PRINCEJV2:Hehehe, dude I just brush it off and keep it movin'. Its not the end of the world. I'm not one of those people that dwells on things like that. Can't move forward if I'm still looking in the past. Besides, I don't take things like that to heart. Its like if a guy breaks up with me or if I was to see my boyfriend cheating [don't really have a bf, just an example] to me its nothing. I just give 'em the deuces and call it a day. No reason to get all torn up over it. I'm got more important things to deal with. I don't chase 'em I replace 'em. Onto the next one. |
Brownteeth:Yes, there is a need to ask for proof. Without that proof this is both a generalization and an opinion. |
PRINCEJV2:Hehehe, I've asked guys out before. No biggie [for me]. If I see a guy that I like and I know he's feelin' me too then I don't mind making the first move. Besides, if I don't someone else will and I don't wanna be sitting around asking myself "What if. . . ?" |
Aww, thanks . I like to dabble in other threads |
Brownteeth:And, how did you come to the conclusion that it is 90%? Do you have any evidence proving that? Unless you've got proof about some global study that was conducted about the percentage, this would only seem like an opinion. You knowing or meeting women like that does not make it true. |
Wrong section. Go to the health & fashion section. You might fins some things there. Good luck. |
Olami099:Oh my |
@OP: You saying "If women think a man must prove his manliness by providing everything she needs, why cant they stop competing with men for jobs and allow men all the jobs and money to take care of them?" is a generalization of women. Not all women think like Uche Iwuji. We don't all want men to spend money on us. When I shop, I pay for things with my money. I like to provide for myself. I'm not one of those women who feel that they need a man to give her money for things. That's just not my style. |
Olami099:What do you mean why can't I say nice things for once? What have I done that is so wrong? |
ElRazur:Sorry, I make a mistake and sent that . |
MOBO444:MOBO444, if you don't have any actually things to say then don't type. If you haven't noticed, there is an actual discuss doing on. Keep your women bashing nonsense out of here. If you want to bash women then I suggest you go start another thread. dobodobo:I don't need a man to provide for me. My parents have taught me to be an independent woman. And no, I am not a cavemen. Unlike you, I don't possess archaic beliefs on how men and women live in this society. ElRazur: ![]() |
sistawoman:And why would she have to verify with you that her hymen was intact? Suppose it wasn't? |
dobodobo:SMH, caveman. |
dobodobo:That was by far one one the most idiotic comments I've read on this thread. There's more to her than her beauty. You make it seem as though she's desperate for a man. A woman doesn't need a man in order to feel that she is complete life. That is such an archaic belief. |
sistawoman:Hmmm, this was a very interesting comment to read. Now, I'm curious, would you have done the same thing if you had a daughter who was curious about sex education? The reason I am asking this is because I notice that a lot of Nigerian parents tend to be lenient with boys when it comes to sex and very abrasive when it comes to sex talk with girls. |
skillero:No, I didn't say that. chelseabmw:I'm good, and how are you? koolhunk:That's not nice. We're all just here having a nice conversation that's all. No need to be mean. |
ElRazur:Wow |
^^ and shes Ibo, what else do u expect from that race~
Ok, first of all Igbo is not a race. Igbo is an ethnic group. Second, there is only one race in this world and it is the human race. The human race is comrprised of various ethnic groups. Third, I'm Igbo, but you don't see me thinking the way she does. One again, what is up with you people and generalizing others? Its like a disease or something. SMH ElRazur:Thank you, but I believe all that should be going to my mother and father. Although I still have strong Nigerian ties to my culture, I try to blend the old with the new. Growing up my father was always harsh on my sister and I. One day he told me the reason he was so harsh on the both of us it because he doesn't want us to be dependent or at t the mercy of a man. ElRazur, it is very refreshing to see a man such as yourself speaking in this manner. Kudos to you as well. |
I have no idea. All this hateration is just plain disgusting!!! The things that half these guys on Nairaland complain about women are the same things that they're doing. SMMFH. Seriously, some people need to grow the hell up. If you don't like Nigerian girls/women then MOVE ON!!! Go find another nationality to romance. By the way, I wasn't specifically addressing you Olami099 ![]() |
Yes, I am in the states. New York baby [woop woop] ![]() |
Tosinville: Oh, is that so? Well at least I can afford to travel around. . . Unlike some people. And since when did Vancouver become part of the United States? Please go to Google Maps and and get your info straight. |
ElRazur:I agree with what you said about women of African origin being taught that they need to be dependent on a man, except for the part where you said you don't blame her. I do blame her. I grew up being taught things similar to that yet I don't have the desire to have a man provide for me. I know how to stand on my own two feet and provide for myself. I was having a conversation with my aunt once about the portrayal of Nigerian women in Nollywood movies and how it comes across as "gold diggerish". While we were talking, she pointed out something that slipped my mind. She said that from a young age, that African men need to provide for women and that it was the reason that they show women like that in Nollywood movies is because it is just a mirror image of what the societal beliefs are in African countries. A lot of it stems from the perceived notions of gender roles. Often times when I talk to Nigerian men about my beliefs in gender roles in African culture they get upset and tell me that I have "too much freedom" or that a woman purpose in life is to serve men. |
weedinLA:Boy have you lost your mind?!?! Did I tell you I lived in Vancouver? Did you not see that I live in New York? I said I've been to Vancouver, not that I lived in Vancouver. SMH. READ!!!And to answer your question, I am a nerd at heart. And no, it is not becoming obvious who I am, you haven't even spoken to me long enough to have even half an idea of who I am. Please read the posts sloooooooooowly again. Once again, SMH. |
Ey ya, I liked it. Can't sit here and bash you. You tried. I really like the first song ![]() For those of you making not so nice comments, cut it out. If he had posted something mean, we would have all jumped down his throat. Anyway, thank you poster. It was sweet |
