Niger delta states governors are the greatest criminals on earth. The region is in mess with all the monies they've received nothing to show for it. The hungry masses will gather here with empty stomachs to argue over these thieves!

My only worry in this election is that ganduje won re-election. If Anini was alive he could've won election in Edo state. Maybe Evans can become governor of Lagos someday.

And, you think the North will produce another president after Buhari!
Just allow those kids to fool themselves.

you don't need just a state to win presidential election .. a kwankwaso or tambuwal/wike ticket will do miracle best believe.......the issue is can they stay and work together as one till 2023.
Who's Wike? You think this is Rivers state election?

tambuwal is your next president. Northerners ain't voting kafir(slave) over the son of the caliphate.

SS/se will be the decider
Will you just keep quiet! Are you slave to the north?
Are they better than or more qualified than people from other regions of this country?
If you're a slave to them, some of us are not.

All we want is good governance irrespective of political party ,congratulations to all of them and good luck to those awaiting results
You're a patriot. Most people here are only concerned about their parties winning elections, eventhough they're not known by the parties /candidates they're dying for on nairaland. To them it's all about the number of states won by Apc/pdp, not Good governance and dividends of democracy. Looking at the past 4yrs, you can hardly see upto 5 governors across the country who actually did well in terms of good governance. Most of them are back again with little or nothing to offer while the poor masses are calculating number of states won by these criminals across party lines.

Never knew PDP could win in the North.
Bauchi is PDP
Rivers is PDP
Adamawa is PDP
Taraba is PDP
Na so e be!
You're a baby in politics. Most of these states have been Pdp.

Who will be the PDP candidate for 2023

Tambual that only managed a victory

The sulking Atiku ....

Or the betrayed and betrayal kwakwanso

One of these guys is definitely heading to the Apc before 2023

Mark my words cheesy
Tambuwal is the easiest to decamp. He appears to be easily moved by cheap bargains.
Politics › Re: Plateau Governorship Election: Useni Rejects Outcome, Heads For Tribunal by Indispensable85(m): 9:10pm On Mar 24, 2019
Apc and Pdp will just be rejecting election results. Una no well!
Apc rejecting sokoto, pdp rejecting plateau. Bad losers everywhere.
Politics › Re: INEC Officially Declares Umar Ganduje Winner Of Kano State Governorship Election by Indispensable85(m): 9:01pm On Mar 24, 2019
It appears to me that the Apc thoroughly marked out Kano as a must win by hook or by crook. They didn't pay much attention to Bauchi and sokoto that explains why there was relative peace in those state. They left sokoto which appear far easier to win and went for KANO so as to have something to point to in their defence of ruthless rigging. Democracy is now as determined by the powers that be,no more a government of the majority. Too sad!
Politics › Re: 2019 Election: Oshiomole Vs Secondus Who Is More Successful? by Indispensable85(m): 5:16pm On Mar 24, 2019
Oshiomhole has it no sentiments about this. Once your party holds power in Aso rock it's a great advantage. That's where all the powers are concentrated. It's like comparing 50 silver medals to one gold medal in Olympics. The country with the one gold medal will surely come before the one with 50 gold medals on the table. President is everything in Nigeria. I'm not sure oyegun would've been able to return Buhari. oshiomhole played a huge role in that feat.

That's the pain my brother. Those who are supposed to deal with them across party lines are just being selective.
Where do we go from here?

It should be easy to understand voting patterns across the country but it seems intelligence is a rare commodity, especially on Nairaland.

Firstly, no northerner alive can defeat Buhari in the north. That has always been a known fact (one not obvious to PDP because it's full of dumb people).

Secondly, majority of Nigerians are politically informed so they vote for the candidates, and not the party (except the politically blind people who prefer to reelect a failed PDP governor because APC is a "satanic" party to them).

