This is an execution.
This is no combat kill. They yielded and where summarily executed.
Who they were or what they did died with them. We will never know the truth. |

What does success or being successful mean to you as a person?
I don't mean dictionary definition. I refer to personal convictions of what success means. |

bitbybit123: I dont understand. Did you mean i should follow her to hospital where she works and find out if i can get a job in medical line? How possible when i studied Mechanical Engineering and she is a nurse?
Guess you are talking from experience but pls throw more light to it for me. Ask your wife about your options in doing "Carer jobs." If she's a nurse, she will set you up fast. No, I'm not talking from experience and I don't have much information on that. |

nuelnuel: The issue isn't about whether you are affiliated to Azimo or not, it's about getting your facts right. Azimo charges a transaction fee of €2.99 and right now Azimo will give you 429 Naira for €1 while Transferwise will give you 438 Naira for €1. That's almost a 10 Naira difference for every single Euro you send. You've got me confused. For the records, I'm basing my assertions on experience. Sending money from UK to Naija costs you just £1 fee irrespective of the amount you are sending. TransferWise has a varied fee as the amount you are sending varies. So let's say you want to send £100; Azimo: You get a £101 bill from ur account TransferWise: £101.44 from ur account Sending £1000 Azimo : £1001 TransferWise : £1005.48 The misconception was as a result of different locations. My fact holds sway in UK, yours may truth in Aussie. Na Wetin face man, back another. Cheers bro |

Gracefav: Hello colleagues, does anyone know how I can pay NMBI registration fee (in euro) here in Nigeria?. And is there anyone here that successfully transitioned to IRELAND or presently based in Ireland, please I will need your help. A colleague told me it's better to do the whole process of application & assessment yourself and get your DL before involving an Agency or probably apply for job directly by yourself, but I know that will definitely be costly . Any one with any info of any Agency for Ireland? Any information will go a long way to help @barbie, IYIMAN, Grateful4me and others. @Inkredible,we don chat but say something Happy Sunday dear. Well, given the little I know about Ireland. Like I said before in our chats, I don't know anyone that went through direct employment. The ones I know there are schooling and they'll transition after that. However, I did a little research on my own before I finally went through with UK. From what OSP recruitment told me, I'll actually have to do everything out here and even book my flight and make provisions for accomodation independently. Here is an excerpt from my mail: "This offer is a genuine offer for employment in Ireland however, it must be noted that the candidate must be in a financial position to pay for his / her RCSI Aptitude Test, and all associated documents as listed on the attached job specification's required to travel, and work, as well as their own flights to Ireland. This is a significant change to the previous packages available. Please consider this offer and be sure that should you decide to pursue it that you are in a financial position to follow it through." I hope this helps. Cheers! |

nuelnuel: Azimo never offer a better rate than Transferwise. They do. Even if there is a difference, it's minute. Azimo bills you £1 per service, no matter the amount. TransferWise service charge changes as the amount goes up. Caveat: I don't own or work with Azimo. Use the app at your own discretion. Thank you. |

bitbybit123: Please i need an honest advise from experienced Nairalanders especially those residing in united kingdom. First i need to briefly introduce myself. I have a B.tech in Mechanical Engineering but has been working as a Maths and physics teacher in a private school in lagos. I also have a certificate of proficiency in computer repair and maintenance and autocad. My proficiency in autocad aided by my background in Engineering has also helped me to work occasionally as a site supervisor on building construction. I have a wife who is a matron in a public hospital. She has just got a job in U.K. and we all need to migrate but she has to be there first and work for 3-4 months so as to prepare the ground for us to join her. My questions now are: 1. What is the job prospect for me in uk based on my own qualification and experience? 2. Is there anything i need to do here before leaving in order to enhance my chance of getting a better job there? 3. What are the mistakes peculiar to new comers that we need avoid making.
Thanks. When you arrive, follow ur wife to her office and see if you can get a carer job for now. After sometime, re-evaluate your options. My two cents. |

Lexusgs430: Based on your certification, just keep an open mind as to what industry you might find yourself..... You might need to further enhance your certification, retrain in an entirely different field or simply swim as the tide carries you...
Regarding your second question, no point adding certifications. Keep an open mind....
Your last question....... Avoid credit cards, don't spend what you don't have, take your journey one step at a time, United Kingdom is a leveller (you would understand what that means)........ Did you have any issues with credit cards? You've really preached against it alot. |

MizMyColi: Hello,
For old and new migrants,
I discovered this cool online service that allows you transfer foreign funds to your local Naija account.
It is way cheaper than cashremit, worldremit, transfast, cashfast, and co.
I am sharing the link because I am excited at the service and speed of delivery, and more so because I get some reward for those I refer....you also gain by transferring your first 500 dollars for free.
This people exchange 1 pound to naira @498 so imagine what others currencies rate will be like. Is there any other online service that beats that?! They have all the major currencies worldwide too! Not to rain on your parade but Azimo is bad@ss. Better rate, less fee. |
