BruncleZuma:I am aware the relationship between them are not that great, all parties involved are to blame for it. Especially the traditional chiefs who go behind to extort money from OICs. One of the reason why Ogoni clean up hasn't started is because some of the ogonis wants the money to be shared amongst themselves and the government going by their anti corruption crusade dont want such a situation. The OICs and the others have their own issues too. So I think putting the army there might be the first step of ensuring peace is restored, any other measures can then follow. |
gare:Based on my experience, bodo, k-dere, b-dere, gokana and the likes are some the volatile areas in Ogoni Land, nobody would want to go there to do any clean up without being assured of adequate security. This is how civil disturbance begin, some of us nearly lost our lives via these protests there and I personally do not trust the capacity of the police in this matter. |
gcof:Peace have to be restored before any OSR can be carried out by NOSDRA, others. If the government feels it is the soldiers that can restore law and order then so be it. Some of these oil spills are as a result of third party interference by the boys and the same boys would still be protesting accusing everyone of environmental degradation. Let there be peace first, then a Joint Investigation Visit (JIV) be carried out to determine the actual cause of spill, level and extent of impact of the spill in other to determine how clean up would be carried out. |

End time doctor. |
eagleeye2:If the new minimum wage is not implemented, where will they derive the adequate purchasing power to patronize your fake products littered everywhere ![]() Must you tibalize every issue? Tufiakwa! |
You mean PDP members in diaspora. |
iammo:Chai! Its okay please calm down. |
babamadiba:An heir in spirit and in truth...LMao! |
lonelydora:It is not a wrong thing to want wike out by all means democratic. They didn't point a gun at wike to remove him. Its pure politics as it is played in rivers. Wike also don't want anything APC by all means, that's why he is using the court to frustrate Ameachi, there is nothing wrong in that too. Its pure politics as it is played in rivers. My issue is, Awara should be left alone. |
lonelydora:I don't like tribalism but I just couldn't help but include the bolded. Ameachi and Wike are the main actors in this age long crisis going on in Rivers State. And they are from the same tribe Ikwere. They are not the only tribe with competent hands, let's try others. Ameachi had no choice than to endorse another candidate from a different party because of the division in APC rivers as regards who should fly the party flag so the Rivers PDP are angry at Awara, calling him names, some have even threatening to kill him. |
lonelydora: Why would rivers burn if Awara wins the governorship elections? Doesn't he have a right to contest election as rivers citizen? You are saying he didn't campaign, but his poster are seen around his constituency, so the fact that you didn't see them or that he didn't have stolen government funds to campaign widely doesn't mean he didn't campaign. I know the reason you are angry and its because ameachi is backing him with all federal might he could muster. In as much as I don't support ameachi over what he is doing, every politician in Nigeria have those who back them for victory, Atiku had the elites backing him to emerge the president elect, Buhari had those backing him to win, some calles them cabal.....wike also had GeJ backing him too, and the state funds at his disposal. If you have any issue Ameachi, direct your grievances to him and leave awara alone. It is not his fault that Ameachi decided to back him. Let the riverine people have a taste of power too, ikwere had been occupying that seat for too long. If Awara is declared winner and you decided to burn Rivers State, your people would burn along with it, so be wise. |
Omo ale ni bobo yi sha! Ban Amala? For what? |
Ok |
GreenWhiteGreen:Is it your ruling? |
Adakintroy:Backward place on earth? And your people keep migrating in droves to Lagos for greener pastures. Concentrate on your state and leave Lagos State for us to choose whoever we want, it doesn't concern you if he is a nobody. |
Mintum:Tinubu's Godfatherism is developmental compared to Saraki's. That's the difference. So shouting O to ge in Lagos is a waste of time. Tinubu would continue to set the pace for others to follow in lagos and south west in general. If the Igbo's don't like it, they should relocate their different states and leave the Yoruba's alone with their Tinubu. |
chrisdstar:Liar! He was removed by Gej for blowing the whistle of a missing $10 billion in the CBN vault. |
jayson87:Please, tell us how you arrived at this conclusion? How has Ambode performed better than Fashola? Apart from the political reasons for removing Ambode, when it comes performance, it was below standard fashola set by Fashola. |
ipobarethieves:Also restitute by first changing your moniker to something else. |
ninocia18:Thank you very much for your submission. Student SUG politics in tertiary institutions is also worse. I don't care about age anymore, I have to invade your mindset before casting my vote. |
Boss20:Now you know that the Yorubas are not bigots and tribalistic as many south Easterners would have you all believe. |
kollinz1234:Tinubu uses his lordship to bring development and positive concessions with him to south west, that's what makes him different from Saraki. Name one developmental stride Saraki had brought to kwara since he took over their family dynasty from his father up till now ![]() |
stephleena:You expect me to answer that? Go and ask the Ariria Marketers, Npower beneficiaries, Etc. |
reachbenny:Please send your petition to the electoral tribunal. Thanks |
UcLloyd:Your electronic curse don't hold water! Overcome your bitterness and wish her/him a happy birthday. There is life after PDP/APC. |
handie:You're welcome. Happy Birthday to you, LLNP. |
tossie101:How you even got this slightest idea that Atiku would trump Buhari in the north is beyond me. I have always say to people that Atiku stands no chance of defeating Buhari either in a free and fair election or by rigging. That was the mistake PDP made. Kwakwanso, et all would have done better. The NNPC sale rhetorics didn't help either. PDP would definitely win in the east but those who voted Buhari there did so because of his little achievements there compared to no physical achievements from the PDP. Whoever wins, life must go on. |
