nonsobaba: APC will win by 6000~7000 votes from what is on ground. But they must be vigilant to prevent Tambuwal from manipulating the results in last minute desperation. Are you in sokoto? |

Tambuwal's victory will mark the end of God fatherism in sokoto. It has ended in Kwara. Let's stop it everywhere in this country. |

CID11: I'm not surprised. Apc is good in isolated polls and not general election. If Pdp were serious they ought to have declared them winner in the main election. The way i see it 2023 will be a tough election and since Buhari is going it will be tougher for the APC because they are mainly riding on his back. well i wish them luck. let the aggrieved go to court. who knows 2023 will be more about the credibility and acceptance of the candidates, not the parties. |

Donmedra: Corrupt and wick thief saraki lost his state, he peacefully accepted defeat and congratulated the winner. Same with gombe Governor but saint ganduje, ameachi and akpabio are killing their people You're right on this one. The desperation is just too much. I just wish we can reduce the money involved in politics in this country. It would help reduce the desperation for power. Let public servants be placed on salaries like civil servants. |

He who kill by the sword, die by the sword I don't understand your pains.is it not the same kaduna people that re-elected him with over 1 million votes? That means majority of the people there love what he's doing. sapoyoro: The Osun State Governorship Election Tribunal has said that PDP/Adeleke proved non-compliance to the Electoral Act in 17 polling units. It says it will deduct 2,029 votes from APC ‘s scores and 1,246 votes from PDP’s in the 17 polling units. Okay |
Politics › Re: Osun Election Tribunal’s Judgment: Live Update by Indispensable85(m): 11:05am On Mar 23, 2019 |
tuniski: The tribunal ascertained alteration in 17 PUs, ordered subtraction of votes. And declared the supplementary election as null and void. Even if the supplementary is allowed, the alteration and deduction still give victory to Adeleke/pdp. Okay |

This matter still long for ground ooo. I'm seeing some sense in this dissenting judgement o ooo. The issue now is that, does the law support deductions of votes in the case of cancellation or there is supposed to be a rerun? I think the normal practice is cancellations and rerun, not cancellations and deduction of votes. Let's just allow the law run it's full course,we'll learn new things from this case in the end, after the supreme court verdict. Good luck to Adeleke though! |

I think the cancellation of the 17 was another issue entirely... I will read more on it.. Okay! |

TyrantInAsoRock: Acknowledge INEC powers?
INEC has its own rules.. Which they flagrantly disobeyed.. They just don't act
PUs RO don't have the power to cancel PU result the tribunal have affirmed
INEC in their haste didn't tie loose ends on the doctor forms
one of the major grounds PDP won
Okay
Will SC upturn all these? No
There is no way Apc can prove the rerun is legal Okay! |

Politics › Re: Osun Election Tribunal’s Judgment: Live Update by Indispensable85(m): 4:23pm On Mar 22, 2019 |
OlujobaSamuel: The power to cancel, declare inconclusive and order a rerun has been affirmed by SC in various rulings, one of such is Kogi state. The major premise on which this ruling is found is that rerun was illegal, if subsequently affirmed by CA or SC to be legal, the judgement will retain Oyetola. I think the PDP should start working on how the rerun was rigged because I don't think the ruling today will stand further judicial test, else, we have so many election overturned except presidential and very few gubernatorial election. We might have to start preparing for election every quarter in one state or the other, as so many shall be overturned. Everything is looking so fragile right now. Well, fingers crossed! |

tuniski: Yes the 'constitutionality issue' of card reader was the defining stroke that swung it for Wike at the Supreme court. That's my point,my brother. The supreme court can just come up with one sentence and everything will just end. I'm not jubilant yet, until the supreme court gives his verdict. The dangerous thing is that you can't go anywhere else. Their decision is just like the golden goal rule in football then. I think Adeleke truly won that election. |
Politics › Re: Osun Election Tribunal’s Judgment: Live Update by Indispensable85(m): 4:11pm On Mar 22, 2019 |
OlujobaSamuel: This is another angle, SC already upheld the power of INEC to cancel an election and order rerun, the tribunal didn't reflect on that part in its ruling, that might be the only saving grace for Oyetola ati C of A and SC. It appears to be a very strong ground for appeal. It's like the tribunal declared the rerun illegal and deducted the results gotten from the 17 polling units where the rerun held from the both parties.if the supreme court can just acknowledge the powers of INEC to order a rerun then, there will be serious trouble for Adeleke. I want him to be favoured, because he actually won that election. |

specter: All PDP need do is win at the court of appeal. Once they can tackle issues for determination at the first appellate court, they are home and dry. Supreme Court hardly up turns concurrent judgements. Wike lost at both tribunal and appeal courts. Na supreme court change everything. |

fergie001: It will go to Appeal and perhaps Supreme Court if Oyetola wants to appeal.....
But I can tell you for free, with the work by the tribunal today; the thoroughness was very good,if not excellent....if Oyetola tries to appeal..he will be spending his money on nothing.....he is gone.... Don't be too sure o ooo....hmmmm...... Nigeria? Nigeria? Before u know, the supreme court will just say the tribunal erred by declaring the rerun election illegal. Story don change be that! The whole world know that Adeleke won that election. I've learnt not to expect too much from people in this country. |

It says the petitioners also proved that the Returning Officer has no power to cancel election results of a polling unit. @MobilePunch #AdelekePDPvsOyetolaAPC This is exactly my point, once a result is declared no one including inec can alter it except the tribunal /court. |
