hi dear, im gonna tell u guys the truth about madona uni or wat ever its called. i was one of d pioneers student sof that school and believe u me there is nothing to write home about it. being the first set we found ourselves in shock when we were given rules and regulations of d sch. mind u this was after we've paid our school fees. d girls were nt allowed to chat with boys for a long time, alot of students were expelled for no jusified reason other than d sch needed the space for new intakes. though it was and still is a private uni, we found ourselves using pit toilet,bathing outside d bathroom cos there was no electricity or bulbs in d bathroom.on a no of occasion we say pythons by the toilet pit in brode daylight and all they did was to sing for the snakes to go back to their hiding place. the students were treated like criminals in a prison, abused and locked up. yes the school had a cell where they lock up students; i remember a classmate became insane after she was locked up and whenl she was released she wasnt herself she ran around the sch naked. her family had to take her home and she never returned. a university should nt only be where we learn to read nd write, there shuld be a positive impact on d student. there shuld be freedom of speech. yes they said no strike, waz d need of going to a uni when u re nt bold to face the society cos they were holed up somewhere in the name of school. my advice before u accept their admission offer ensurd u]see things urself.

@infogeniuos i am considering the relevance of first degree,i have also looked at the period for both DE and PGD but my guy with the situation of things in nigeria now, there is no substitute to a university education unless you want to feel inferior under your university counterpart

It not a matter of inferiority but what you know and can contribute wherever you may be found.My brother B.sc good but the fact is with the masters in your kitty nothing like inferiority.

You get masters for biochem,I get masters for Biochem.It is the same thing it now depends on our individual experience and knowledge inherent in us.

I am only looking at the end (Masters thru PGD) and not what you have now.

I read like craze because I was afraid of failure and being left behind by my contemporaries.

I desended on all the past Jamb questions I could lay my hands on and chewed them all to pieces. A lot of peeps who knew me felt I would pass easily but I wasnt so sure. Infact I thought I was going to fail (it would have been a first though ).

The result came out and it was a blast (one of the best in Nigeria for that year). I like to talk about it b/c it is to me one of life's more elusive moments of glory.

first of all ,i thank d almighty God for my admision. mak una help thank prof lattef hussein lasu v.c for fair admision policy , lasu v.c is d best in nig . i wrote my first post ume in lasu and believe me i got adm to acc dept without spending one kobo, if u knw u ar good and brilant , go and try lasu postjamb and yur adm sure 100%.lasu conduct post ume and after 4hrs d result was release. no sch in nig has ever done dat. greatest lasuite

I'm a graduate of d university of lagos(unilag). I got admitted in d 2009/2010 academic session. I did jamb nd i passd fairly well, did a computer based post ume exam. D results were out bt on checkn my result,my registration numbr was invalid. Complained severally at d admission office but to no avail. Weeks past bt i still had no result. To cut d story short,my result was l8a releasd precisely on d 24th of august 2009! When d admission lists were out,i saw my name nd i was overwhelmd wit joy. Thank God 4 my academics nd seeing me through it.

please i need your advice on the step i am about to take,i am an HND holder and i am 25 years old,i regret ever attending a polytechnic because of the way i was treated by my first employee after service.So i decided to obtain direct entry form and chose UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN and BOWEN UNIVERSITY IWO as first and second choice respectively.Bowen has offered me admission and i am also expecting unilorin admission list.My fiancee who is presently serving in sokoto state is a graduate and has been telling me not to go for DE but instead do my PGD.she has stopped calling me and even when i called, she either not pick it or answered it relunctantly,i have tried to explain to her on a number of occassions all to no avail.i guess she wants to leave because of this and i also want to satisfy my heart desire,what should i do?

Quite unfortunate tale,anyway I quite agree with her,move forward use your nd to leapfrog.Get ahead and do your PGD,from there you can get your master degree.

Consider the time you would use to attain your master degree if you enrlled for PGD and the time if you took DE.
My friend ND is also a degree use it to move forward.
