You may not know it but some of us have been participating and sharing our passion for Nigerian football on this thread for years. Including the guy you just made that nasty reply to.

It's not been up to four days since you started commenting here bro, and already you're telling us what is and what is not allowed here. Do you listen to yourself at all?.

I noticed you've been trying desperately to get our attention and relevance. If that's what you want, you're definitely going about it the wrong way my man.
lol....now you want to start giving me the "we've been here for years line"

I've seen that line here multiple times and it never meant a thing to newbies. Some of us have been here longer than some of you, we just no dey talk.

Anyone who has been here long enough must be used to the occasional derailing of the thread, so, why is there a complaint about it by the people who have been here for years?

Last week, someone mentioned something about jump and pass as regards seeing stuff you're not interested in.

Neither you nor the bros are original members of this thread anyway, so....... And I have seen you post some rude stuff to old members here, so, if someone wants to comment about being rude, no be you bros.

There is a lot of double standard on this thread, I see grin

Read the title of this thread first
the title of this thread is inconsequential.

If the title of the thread determined the discussion, it would not be past page 5,000, now would it? No be you open thread, but you wan moderate am. Go open your own, then you can decide what can be discussed there undecided

And I repeat, Nigerian politics is intertwined with Nigerian football, so, allow people discuss what they wish.

There are tens of THREADS on Nairaland that had their fill on talking about the debate. This thread is about Nigerian football and any discourse different from that is digression.

I wonder why anyone will applaud that, you could as well applaud the women right debate that happened this past days
Nigerian politics is part of Nigerian football.

The NFF is under a Sports Ministry, headed by a minister, appointed by the President, so, Mickael2 is not wrong when he says that the Nigerian elections can be discussed here. You cannot divorce football from politics

For the record, Pep had nothing to do with Kayode's signing. The owners of Man city also own Girona and they signed Kayode in the hope that he'd make it in Girona.
He hit form immediately he joined Shaktar until the injury set in...

I don't deny that most Nigerian players are more interested in the money than the game, but that's not applicable to all of them..sometimes,things just don't go well according to plan ..Sh*t happens...

@the bolded... Ndidi..Uzoho... Ekong
..Aina..Musa..Onyekuru..
Ndidi? Are his stats as good as Torreira's this season? His passing is terrible and he has lost his goal threat. Some would say he declined

Uzoho is in second division, he's decent at best, but not even Donnaruma level when he started

Ekong is still finding his feet, I heard he's had some stinkers recently, he's no world beater though

Aina, same as Uzoho.... Decent at best

Musa. Man's could barely cut it at Leicester, now, a young man is in Saudi Arabia playing ball. If he is so great and actually cared about football, he would not be in Saudi Arabia. The allure of money was greater than his passion for football

Onyekuru? Is that a joke? Maybe he should return to Eupen, because he isn't lighting up Turkey in Galatasary.

Four demonic men could be anything from robbers to even police officers and SARD guys, why will this blogger automatically assume he is talking about ritualists? Abi you just wan align your news to the trend?

Anyway, thank God for his life

The chieftaincy titles are very cheap and commonplace.

With 70k, you can become a chief in Igboland.

I'm sure that if you check Jumia very well, you may see Igbo chieftaincy titles for sale.
any chieftaincy title gotten outside Igbo land has weight only within the state it is gotten.

Sanwo-Olu is not a chief in Igbo land.

He was injured shortly after he joined...

You think another player wasn't brought in to fill in the void?

Simeon was good enough to be noticed by Klopp...His lack of game time at Levante isn't the end for him .
Iheanacho was once good enough to be noticed by Pellegrinni.... Even to play under Pep, but how far now?

Kayode was also good enough for Pep's Manchester City at some point, now, he's selling ice cream in Ukraine grin

See, the issue with most Nigerian footballers is that they have no real passion for football. Their only passion is for the money from football, they are like civil servants who work to get paid, not to make any solid impact in their chosen careers.

Now, you can say some are different, but we are yet to see the different ones. Somehow, all the great potential settles into mediocrity undecided

Let me tell you something .. Klopp is 100% in charge of transfers at Liverpool. No player enters or leave the club without his knowledge... And with the exception of Marko Grujic and Solanke who were brought primarily for the youth team, none of the players Klopp signed at Liverpool are bench warmers or out on loan...

Klopp isn't like Mourinho who signs players anyhow and bench or loan them out... He's like Guardiola who buy players he know will fit into his style of play... Every transfer that happened since his arrival were sanctioned by him...And I promise you, Liverpool were interested in Simeon..
He wasn't really a primary target but was one of the option being considered as backup for Salah and Mane..Liverpool made a bid for him which Gent rejected.. We ended up getting Shaqiri so the interest died down..

If the deal had gone through,Simeon would have gotten his chance under Klopp..and he would have improved...He won't.be a starter but he certainly would have been a better player..

And BTW,hope u are aware that Simeon isnt getting game time at levante cus he got injured almost immediately after he joined them...He didn't even participate in pre season so it's difficult to break into the team now...

Naso una talk say Omeruo was a bench warmer in Leganes...
Somebody that is good is good, and will break into the team, pre-season or not. These excuses will not fly.

Que sera sera, my brother, whatever will be, will be. Simeon and Liverpool was never meant to happen and will most likely, never happen. So, dwell not on what could have been, rather, focus on what is.

Have a good night.
am I doing something that hasn't been repeatedly done here?

Or is dragging the 'young lady' an act that is exclusive to those who are known on this thread?

I've been a guest long enough to know that dragging the 'young lady' is a rite of passage on this thread for most newbies, so, allow me pass through mine.

Under Klopp, average players can be transformed to.world class...Klopp proved that at Dortmund already...He is proving it in Liverpool.
Look at how much he bought Shaqiri,Salah,Robertson and Mane...and look at how good they are..

That's why I'm very angry with Gent for rejecting Liverpool's initial bid for Simeon...If they had accepted, Simeon might be a Liverpool player now and he would be balling hard!
grin grin

Simeon for go on loan under Klopp or will be chopping bench at best. All these your mediocre players you people like hyping here, wetin e dey do for Levante now?

99% of Nigerian players are only useful to teams they are not part of, but once they are part of a team, they are useless.

Na true u talk my brother... If we look am well... Many people are sad and depressed... They use social media as a medium to recuperate
exactly

The sad thing is social media is not the place for such, because as can be seen on this thread, there are many sad, toxic and bitter people on social media who only serve to worsen mental health.

There are gangs of bullies on this thread, on both sides. Dem dey support their people, dey bully one person. Mob mentality full this thread. Some days, your people go dey so you go dey alright, some other days na the other person people go dey, so you no go dey alright

This thread is a classic example of the ills of social media and why people with mental health issues should stay off it. So many terrible human beings, just saying the worst things to each other.

The purpose of this thread is obviously not fulfilled

I see many sad people on this thread, their only joy is from the likes from virtual people and that is why this thread dey like where ashawo dey live. So many sad people and their unverifiable importance looking for who will clap for them.
