FamilyRe: Women Who Earn More Than Their Husbands! by InkedNerd(f): 11:27am On Oct 11, 2010

Nice thread.
Lets face the fact: more women will be earning more than there hubbies in the years to come. Girls go to school as much as boys these days. And considering temperament girls tend to do better than boys in career and education.
The situation should have first been judged well in courtship. Later in marriage, money issues should be worked at and solved. If not there will be unhappiness and maybe divorce.
I think it really doesn't matter who makes more. But if the wife does, it will be a test of her ability to submit and a test of the man's ability to manage his ego. I only pray we pass the test: as anyone can find his/herself in that situation.
Submit to what? huh

Yes I had to go there  grin  While I'm at it, I can't stand the new Strawberry Shortcake grin grin Techno cartoons sucks big time (thanks to pokeman and yugi oh cry  ).  Your an ad student! cool. I've never heard of clutch. Thanks. I'll browse it before shut down for the morning.
Hehehe, I liked Pokémon. It's Yu gi Oh that I couldn't stand. Omg, am I the only one annoyed by all the new weird Japanese anime shows? tongue. Clutch is a cool magazine, try not to let some of the comments on the site annoy you when you read an article there grin. Some of the stuff people write on the site is just mind boggling. In fact some of the authors of the articles don't make sense grin. It's still nice to read though.

Inked Nerd, hw about u get job as a counsellor? your post always sound matured and professional.
lol, thanks wink. As for the job, well I wanna be a s.ex therapist later on in life but that's a whole different topic. I just hope the poster resolves this issue. Stuff like this can really drive a wedge in a family cry.
Nice one Inked. @Poster have you considered the fact that the elder sister was in love with you? You may think that you guys were just friends when she had something else in mind. If this is right, then it's normal for her to be jealous seeing you with her younger sister.

Sit her down and talk. That way you will know why she's against you.
Thanks wink

I can't stand Miley Cyrus and her stage love-vendor papa, same thing I think the Smiths are doing to their children. I lived to wake up on Saturday mornings to watch super friends on abc back in the 80s with a big bowl of cornflakes  grin grin grin.  My brothers and I use to fight after school to watch tom & jerry, woody woodpecker, He-man & Shera. 5 pm sharp, was Wonder Woman. Then it was time for homework, dinner, dishes, bath and bed. I doubt the kids of today can remember what they did the day before. I firmly believe in letting children be children regardless of what decade we live in.

*Ink, there's a channel called qubo that shows He-man & Shera. started last week and I don't sleep until 1:30am just to catch it, " great childhood memories are the pinnacle of life" grin grin
ochungal, ya just had to go there huh? Now I 'm really missin' my cartoons cry cry cry  ::sighs:: Where did my childhood go? I'm an advertising student so I kinda understand why things are the way they are in the media. . . I remember watching Nickelodeon a while back and started thinking about how things have changed. Anyway, I have faith in Willow and her parents. I highly doubt that they'd let her be a victim of the industry. Idk if you read Clutch Magazine, it's an  online magazine. Here's a link to some of the articles they've written about the young starlet >>> http://clutchmagonline.com/index.php?s=willow+

Talk to the older sister and explain what your intentions are. I understand why she is upset. She's just being protective. I have a younger sister as well and I know at times she tells me that my guy friends are cute or that she wouldn't mind dating them. I know where the sister is coming from with her actions. Remember, this is her younger sister we're talking about--her flesh and blood. It only makes sense that she would want to protect her. If she knows how you were in the past in terms of dating, can you blame her for wanting to keep you away from her sister?

Can we focus on the main problem here which is "NIGERIAN MEN who cheat"and not "WESTERN WOMEN who marry and divorce as many times as they like".
Hehehe, I didn't even realize the topic was kinda going wayward.

IyaBasira:
Inked - Nerd ; Thanks. I'm trying not to let it affect me. But its extremely hard. I know its bad to feel that way, especially if the guy was faithful. If he was then I feel sorry for him, but most of the time I'm just glad that there is one less guy to say "African Men, not women are programmed to spread their seed and so it is acceptable when a man cheats but abominable when a woman does."
No problem, just keep ya head up. You'll be fine wink.
FoodNigerian Holiday Foods/Dishes by InkedNerd(op): 9:09am On Oct 11, 2010
Hey everyone grin

I wanna know what are your favorite holiday foods. Doesn't matter what holiday it is. As long as it is special to you, go ahead and name 'em. Do you eat these foods only on holidays or do you like 'em so much that you eat them year round. Can't wait to see your responses wink.

