PalmTree: Hello Everyone, it gladdens my heart to know that many people are beginning to embrace Geo-Information Sciences and that fact alone gladdens my heart. Judging from the responses on this thread and the e-mails that I have received, I realize that many of us still yearn for more information on GIS. I want to suggest with the permission of integrityfood (he owns the thread) that people who have some knowledge about the field share their information and expertise on this thread for the benefit of all. As an individual, I'm willing to do my bit. Over to you, Mr integrityfood.

permission granted with delight. I await your insightful contribution and education interactions. I must thank you Mr Palmtree for all the effort you are putting in this venture of educating people about this discipline. Can we start talking about the after school potentials of the course
Car Talk / Re: New Plate Number And Driver's License by integrityfood: 2:28pm On Aug 12, 2013
I have strong conviction that the purpose for new plate and rush driver's licence are for private gains by the igbo man chief executive of FRCE. Let the NASS stop this unwholesome process and call for updating of the current plate number to meet with int"l standard and ppl should just be allowed to go n renew their expired licence without this controversies
pls. D last time i checked, u muist caugh out about 50k to be on d road with this strange n self seeking policy.

Agriculture / Re: Starting An Oil Palm Plantation by integrityfood: 1:10pm On Jun 24, 2013
Pls can anyone in the house brief on the market for oil palm products?? is there market here in Nigeria or export opportunities exist??
Agriculture / Re: Starting An Oil Palm Plantation by integrityfood: 1:09pm On Jun 24, 2013
wirinet:

I appreciate the fact thatv as a young man, you have decided to take your destiny into your hands by taking to agriculture instead of waiting for a white collar job or engaging in a get rich quick scheme. I wish more youth imbibe that orientation, Nigeria would indeed be on the way to recovery. Having said that, you are allowing ego and pride to set in, which can destroy you. The fact that you have spent 3.5 million naira does not mean a thing, Big multinational companies with Harvard trained financial gurus make mistakes that cost billions of dollars. You should heed the warnings about your spacings, because of this arguments about spacings, i went to take a look at the palm tree in my uncle's house (we itsekiri's do not joke with our banga soup). He planted one he obtained from the agricultural institute in Ibadan and it is the agric specie. On looking at the lenth of the leaves it cannot be less than 2.5metres long and it is only about 5 years old. I guess that at 8 years, the leaves would not be less than 3m long each, so the spacings should be at least 6m to avoid the leaves touching each other.

Do you even know what 1.5m is? that is less than 5 feet. An average man is over 1.7m. If your are not sure the best thing is to take a tape (it is about N250) and physically measure a matured plant. As pointed out if you make a mistake in the spacings, it would have disasterous consequences on your yield.

I think you should look at the possibility of getting an agricultural loan to expand the business. There are lots of soft loans with low interest rates and long payback time to help the agricultural sector. You need to register your company and join relevant agricultual cooperatives, then approach the relevant agricultural parastatals - both state and federal. The process might be tedious but you can get quite a substantial amount.

Pls more infor/details on the agric soft loan that is meant for long term agric business like this?
Agriculture / Re: Starting An Oil Palm Plantation by integrityfood: 1:07pm On Jun 24, 2013

henrimoto: comunities dat 're off good roads, and they re a little bit off major roads. comunities dat looks as if there's no serious development going on there. u will even get an acre for 85-90k. take a good luk @ igbesa. b4 now, comunities around dat place do give away their lands 4 little or nothing. go to dose areas now,it's somthing else. there 're places in ogbomoso, oyo state. where can get acres of land very very cheap. say 75-80k.

am interested if this price is real. pls my email is integrityfood@gmail.com. i will like to meet with u and start the purchase of the land as am interested in the oil palm business. or call 08135044012
Politics / Re: Governors In State Of Emergency Lose Power by integrityfood: 5:01pm On May 24, 2013
Things fall apart for the North!!! This si a game changer!!! I have advocated for a zero alocation to political office holder including lawmakers n d executive in trouble region so the funding of BH may be reduce. So finally, we are on the right track towards peace and development. ACN/APC should bury their head in shame if they cant see the need for this drastic action to save lives in borno, Adamawa and Yobe including the entire nation.

Religion / Re: Ghanaian Police Commander Orders SCOAN To Host Activities In Bigger Venues by integrityfood: 1:03pm On May 23, 2013
No single soul perished attending Jesus Christ' crusade not even that of his disciples like Paul, Peter etc where you have primitive people both old n young. So if TB Joshua promised them holy water for divine protection, healing, fortune etc, why couldn't the church leaders raised the death who came for mercy, blessing and God's intervention upon their lives?? I do not have the power to declare TB Joshua a false prophet God knows his people and will judge n reward accordingly but my concern is that those who sought help from TB Joshua lost their live in the process in his church crusade without a timely intervention like christ did in the case of Lazarus.

Stop talking out your azz

Not on BH except you make mistake to report to a police man who is a BH member. I feela central information centre should be open for data collection on BH in the North
Politics / Re: 185 Killed As Boko-Haram Fights With JTF by integrityfood: 2:59pm On Apr 23, 2013
alnaijiri: Make no mistake, the BH fighters are misguided and are committing unIslamic atrocities. But EVERY Nigerian Muslim, from Lagos to Katsina, must feel stirred to the soul by the violence that strikes our land. What was it to provoke Muslim youths to such barbarism. Was it a primal cry to defend Islam and our noble way of life passed on to us by our fathers but now under threat from the unspeakable filth of Nigerian (South-dominated) mainstream culture, a culture of wanton greed, of corruption, of adultery, of inhumanity, and above all of delusions.

If you are guilty of any of these sins you mentioned and other your Allah kicked against and points accusing fingers on others, then you have successfully invoke Allah's anger on your soul but if you are a faithful muslim without error, may Allah bless and proper you amen