In summary, the people of Sokoto, Kano, Bauchi, etc. chose Integrity over Kleptocracy in the presidential election; and voted differently according to the credibility and performance of their various state governors.
Shikena

Modified: Let me take the chance to tell you what the very predictably dumb PDP will do in 2023.
They will pick another northern presidential candidate thinking northerners vote for fellow northerners, while APC will likely pick the most credible candidate it has from the South (West). Again Nigerians will vote for credibility and performance and APC will win. grin
Hahaha. ....... I like your analysis.

Anybody with brain will know all those politicians don't want anybody else but buhari.

We shall see how it goes in 2023
That's just the truth. The north wanted Buhari again and they voted in that direction.
If you see the way the votes came in from the north, you'll know it was a consensus of the north to return Buhari again.

but the decision made at the forum also affects every states, either positively or negatively...eg the disputed minimum wage. I remember when Amaechi was chairman of governors forum when he was in the pdp. He pressurised his members to approach president Jonathan to allow them share the excess crude money, which they succeeded in doing and this prevented the pdp from preparing for the raining day that time. Madam okonjo warned Amaechi of the inherent danger but he refused to listen and the result was what you saw in the recession that suddenly hit us in 2015. This is one of the truth apc would never tell Nigerians but we know
My guy I don't give a hoot about Apc /pdp because they're one and same. They're just crossing whenever the bargain is right,so let's playdown on this Apc and Pdp thing. If the governor's forum was a positive influence on governance, we would've since gone beyond where we are today as a nation, because the states make up the nation. Just do a research on the amount of money each state of this country has received since 1999 and match it with the level of development. You'll weep! The forum has not helped before and won't help now.

There's actually no Apc or Pdp. They're all the same group of people just changing when it suits their purposes and intentions.
Watch out for another round of decamping prior to 2023.

with Tambuwal winning Kano state, bala Mohammed winning bauchi state and ortom winning benue state, Kwankwanso won't decamp to any party. meanwhile pdp wins too in osun state. oyetola is a daylight robber including osun state.his days are numbered in osun state government.
Tambuwal winning Kano state? Take it easy bros!
As for decamping, that's the second name of most Nigerian politicians, you can't be too sure.
Anybody can decamp depending on the bargain. Them no send you and I.

so, you should also believe what I said about kano. We're all waiting. Honestly this is quite good for our democracy, i mean a balanced equation. At their governors' forum, they'd have to now lobby to get some things done. No majority carrying the votes anymore on issues that would only favour the ruling party. This is good
Who governor's forum help? You don't need governor's forum to be a good governor to your people.

Congratulations tambuwal, it's obvious you're loved by your people. He did better than the overrated kwankwaso. He gave a good account of himself in the presidential /national assembly election eventhough Apc /Buhari won. He has also managed to hold on to his seat. My only problem with him is that he's too fluid and chamelionic. He can decamp at anytime with the right bargain.

PDP Presidential Candidate 2023. Heir Apparent
His main competitor for the party’s ticket Kwankaso couldn’t deliver Kano so it’s a double victory for Aminu.
Everyone vastly underestimated him but he delivered for PDP in the presidential and held on to the governorship despite the strong opposition against him and his narrow pre-rerun lead.
He’s intelligent and cosmopolitan and would make a fine president. He should work on strengthening his national profile and delivering for the Sokoto people who stood with him.
Wike was proved right for backing him in the PDP’s primaries, he has Atiku’s modern and cosmopolitan outlook without the corruption baggage.
Keep quiet there J ooor!
Other parts of Nigeria na spectator abi?
Congratulations to tambuwal!

Kwankwaso is now dirty because he's Pdp, he wasn't dirty when he was Apc.?

I have always known you to be unreasonable. Normally, Buhari has never lost an election in Kano even when Kwankwaso returned to government house in 2011 under PDP. This northern guys vote for individual and not the party. We all know the rerun is a sham so Kwankwaso can never win in Madobi with the sham of an election. At times, just be casual with the truth and stop acting like Keyamo and co
It's unfortunate that people are so blinded by their support for a political party to the extent that they can't think rationally anymore.