Glad yu see it. Cartoon Network is a No go for the kids. I just got my niece off the Hanna Montana hype, Miley is beyond Disney now a days. Although, I can't stand Disney its the safe for the kids. Nickelodeon doesn't make sense any more. Ravine Simone is the only one who stays along the lines of children friendly contents. The only song willow could do that would be kid friendly, Jay-z made his name off of, grin grin grin grin "its a hard knock life" from Little Orphan Annie.
lol, I miss the old school Nickelodeon, Disney, and Cartoon Network. I remember when the ABC Family channel use to be called The Fox Family Channel. They used to have nice cartoon then cry cry cry. Well, at least there's Youtube so I can reminisce on my childhood grin. I was never a fan of Hana what's her face. I don't have anything against her though.

CelebritiesRe: Question About Willow Smith by InkedNerd(f): 8:42am On Oct 11, 2010
Ok, I see what you're saying. Even the shows on Disney, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network are sexualized. I've also noticed that a lot of them are sexist as well. There are so many sexist undertones that are in these supposed children shows. Smh.
FamilyRe: What Will You Do If You Caught Your Spouse With Another Guy? by InkedNerd(f): 8:38am On Oct 11, 2010
Hmmm, I'd just walk away from the whole relationship. There's no competing with a man's p.enis. I know I won't be able to provide whatever it is that he desires that would have made allowed him to engage in another relationship/s.ex with another man so I wouldn't be bothered by it. All I would ask is if he had feelings for men that  he should have stated it before hand. Anyway, I'd just try to leave the relationship on good terms. I may have been jumping ahead of myself when I responded but I'm curious to know, when you say "caught your spouse with another guy", what exactly do you mean? Do you mean in a sexual manner or having a relationship but without s.ex involved?
RomanceRe: Am I Wrong by InkedNerd(f): 8:17am On Oct 11, 2010
@OP: Like the girl stated she's been labeled a home wrecker and that is what she is. I understand that she liked her sister's husband before she introduced her sister to him but if she liked this man as much as she claimed she did, she should have made her feelings known from the get go. Another thing she should have done was to speak to her sister and tell her how much she really liked the man. I'm sure if they were really as close as she claimed they were, she [the other twin] would have understood. Now that her sister has married the man, she [the twin telling this tale] should have backed off. Although she says that the husband initiated the whole thing, I'm quite sure she had enough sense to know what she was engaging in was wrong. It takes two to tango. She could have easily walked away from the whole thing but instead she chose to go through with it--Not once, not twice but three shameless times!!!At one point it almost seems as though she was trying to put a lot of the blame on the husband when they had s.ex. The fool even goes so far as to blame the sister for the situation just so she can justify her actions. To be honest, the manner which this post is written seems as though she wants us to feel sorry for her or that we should all agree with her actions. She has done nothing more than cheapen herself and help to destroy a marriage. The fact that she even used the husbands idiotic excuse as a green light for her to continue the shameless affair shows how much of a slowpoke she is. She is nothing more than a rag to this man. The way people reason in order to justify their moronic and selfish ways is beyond me. Smmfh!!! Hopefully with time she will receive her own comeuppance.

Nine years old should be busy reading and writing and hanging with other nine year old CHILDREN. A say bad parenting (no special treatment because of parents and record label). I'm sure the craddle-robbers of the world will enjoy this. She should be singing a remix to Barney and Sesame Street.
Ummm, most children grow out of the whole Barney and Sesame Street phase by the time their nine undecided.

@inked,
from your comments so far i have come to see that you are (or will be) an extreme feminist, which i think will not be good for you because whether you like it or not almost ALL nigerian men cheat and they will continue to, besides men are the rockers. And by going with your statement that you will just kick everyman away that cheats on you then i guess u'll really have alot of heartbreak to deal with except you are dealing with the yankees.
I dont also think we should copy word for word the western ways.
Ok, once again keywords here are ALMOST ALL. How am I being an "extreme" feminist when I have defended some of these men? Its not like I went around bashing my brothers. Yes, some men cheat but I don't allow that to cloud my feelings for the remaining individuals who don't. My post was based on an observation I noted on Nairaland. I never said that you or anyone else needs so emulate the western ways of dating. So because I don't want to put up with rubbish its a bad thing?
