Kwankwaso singlehandedly made ganduje governor in 2015. They have always been best of friends from the days kwankwaso was minister of defence he took ganduje as his PA. They ran together in kwankwaso first term,after he was defeated they left together and returned together again. It was prior to 2019 election that they fell out with each other.

If you're talking about rivalry,you should be talking about Shekarau and kwankwaso.
