Hello,
pls i want to register my small scale company under coperate affairs;
how do i go about it? help me.

Burafato
Small scale then you need to register a business name.
Visit the nearest CAC office nearest to you.
You are going to obtain some forms you will be required to fill.
Give them your business name for availability.
Once the name you want is available,you will be required to pay for the name.
Then,

Let me wrap up,

Let Alpha = & and beta = $
Therefore from the equation
X*2 +5x – 2 = 0
We will have a= 1, b = 5, c = -2
Sum of roots, & + $ = b = 5 = 5
a 1

Product of roots &$ = c = -2 = -2
a 1

1. (&*2 + $*2) =[ No factors or maybe it is supposed to be
( & + $ )*2].
If it is (& + $)*2 then (& + $) = 5
Then (& + $)*2 = 5*2 = 25.

2. 1 + 1 = & + $ = 5 = -2.5
& $ &$ -2

3. FROM DIFFERENTIATIONSOLVE Y = (X SQURE + 4) 9X RAISE TO POWER 3 + 4)
Soln

Y = (x*2 + 4) (9x*2 + 4) if I got you right
Let’s go……….
Let (x*2 + 4) = U
And (9x*2 + 4) = V
Therefore Y = UV

If (x*2 + 4) = U ;then du = 2x
dx
And (9x*2 + 4) = V; then dv = 18x
dx

Product rule = dy = Udv / + Vdu
dx dx dx

Putting parameters we have
dy = (x*2 + 4)18x + (9x*2 + 4)2x
dx

Expanding dy = 18x*3 +56x +18x*3 + 8x
dx

dy = 36x*3 + 64x
dx

dy = 4x [9x*2 + 16]
dx

Let me see if I can simplify further.
Ditto!

Hi,
Sure there is hope of getting admission in Ksu.Do want to know how?
Do you know anybody there?
Let me know how far you have gone about
securing the admission so that I can advice you.

Cheers.

2. IF ALPHA AND BETA ARE D ROOTS OF THE EQUATION, X SQUARE + 5X-2=0

THEN FIND THE VALUE OF (I)ALPHA SQUARE+ BETA SQUARE (II) 1/BETA + 1/ALPHA

Soln

X*2 +5x – 2 = 0

X*2 + 5x = 2

Add the square of half the quoficient of x to both sides;
This is what you get;

X*2 + [5]*2 + 5x = 2 + (5)*2
(2) (2)

(X + 5)*2 = 2 + 25
2 4

Am I on course?
Busy now to finish it up soon.

Catch ya.

blackspade:
In my class we're going over the pythagorean therom, I'm not totally lost, but I know if I don't do anything now, I'm not going to get an A on the test.

Okay, I know the basics like: a^2 + b^2 = c^2 . . . . but I get confused when I come across a question asking me to find the missing lengths (eg. solve for x), or even worse, the word problems.

Are there any good mathematicians who can help me a bit, please?
Soln

a c

b

considering the right angled triangle above

Pythagoras theorem has it that
a*2 + b*2 = c*2

a = opp
b = adj
c = hyp

Then it is very easy to substitute any of the letters with
Other ones e.g.
You could have x,y,z
X = opp
Y = adj
Z = hyp

So finding missing length is very easy.
If a = 3 ,c = 5 find b
We know that a*2 + b*2 = c*2
Therefore b*2 = c*2 – a*2
So b = square root of c*2 – a*2
B = the square root of 5*2 - 3*2
B = the square root of 25 – 9 =16
B = square root of 16
B = 4
In a like manner you solve equation concerning right angled triangles

You can solve this type of problems with these simple steps.

Read the question.
Get a pictorial impression of the question.
I.e. draw the diagram
3. Identify which is the opp,adj and hyp from the question and label
Them accordingly.
With the general rule or formula a*2 + b*2 = c*2.Fill in the gaps.
Smash the problem. And get the answer.

Cheers.

Education › Tell Us How You Got Into Higher Instituition by infogenius(op): 9:05pm On Aug 10, 2009
Hi Forumites,

I am a little bothered that despite how easy it is to gain admission into higher institution of learning these days. Many candidates that apply for these institutions do not get admitted even into their local Universities.
Why is it so?

Any way I am a graduate, but frankly speaking it was not easier getting admission in the 90s as it is now.
How did I get admission? You may ask me.
My getting admission then was a function of knowing exactly the right person and using my ability to get  what I wanted.
Simply put, I used what I had to secure admission.

Tell us how you got your own admission in your own time.

Cheers
