with this devices tecno and the others like gionee, and other Chinese products. But I tell u something they don't come even close to Samsung, Sony, HTC, apple, LG and some other oem. Take for example there is this Chinese imitation of a galaxy tab 2 that was brought to my shop cos of a bootloop issue for sometime now, and tell now it hasn't been fixed cos of Inadequate resource. Another example is an itel beyond that was pattern locked brought to my shop as well, it took days to force this device into recovery to enable me wipe the lock. What am I saying here, this Chinese devices don't pack the technology innovation and convenient access that Sammy and others give their devices. I won't write tecno off totally, Kudos to them cos they have given most Nigerians a chance to to own an Android device. Then I talking about if u need octa core for this or that, not all of us push our devices to their limit, if I handle ur dual core tecno device for a day ur processor will have run half of its life span already, bear in mind I don't play games, but my device is a testing ground for most of the things I use in fixing other devices at my shop, from mods to scripts and to roms. I still say if ur tecno does all u want then fine, u don't nee Sammy and others. But if u an high end user then it isn't tecno u need. Good morning

Mtk is used on low end phones these days. Or maybe some Chinese manufacturers. The top game players in the chip industry are the exynos chips and the snapdragon. If tecno builds a phone to the level other oem do then we won't be seeing those phones cheap. Take for example Samsung HTC Sony have their own flavoured launchers they wear on their Android os but tecno dosent. And the mobile Congress in Barcelona is very close, Tell me if tecno will be there? I can answer for u NO!. That's the Congress that brings the biggest players in the game to one arena. If tecno phones posses the qualities most of u fans of their phones claim they have then let them be in Barcelona.

Samsung failed in their initial attempt to implement the octa core in Samsung galaxy s4, but they did promise to fix it via a software upgrade which I believe has been done. But the octa core technology has been revamped by Samsung mobile team to. Enable all 8 cores to run at a go and using less battery juice in the process. This is what Samsung is all about INNOVATION. Samsung is the reason apple has stepped up their game, Samsung is the player bringing in true competition into the mobile game. Head of Samsung mobile J. K SHIN told the press during the launch of s4 that Samsung simply defines what true innovation means. Samsung is king of mobile no matter how u try to define it. Tecno uses can enjoy their phones but don't u try and tell a Samsung user ur phone is as good as his or better cos that is fallacy in high places. If tecno think they got something to prove then let them win the market in their home country China.

hawqer: @OP what you seem to have done is simply compare flagship Samsung Devices with Tecno devices, budget Samsung Devices lack all that bell and whistle and are likely no match for Tecno's offerings. sure Tecno lacks an R& department and thus "somewhat" lacklustre specs. Now remember Samsung of years past (go back 6 years), their devices were hardly inspiring, beside Tecno is niche (made for emerging markets) for a reason- they know they can't fight the Android game at flagship level......at least not yet.

Not to flog an ailing topic but you get what you pay for, if Tecno develops a device with Amoled, 3gb ram, exynos chipset and invests a lot in R&, you can not expect the price to be "affordable". so let's move past the constant contrasting and enjoy the various brands and the sector of the market they are concerned with conquering.

And for those of u even comparing that name to techno to the name Samsung, I guess u have been paid by techno to help promote their cheap hardware. Now let's start with hardware.

Samsung hardware is far too superior for techno, techno have to sell their phones cheap so they don't have to spend too much money on making a hardware to compare with the likes of Apple Nokia Sony or HTC. But that's the category Samsung belongs, the competitive zone. Samsung has to build their hardware to meet the standards of other oem's but techno don't have to cos they believe Nigerians are dummies that will use anything sold for a price that equals a waste product. Samsung uses some of the best chips in the mobile industry, the exynos chip and the snapdragon, what those tecno use? Some worthless chip with bad processing power. Samsung uses some of the best display technology in the super amoled display, what those tecno use? Some screen looking like a phone of the early 2000. And for the battery Samsung phones pack very powerful chipset which requires good energy to process data at a fast pace so the battery has to be at his best. Techno phones don't really need powerful batteries cos they already have a chip of no value and display is like a wrist watch. As for the cameras, Samsung packs some very good cameras that can compete with Apple Sony and other oem. But tecno 5mp equals the 3mp on a Nokia Asha phone, what a shame!.

Now let's look at their software, the only reason why apple(crapple) keeps taking Samsung to court in my own thinking is cos they can't cope with the kind of innovation Samsung brings to software design.
