Nigeria is a beautiful bride that is being courted by many suitors. Goodluck is working.

Soon the presidents of France, Russia, Germany and China will be in Nigeria

doctokwus: U nid serious education& if u av passed thru anykind,u need to repeat d entire class(es). So because dey were murdered in Eggon area by yet to b known assailants, based on an unsubstantiated report makes d eggon responsible?Ur reasoning is pathetic
Since you have a high reasoning ability, read this and tell me what you can deduce from these statements

13volts: According to my source, the convey went into a village located deep inside Eggon tribe to effect arrest of a suspected arms dealer and a traditional witch doctor who are fueling the land dispute btw Eggon tribe & Mada tribe in Nassarawa state. However it was suspected that some one might have tip the Eggon people of the inpending raid, of which an ambush was laid resulting in the death of many.
The motive for the crime lies with the eggon people

zetdee: Looking at this link Nigeria's high population should worry any Nigerian. http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSBRE9380DH20130409?irpc=932
Nigeria's population is more quantify than quality.

Other than football (though the PSL is rated as the top league in Africa) Nigeria is not at SA level when it comes to sport, judging by last summer's olympic games South Africa is way ahead of Nigeria.

Arts and culture, South Africa has produced world class artist in Music ( jazz, opera, pop, raggea, classical, traditional, house etc. South Africa has produced world class theater productions that have won international awards. Nollywood may produce alot of movies, but it's more quantity than quality, South African movies, soapies, dramas have been nominated and won many international awards. We produce world class television series, many Hollywood movies are produced in South Africa.

South Africa has more than 100 companies operating in Nigeria.
You are entitled to your opinion
Nairaland GeneralRe: Striking Down Rule 17 by Inik(m): 11:24am On May 09, 2013
He was actually at a crossroad between being greedy and being fair.
As a businessman he chose the former.

I have some form of respect for Mr Seun as a businessman.
An issue like this shows the thin line of separation that exists between being a good leader and being a good businessman.

He is well aware like most people are saying here that religion is a sensitive issue, he is also aware that given similar conditions of insults and intolerance, of all the religions, Islam is the the religion with followers that are most likely to spark first. He knows the various comments on nairaland containing insults against religions are partly what makes the site fun and unique and subsequently rakes in money.

He has only tried to balance it by removing insults to Islam which he knows could spell trouble but tolerating insults to other religion which is relatively harmless.
He knows he can't generally apply the rule as this will make the site too rigid, boring and so he will lose patronage.

He knows its unfair as he has honestly agreed but as a businessman he is greedy enough to know that Christians will only rant and rant but will not pose any threat and will not boycott the site as well and infact their rants will only make the site more fun.
Funny someone even opened a twitter handle to canvass people to boycott nairaland, this will only make the site more popular and rake in more for Seun.

He obviously has chosen to strike the rule off for now, but in the future I'm sure another action will be taken in a bid to reduce the insults against islam.
Good analysis
Nairaland GeneralRe: Concerning The Controversial "New" Rules Of Nairaland by Inik(m): 9:04am On May 09, 2013
Seun: Many Muslims don't like rule 17.
Many muslims do not like it, all christians do not like it, all atheists do not like it, all pagans do not like it, then the rule should be removed or revised to include all religions.
PoliticsRe: Electronic Voting In 2015. by Inik(m): 8:57am On May 09, 2013
Yes, we are ripe enough to use electronic voting system in Nigeria. If rural indians can use it then we can, it is not rocket science. Electronic voting saves time and eliminates rigging.

Aliko Dangote is a great man, a good manager of men and resources. There are other people who came from richer homes but frittered away their fortune.

PoliticsRe: Ifeanyi Ubah Donates N5M To Church by Inik(m): 10:28pm On May 08, 2013
chino24: My friend if you care to know exactly who I am..I dare you to come to Fed. Sec. Awka that way you will know that Ifeanyi is living on 'Blood Diamond and Fuel Subsidy'. We should learn to celebrate decent, lettered and exposed people internationally like Obi, Soludo, Akunyili, Ezekwesili, etc

Ifeanyi Uba is an epitome of thuggery and unlettered. Anambra the brain box of Nigeria does not deserve to have such a dunce as its leader. I can bet the Ifeanyi cannot write his name talk more of spelling Anambra.

Obi has brought civility, excellence and integrity to Anambra so we do not need a tout in the name of Ifeanyi. Let him continue to share the money..but during election he will receive the shock of his life. We Anambrans are wise people.
grin Is he that bad?
PoliticsRe: Ifeanyi Uba Gaining Massive Support In Anambra State by Inik(m): 10:21pm On May 08, 2013
As long as he is qualified to contest he should throw his hat into the ring and see how far his fortune will take him. However with the subsidy fraud hanging over his head i don't think he will be able to scale through the hurdle to get his name on the ballot.
PoliticsRe: Northern Elders To Jonathan:leave Govs Alone,solve Nigeria's Problems by Inik(m): 10:14pm On May 08, 2013
Its a good advice but coming at the wrong time. Goodluck is not fighting any governor. The elders should be more concerned with finding a solution to boko haram that is gradually turning the north into an empty wasteland
PoliticsRe: Ten Gbosas For NL Moderators, Super Moderators And Administrators by Inik(m): 10:07pm On May 08, 2013
I have also noticed it too. The moderators in this section are doing a great job and they should be commended. The moderating has definitely improved. A lot of posters are being more cautious with what they type now to avoid being banned but the diehard tribalists are still holding on to their rigid opinions.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria & South-Africa Aim To Strengthen Ties by Inik(m): 9:20pm On May 08, 2013
andrewza: Population? Yes but it not a advantiage. Far from it.

The availability of labour is high. This could turn to cheap labour due to the competition for jobs therefore leading to faster development due to decreased costs and higher production meaning a higher income.
Higher chance of skilled workers.
Business will have a very large market because of the high and wide variety of demand for goods.
The population will be paying tax. More people means more money for the government which then means that they can build hospitals and school etc.
In war situations the country with the larger population will have the upper hand.

Arts and culture? Never heard any thing about this from a nigerian side. Other than a few books I read in school.

Read up the contribution of Nigerian literature to Africa. Peter Abrahams your best known novelist was inspired by Nigerian writers

Sports? No maybe soccer but that is it. In every other aspect SA sport secien is bigger, better funded and better perfoming.

True but we are better at soccer. Cricket and rugby are not popular sports in africa

Relgion? Your 2 mian groups are trying to kill each other. How is that a good thing.

We have exported our brand of Christianity to South Africa, our mega churches are dominating the south african scene

Nolloy wood may make movies like you breed children. But that dose not mean much. SA make movies and tv serries for the internastiol market.

Nollywood is the third biggest movie industry in the world, nigerian movies sell like hot cake all around the world

Other than popuasltion nigeria has nothing on SA. And in a since that is all we want. South africas local market can not support the output of our industries. We need a large resnably wealthy market. AKA nigeria.

Your biggest exports to nigeria are Mtn and dstv. These companies make more money in nigeria than in the rest of the continent cos of our large population
PoliticsRe: Nigeria & South-Africa Aim To Strengthen Ties by Inik(m): 8:54pm On May 08, 2013

Nay, Nigeria played a big role in crushing the apartheid regime http://www.gamji.com/article8000/NEWS8020.htm
