DaVerdict: Buhari, Osinbajo’ve sinned against God, Nigerians -Sen Adeyemi 0
BY OUR REPORTER ON MARCH 20, 2015 COVER, POLITICS From ADETUTU FOLASADE-KOYI, Abuja
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Smart Adeyemi yesterday, said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has committed two major mistakes against God and Nigerians.
The two mistakes according to Adeyemi are: foisting Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), a dictator, on the electorate and making his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, a man of God, abandon his pastoral calling.
In an interview with newsmen in Abuja yesterday, Senator Adeyemi insisted that the APC made “a grievous mistake by picking Buhari as its presidential candidate and they capped that up by bringing Prof. Osinbajo. They went and lured a man of God from the church to join a dictator. He should be prepared to do restitution after March 28.”
“By foisting Buhari on Nigerians; a man, who ordinarily should be asking for forgiveness and doing restitution in his old age, the APC has wronged Nigerians. This is a man, who is not even in tune with economic realities.”
Senator Adeyemi called on the leadership of the Redeemed Church of God not to allow Osinbajo back into its fold but make him undergo cleansing and restitution.
His words: “APC lured a man to betray his divine calling. Osinbajo should not be allowed to go back to Redeemed Church. He has betrayed the sheep he’s pastoring. I’m ashamed that he has betrayed his calling.
“He should undergo restitution and purification. Why? Because he has mingled in sinful activities. He has joined people in maligning a man chosen by God to lead Nigeria and left the path to align with a man that sinned against God and Nigerians.
“He’s now celebrating a dictator against the Nigerian people. It was Buhari who jailed people for 150 and 200 years when he was Head of State. Where have you ever heard of such sentences? If he thinks some people have forgotten, we have not.
“Osinbajo is backing a man without vision and has decided to join a party that is godless. The APC is a party that has been formed purely for vendetta; the APC is only out to retaliate and settle scores with people and its unfortunate that a man of God is in cahoots with these groups of people. The APC was formed purely for business purposes.
“Buhari today should be kept in isolation, praying for forgiveness of sins against God and the Nigerian people; for the oppression of the Nigerian people and the draconian laws he foisted on the people.”
Senator Adeyemi insisted that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would win the March 28 and April 11 polls with a landslide.

Vivly: I just finished watching Network news on NTA and I saw a PDP commercial. It started with a video of 'Buhari as a former dictator' to a slogan' A dictator is always a dictator' and finally, vote for Goodluck Jonathan- Always a civilian. This is just one out of several.
This is so wrong. The rule of thumb states 'Never ever use negative campaign tactics. Instead of opponents to focus on what they've achieved or failed to achieve, they channel their energy to showing us the supposed shortcomings of the other person. I think we all know who the real culprits of this negative campaigning are, and honestly, they are encouraging poor voters turnout, creating a worse image of themselves, increasing indifference and possible election violence.
In Civilized countries, even the incumbent would have been sued for slander and libel. Please learn to campaign by showing us your proposed manifestoes and stop telling us Military rule is a bad thing or that someone from another religion shouldn't rule because from all indications, Nigeria had the best years during the military era and besides, who says ours is the superior religion? Meaning:- When a government of approximately 6 years does such it means they have done nothing tangible to the benefit of the people. else they will spend their time show casing their achievements |

Flets: Those card readers better work perfectly on that day or we might just set this country on fire.
For a tensed election such as this, are we ready for this card reader technology?
What if the batteries run out before accreditation? What if touts come in and snatch the reader? What if bonafide electorate finger prints cannot be read? Are we ready for the law suits that will follow disenfranchisement from these readers? Why if law enforcement agents in connivance with a party simulate violence to destroy these gadgets?
Are we ready for the outcome? Before you quote this is Nigeria and the politicians are desperate. They will rig with or without the card readers but are we ready for tge outcome? Are the INEC officers safe with this? Not too worry.all your questions have been provided answers for if you would kindly link up inec website and follow townhall meetings which inec is having every now and then |

Politics › Re: No Link Between Buhari, Boko Haram – Jonathan Campaign Group by Intendy: 12:04pm On Mar 17, 2015 |
Truthhurtss: Nigeria presently faces 3 major challenges; Boko haram insurgency A dwindling economy Corruption.
Although corruption has been inexistence since independence and not like some people will want us to believe it started from a particular party. It is well known that Buhari is a boko haram sympathizer, but it is yet to be fully established if he is a sponsor.
If Buhari emerge as president, then we should pray that he is indeed a boko haram sponsor because it will be easy for him to end this insurgency. But if he isn't the sponsor, then Nigeria is DOOMED.
Reasons: Boko haram will continue the insurgency and at the same time the Niger delta militants will be on the rampage, giving Buhari not one but two millitancy groups to tackle. And with the crippling economy, Buhari will not be fully focused on fighting corruption, instead, he will be bent on fighting both militant groups which is a very tedious task. This will only pave way for more corruption to take place, since the main focus of his administration will be to conquer both militant group.
On the other hand, if GEJ wins this election, there is HOPE for Nigeria
Reasons: If the intensity presently used in battling boko haram is maintained and if possible intensified, surely the insurgency will reduced to its barest minimum if not entirely crushed. Also if the motive of those sponsoring boko haram is to discredit this present administration, then with the emergence of GEJ as the president, all their effort will be wasted and this may force them to stop this insurgency since it didn't pay off. With Jonathan in power, there won't be any need for Niger delta militants to go on rampage destroying pipelines which will further cripple the economy. The worst case senerio will be the continuous battling of boko haram.
Looking at the both outcome, it seems Jonathan is the lesser of two evils.
With the present effort by the millitary, GEJ needs all our support to move Nigeria a step further. Supporting Buhari is a very big gamble which failure to meet expecation will be so disastrous compared to what we face today.
I'm not here for arguments, I just here to show what sensible Nigerians out into consideration before casting their vote. MYOPIC REASONING. ENLARGE YOUR COAST |
